“My Zeus is so happy with Dimitri that when he arrives he grabs his leash and refuses to let us say hi! We are extremely happy with Dimitri he is on time and communicates very well with any changes or updates. I would highly recommend him just not on my day and time.”

“Susan was a BLESSING for me and my dog when we needed a last minute check-in. She was so incredibly thorough and took great care to make sure she fit our routine and connected with Birdy. I recommend Susan to absolutely anyone who’s looking for competent care, a bubbly personality, and patience with an energetic and home-defending fuzz butt!!! We loved her!”

“Roy and his wife Shernette are very experienced dog walkers. They are wonderful people and enjoy taking good care of your pets. My dog would be stuck in her crate all day but now has a better life thanks to Shernette. Awesome service!”
“Bronte provided pictures & detailed information about her walks with Jade. I can tell that Jade really enjoyed being out with Bronte & that reassured me that I made the perfect choice by selecting her. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I have taken care of animals all of my life. I have had cats all my life, even had 9 once because mama decided to have kittens. I have had mostly medium to small dogs including beagals, Maltese, Lhasa Apso, etc. My sister has a husky and I also help dog sit her as well. I currently have a jackapoo, tabby cat, and a ball python. I love taking care of animals and find it fun to meet new furfriends. I work full-time, but I am able to drive to a place to and from work, especially on the weekends when I am off work. I am very nice and I am willing to follow all steps needed to make your pet(s) feel safe while you are away. I will always have treats for doggies and some catnip for the kitties.
About: I’ve always had a special bond with animals, and my family often trusts me to care for their dogs. I look forward to making you and your pets happy too. I have a wonderful Standard Poodle named Stormi Bless. Caring for pets is my part-time job while I’m also pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. I’m confident I can build a strong connection with your dog and provide them with the love and attention they deserve. When I look after my family’s dogs, I make sure they get plenty of attention, affection, and playtime. I’m always mindful of their needs, whether it’s time for a walk, a meal, or just some extra care. This is currently my part time job as I am in college as well. I currently take up criminal justice, but I am sure to connect with your dog and show them support. When taking care of my family pets I am sure to make sure their dogs get attention, love, and the play time they need. When a pet shows signs of needing a walk or it’s time for food I pay attention to it all.
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life ranging in size from a pug to english mastiffs. My last mastiff had epilepsy so no medical issue is too big for me to handle. I am a recent college graduate looking to make some extra money while looking for a job. I currently have a lot of time on my hands so I am keeping busy by helping other pet owners! Both of my dogs are friendly, but the size of my mastiff Boh can intimidate other dogs. He is a very sweet boy just large. I am able to bring them over to my fenced in yard or come to you and hang out with your pup.

“Natasha is a dog whisperer! She’s fantastic with Keiko. I’ve been working with her for months now and she’s very reliable. She’s timely, great at communicating, and you can tell she really loves doggos. I’ve recommended Natasha to a few friends already and will continue to recommend her to anyone needing a reliable dog walker!”

“It was my first time getting a dog walker and Janine was fantastic! She was patient with all my questions/instructions and seriously went above and beyond. I will definitely ask her to walk my dog again!”

About: I've taken care of others animals since I was a kid. From yorkies to pitbulls, cats, birds and everything else. I would be excited to help your fur family with whatever you need! I currently work part-time with a flexible schedule. I understand that life can cone out of nowhere, so I will do my best to work with you to care for your furry children. The best care comes from attention and routine. Of course, pets still love to throw curveballs, so its important to roll with those too. I am happy to discuss you and your pet's needs to come up with the best plan.
“A big thanks to Tabitha for coming out last min. Coda is super friendly and loves everyone. The walk was not far in distance especially for being an hour but I know he appreciated being out for a while. Thanks again for helping out and thanks for pictures!”

“Kaitlin arrived on time, took our dog out in this frosty weather and managed to get Bentley moving despite the snow and ice. She is very friendly, responsible and conscientious- I felt comfortable when I first met her and I’m very happy with the quality of her work.”
About: Starting at the age of 11 up to today I have been trusted to take care, bathe and feed animals in my neighborhood, friends and family. I’m well at observing and giving medication if needed for older pets but also can be playful and help with the puppies/kittens as well! I currently work at an animal hospital which helps in my knowledge of feeding and taking care of pets. I work part time, mainly mornings but I’m willing to work around that if needed. I am available on weekends and holidays to take care of your pets needs. I can usually make something work around my schedule. At my house, there is acres of land and space. I have two very friendly dogs which I can either keep away or keep your pet company whichever is fine. For the clients home, I’m willing to work with whatever situation/care is needed
“Sophie did an amazing job with my dogs per usual and I know they gave her more trouble than they would give me. I'm forever grateful for her and trust her to care for my dogs 🐕”

About: I have taken care of pets since I was six years old, starting with a few fish. Then it developed into lizards, birds, hermit crabs and dogs. I love and care for all and make careful research to provide the best care. I’m home from college so my weekly routine is very flexible until the end of summer! Just in time for vacation! Personal preference is for afternoons but happy to work with anything. I keep alarms set at home for when to feed my pets so everyone knows when it’s breakfast and dinner time! Three times a day I will take my dog out for 30-minute to an hour long walk. As a 75lbs husky, my dog loved to pull on the leash but I was able to slowly train him out of that habit. Now he walks beside me and makes walking around the neighborhood a breeze!

My Zeus is so happy with Dimitri that when he arrives he grabs his leash and refuses to let us say hi! We are extremely happy with Dimitri he is on time and communicates very well with any changes or updates. I would highly recommend him just not on my day and time.

Thomas walks Atlas 3 times a week and he is always very communicative and cordial. He is attentive to Atlas' needs and adapts well to both our dog's size and leash reactivity, knowing when to change routes, take a break, or return home early if needed. Atlas is always thrilled to see him and comes home satisfied from their trips. Thomas is also very observant of any physical changes to dogs in his care and has good instincts with how best to proceed during unique situations. His background in Canine Search & Rescue no doubt helps Thomas get a feel for new animals quickly and was one of the reasons we initially reached out to him. Having Thomas as a walker has been a wonderful experience and our buddy is benefitting greatly from his expertise.

I was thoroughly pleased with Erika. She was punctual and my fur baby was excited for her walks. I could see her on the doorbell camera when I was away and she was always happy when Erika showed up. I especially loved the photos and updates for each of her walks. I will definitely use Erika for future services.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
