“Rodney and Marissa are wonderful! They took such good care of my Benji. Benji is rather shy and does not have many opportunities to socialize with other animals. When I told Rodney about this he assured me that they would help Benji to be comfortable around their pets, and they did just that. They sent photos of Benji running in the yard with his new furry friend. They also made sure that Benji stayed on his eating and napping schedule. Benji will definitely be visiting Rodney and Marissa again.”

“Completely trustworthy with our fur babies! Can't say enough about Felice and Ken. They truly cater to the dogs and our pups can't wait to return each week. A plus for both daycare and boarding.”

“Lingli came through for our last minute doggy daycare needs and we are grateful! She was consistently responsive over messages, and was very sweet to our small dog, Gary, during their meet and greet, gently letting him get used to her. He was excited to see her again when we returned for drop off a couple days later. We appreciated the photos of his stay and know he was well looked after.”

“My dog had a wonderful time at Brittanie and Ryan’s. They have two lovely labs and my dog had a great time playing with them. She was tired and happy when she came home. I would definitely recommend them for doggie daycare.”

“Kelly took amazing care of our puppy Murphy!! She sent me many photos and videos throughout the day, she took the dogs on long walks and gave them lots of playtime, she made sure my puppy had time to take a nap, and she was very responsive. Kelly and her dog Callie are incredibly sweet and I give them my highest recommendation!! We hope that Murphy will return to play soon!”

“Kassie was absolutely wonderful! She accommodated us on super short notice after a last-minute cancellation and took amazing care of our pup who was in heat. She followed all recommendations & requests we left, and sent frequent updates and photos throughout our time away, which gave us total peace of mind. Her home is perfectly set up for pets, featuring plenty of toys, dishes, and a great fenced-in backyard for exercise. Thank you, Kassie, for making sure Shyloh was so well loved and cared for. We appreciate you so much! 🙏🏽”

“My pup, Yumi, had a great time with Melanie and her pup. It was our first time doing a daycare service with Yumi but Melanie was very attentive and sweet to my Yumi. She was also very accommodating when my schedule had to change a bit as well and i greatly appreciate that. I felt comfortable and safe leaving Mr fur baby in her hands and would definitely book again in the future.”

About: I’m Miles! I’ve had dogs my whole life and now share my home with two adopted pups, Popcorn (5) and Jelly (4) — friendly, playful, and always happy to make a new friend. My wife and I both work from home on evening schedules, so mornings through early evening belong to the dogs. Yours won’t be left alone. We’re flexible about what your pup needs, whether that’s runs, long walks, or quick potty breaks, and we’re available every holiday. Pet care is my schedule. Working from home lets me have all the flexibility of taking care of your pups all through out the day and night. we maintain a clean and safe home at all times, the last thing we want is a pup getting hurt or into something they shouldn't. We have multiple water stations, a quiet room from naps or those over stimulated, healthy treats if approved by you. We make sure all leashes and harnesses are secure before heading out. We are prepared with k9 first aide kit and carpet cleaner incase of any accidents.
“Susan took great care of my pup, Gus! She makes sure to understand your pets needs ahead of time so she can deliver the best care. She’s very communicative and provided me with plenty of updates and photos. Highly recommended!”

“Robyn was great! She was dependable, reliable, and easy to work with. We did have a slight scheduling conflict on one occasion, but sometimes life can get in the way and that is understandable. Best wishes and many successes to you, Robyn!”
“Carolina was amazing with our 12 week old puppy AND communicating with us. Lots of updates and pics and our pup came back very happy. Also very flexible with our schedule which was awesome. Will definitely be asking her to watch our pup again!”

About: I’ve spent the past year caring for dogs and cats like my own. Lots of walks, cuddles, and playtime! I’m super patient and always take time to get to know each pet’s unique personality. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine as a full-time sitter. My flexible availability allows me to dedicate plenty of time to walks, feeding, playtime, companionship, and maintaining your pet’s normal schedule. I’m able to be attentive and give the quality care they deserve. Whether I’m caring for pets in your home or mine, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow their normal routine for feeding, walks, and playtime, and always give them the attention they need.
“Milo was nervous when I dropped him off but he quickly adjusted. Thank you Phyo for caring for him and taking him for walks. I would definitely recommend as I see you have a gentle way with pets.”

About: I have had pets since a child (duck, rabbit, dogs, cats, iguanas) and just love them. I let dogs take their time when exploring and I don’t rush them unless I see that they have found a Scooby snack. Most dogs prefer to sit in my lap even when in the presence of their owner. They love me and I love them even the sassiest of them. I work from home which allows me to be available 24 hours a day. If your pet is a foodie, they will love it here (salmon bites, duck necks, chicken feet, ice cream, pup cups and frozen fruit on hot days). I will send an update the first evening and the morning after so you are certain that they have settled in. Thereafter I will send a picture or video daily but you are welcomed to check in at any time. My assistant Imani (my mom who lives with and assists with sitting), also enjoys loving on and helping with your babies. She may help with check in/ check out and walks. **I now have a cat and cannot accept dogs that aren’t cat friendly. I also cannot accept unfixed dogs and dogs that aren’t housebroken. I walk 3-5 miles in the morning and another in the evenings (less depending on the weather). I would love to take your baby along. I have a friendly dog. I use baby gates and can also crate your dog (you must bring the crate with you). They would sleep in my bedroom on the dog beds and have free range of the house (except the kitchen which has a gate up).

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Milford Mill
Nina was very communicative and present. She had a calming presence which made us feel instantly comfortable while dropping our puppy off for day care. Her space was clean and welcoming. She sent several pictures & kept us informed about our pup. Whenever we are back in the area visiting family, we will definitely look to book with Nina.🤍

I would leave my fur baby with Dimitri any day. He is extremely attentive and you can tell he loves what he does. His dog, Stella, is the most adorable pup and they treated my baby well. Very communicative, organized, and great for a high energetic dog like mine!

Kierra was very communicative. She sent so many pictures and videos of our pup! Apollo looked as if enjoyed and was super comfy! Thank you so much Kierra for all the updates and for taking good care of him. Def would recommend and will be back in the future!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
