Yeji came three time a day to walk Eilidh while I was recovering from surgery. She was friendly, communicative, and arrived on time. Most importantly, she treated my fur baby well, giving her affection and some much needed exercise/potty time. I will definitely reach out to Yeji if I ever need help again.

About: I’ve been taking care of animals for over 10 years. I have grown up with both cats and dogs, and I currently have a 3 year old cat of my own. I also volunteer with BARCS for their dogs day out program, so I have a lot of experience with big dogs. I currently work full time in logistics, and I work from home 3 days a week. I have free time throughout the day on my remote days and on the weekends as well. I always like to take care of animals as if they are my own. Your animals will always be safe and secure and I always go the extra mile to make sure they are as comfortable and safe as possible.

About: I've been around dogs for over 25 years. I raised my miniature schnauzer, Shadow, from a puppy to 16 years old, so I've been through every stage from puppy chaos to senior slow walks. These days I have my Australian cattle dog, Tyson, at home, and his brother Blu lives with my parents, so dogs have pretty much always been part of my life. Living with a high energy herding breed has taught me a lot about structure, exercise, and keeping a dog mentally stimulated, not just tired out. Whether your dog is calm and easygoing or needs a bit more attention, I'll adjust to their pace and keep things consistent. You can expect clear communication, a reliable routine, and someone who actually enjoys the work. I work from home, which means I have a lot of flexibility and get to make my own schedule most days. That flexibility lets me be available for walks, drop-ins, or boarding without being boxed into a strict 9 to 5. I feed my own dog before 7am and again after 4pm, though the exact timing shifts a bit depending on what the day looks like. That same flexibility means I can adjust to fit your dog's routine instead of asking them to fit into mine. My home has a fully fenced backyard, so your dog will have safe space to run and explore outside. We're also close to several parks and walking trails, plus Patapsco State Park nearby for longer hikes if your dog has more energy to burn. I like to keep walks and outdoor time varied so dogs get more than just a lap around the block. Your dog's safety and comfort come first, and I'll adjust the routine to whatever makes them feel most at ease.

About: I have over six years of experience providing dependable and compassionate care for dogs of all breeds and sizes. I visit clients homes to ensure their pets are comfortable, safe, and well cared for while their owners are away. My responsibilities include: Walking dogs and providing regular exercise. Feeding dogs according to their schedules and dietary needs. Bathing dogs when requested. Brushing their teeth and assisting with basic grooming. Providing companionship, playtime, and attention to help pets feel comfortable. Monitoring each dog's well-being and notifying owners of any concerns. For drop-in visits, making sure dogs have fresh water, food, potty breaks, and everything they need before I leave. Keeping clients' homes clean and secure during every visit. I take pride in being reliable, patient, and attentive to each dog's individual needs, ensuring both pets and their owners have peace of mind. For 10 months of the year, I work full-time for BCPS assisting special needs students. During the school year, I schedule pet care visits after my workday, typically beginning around 4:00 p.m. This allows me to provide reliable evening care for pets while maintaining my full-time position. During the summer months, when school is not in session, I provide pet care full-time. This gives me the flexibility to offer morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight services as needed. Providing a safe and comfortable environment is my top priority when caring for dogs. I make sure all potential hazards, such as small objects or anything that could be harmful, are picked up and out of reach. I ensure every dog has access to fresh water at all times, stays hydrated, and receives attentive, compassionate care. I also closely monitor each pet's behavior and well-being to make sure they are happy, comfortable, and safe throughout my time with them.

Thomas walks Atlas 3 times a week and he is always very communicative and cordial. He is attentive to Atlas' needs and adapts well to both our dog's size and leash reactivity, knowing when to change routes, take a break, or return home early if needed. Atlas is always thrilled to see him and comes home satisfied from their trips. Thomas is also very observant of any physical changes to dogs in his care and has good instincts with how best to proceed during unique situations. His background in Canine Search & Rescue no doubt helps Thomas get a feel for new animals quickly and was one of the reasons we initially reached out to him. Having Thomas as a walker has been a wonderful experience and our buddy is benefitting greatly from his expertise.

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
