About: I have been taking care of pets since I was in 5th grade. I have had a dog my whole life who is dog reactive and territorial and I have played a huge part in training her. I have taken care of my neighbors' pets and my family members' pets for the past 12 years every time they go away on vacation or need last-minute emergency help. I also volunteered as a dog walker at the SPCA in 2019 and went through animal behavior training. I have pet-sit both dogs and cats, old and young, and have taken care of dogs in need of taking medication. I am a very reliable, patient, and understanding person who is excited to work with you and your pets! I am currently a graduate student and work part-time. My schedule is pretty flexible and I have availability in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I will communicate any specific time conflicts before booking. I do not offer to take care of pets in my home at the moment. I will be able to take care of your dog in your home however you prefer. I am very respectful of other people's homes and will be very flexible to your pet's specific schedule or needs.

I’ve dealt with animals healthy and disabled, I’ve also dealt with animals of all sizes including horses! I rode horses for 14 years of my life and I’ve dealt with animals as small as a fish. For $15 extra I can do a professional photography photo shoot with the pets and include 5 digital photos and 1 complimentary 8x10 print 😊 I am currently a Junior at Stevenson University, so the pets I sit need to be okay with being let alone for a couple of hours while I attend classes. I love all animals and want to make sure all pets are happy and safe within the environment I create.

My availability is very flexible and I'm always eager to work around everyone's schedule so your babies have the care and attention they deserve! Your pets will be safe and at ease with me. Finding a reliable dog walker isn’t easy, but she exceeded all expectations! She has been absolutely amazing with Rocky—he truly adored her and was always so excited to see her. What really stood out is her dedication—she would even come late at night if Rocky didn’t go during his evening walk, just to make sure he was comfortable. She went above and beyond, even taking him on car rides, which he loved! She’s incredibly friendly, reliable, and genuinely cares about the dogs she works with. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy and kind to take care of your pet, she’s the best!

Shawn is an excellent dog walker—patient, reliable, and truly caring. He took his time with my dog, He communicated clearly, and was flexible enough to accommodate a last-minute booking. He’s the best dog walker I’ve had in a long time, and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I used Elan to walk our girl Neffie for a few days for the 1st. I’m always reserved when allowing new dog walkers into my home. However, Elan came a few days before and met with Neffie and me to get special instructions and the lay of the land. Neffie warmed up to her instantly. Elan, was a pleasure, on time with her walks, sent me photos, and updated me how my baby was doing. I will definitely use her again. Thanks again Elan for giving me a piece of mind. :)

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
