“It was my first time getting a dog walker and Janine was fantastic! She was patient with all my questions/instructions and seriously went above and beyond. I will definitely ask her to walk my dog again!”

“Sophie did an amazing job with my dogs per usual and I know they gave her more trouble than they would give me. I'm forever grateful for her and trust her to care for my dogs 🐕”

“Susan was a BLESSING for me and my dog when we needed a last minute check-in. She was so incredibly thorough and took great care to make sure she fit our routine and connected with Birdy. I recommend Susan to absolutely anyone who’s looking for competent care, a bubbly personality, and patience with an energetic and home-defending fuzz butt!!! We loved her!”

About: I have taken care of two smaller dogs the past 3 years and have learned the hard work that comes with them. I have also volunteered at BARCS for dog days out. I am comfortable with leash trained dogs and understand feeding schedules, potty breaks, and playtime. Hello! I am currently a college student working a part-time internship and taking a summer class! I am often available on weekends and monday, wednesday, and friday nights. I know how to crate dogs if needed and have reliable transportation to an emergency vet if needed. I have grown up around cats and dogs all my life so I understand the importance of keeping your pet safe.
“Sean is very kind, detail oriented and communicative. He went above and beyond to try and tailor the visits and walks to my pup’s specific needs. Looking forward to working with him again!”

I have extensive experience with large dogs and puppies as well! I regularly housesit for homes with multiple animals and multiple species; dogs, cats, fish, bunnies, gerbils, and hamsters too! About: I've taken a love to animals since I was young. I volunteer with animals every week and I own two of my own kitties. I love taking care of older animals. I'm not a trainer but I have trained my kitties to sit, stand, spin, etc. I currently work with dogs via boarding and doggy day care! I can do anytime since I am a full-time student on summer break. I also take some days to volunteer with shelter animals, those days are decided differently weekly and can easily be altered to accommodate you and your fur baby! I will always follow any directions you have extremely carefully so both parties and the fur baby are safe! I love having a list that I can easily reference if need be. I love having treats to give them if you allow me too :)
“Samantha hooked me up last minute when we started an unexpected event and needed immediate recurring care. She's polite and responsive, and knows how to handle a weird finicky dog. My dog seems to love her!”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life ranging in size from a pug to english mastiffs. My last mastiff had epilepsy so no medical issue is too big for me to handle. I am a recent college graduate looking to make some extra money while looking for a job. I currently have a lot of time on my hands so I am keeping busy by helping other pet owners! Both of my dogs are friendly, but the size of my mastiff Boh can intimidate other dogs. He is a very sweet boy just large. I am able to bring them over to my fenced in yard or come to you and hang out with your pup.
“Madison is excellent and she does excellent work! I highly recommend her. She is timely, thoughtful, considerate and takes very good care of Lilly. I am very happy with Madison's service!”

“He is wonderful! My dog loves him. He does a great job of being friendly and sweet with my animals but also keeps him in-line! He doesn't let him pull or run all over the place! He's also very respectful of my house and towards myself.”

“Corey sent several photos and a video for the drop in visit & walk. The dogs looked like they were having a great time. One of my dogs is high energy and reactive and Corey was comfortable handling her. Thank you Corey !”

“Kaitlin arrived on time, took our dog out in this frosty weather and managed to get Bentley moving despite the snow and ice. She is very friendly, responsible and conscientious- I felt comfortable when I first met her and I’m very happy with the quality of her work.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Woodlawn
Jahborne was great with my sweet prince. Communication was excellent, I couldn’t have trusted anyone more with caring for him. He asked questions and answered my text almost immediately if I needed anything and I will definitely be booking again! Thanks a lot !!!!

I was thoroughly pleased with Erika. She was punctual and my fur baby was excited for her walks. I could see her on the doorbell camera when I was away and she was always happy when Erika showed up. I especially loved the photos and updates for each of her walks. I will definitely use Erika for future services.

I never had a need to have someone else walk Greta before. She is energetic and loves to explore on hour long walks, so I had concerns about someone being able to handle her. Simon was outstanding and indulged Greta's inclinations to wander different paths around the area. I would highly recommend Simon!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
