“My pup, Yumi, had a great time with Melanie and her pup. It was our first time doing a daycare service with Yumi but Melanie was very attentive and sweet to my Yumi. She was also very accommodating when my schedule had to change a bit as well and i greatly appreciate that. I felt comfortable and safe leaving Mr fur baby in her hands and would definitely book again in the future.”

“Cashadena loves Victoria and is always eager to see her! Great yard space for the pups and very helpful, non judgmental support during a really difficult time for us.”

“My 6lb maltipoo Sophie LOVED puppy day care with Kelly. I recently moved and was nervous about finding the right care for Sophie. I initially booked one day with Kelly and immediately after the first day, booked the rest of the week! The communication throughout the days was fantastic and Sophie was so excited to return each day. It was very clear that Kelly is attentive to Sophie the entire day…. Walks, snacks, rest, playtime. Totally recommend Kelly! I will be a regular.”

“Carolina was amazing with our 12 week old puppy AND communicating with us. Lots of updates and pics and our pup came back very happy. Also very flexible with our schedule which was awesome. Will definitely be asking her to watch our pup again!”

About: Welcome to my dog walking page! I’ve had animals in my life since I was five, and they’ve always brought me joy. From the age of 12, I’ve been caring for animals and have had the privilege of watching over many dogs, including senior pets and those battling illness. I’ve cared for dogs as old as 15 and worked with sweet dogs undergoing cancer treatment. I would also take them to their appointments. I truly love what I do! I live in a pet-friendly neighborhood with easy access to parks, trails, and dog parks, so your furry friend will enjoy plenty of outdoor fun. I offer pet sitting services both in your home and my own, though I mainly do house sitting to ensure your pet stays comfortable in familiar surroundings while you're away. I’m also happy to visit dog parks if that’s something your pup enjoys. I can’t wait to meet your fur baby and give them the care they deserve! I live in a neighborhood with pet lovers so I always stay busy and make sure that my neighbors are happy while they are busy. I have a park, trails and dog parks close by as well. I do pet sitting in your home or in my own. Majority of the time I’m house sitting and taking care of the animals in the owners home. I enjoy sitting at different locations as well because I’m very adventurous. I also go to the dog park if it’s acceptable. Throughout the week, I balance pet sitting with other responsibilities, ensuring I have enough time for each pet I care for. I’m used to managing multiple pets at once, so I stay organized and plan my days to include regular check-ins, walks, and personal attention for each furry friend. My neighborhood is perfect for pet care with its parks, trails, and dog parks, so I incorporate these into my routine to give pets the outdoor time they need. Whether I’m house-sitting or caring for animals in my home, I always ensure each pet gets the attention and exercise they need while sticking to a reliable schedule. I provide personalized pet care in both my home and yours. At my home, pets enjoy a cozy, pet-friendly environment with regular walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. In your home, I follow your pet’s routine, ensuring they feel comfortable and secure while you're away. I also handle any special needs, like administering medication or offering extra comfort. No matter where the care takes place, I make sure your pet feels loved and well-cared for!
About: I have taken care of my own dogs and cats my entire life and cannot remember a time I didn't love them all. My cat is no longer with me but I still have dogs and would love to care for your pets as I currently do my own. I can handle big dogs and little dogs as well as am willing to clean out your cats litterboxes. I'm happy to tussle with big dogs and take naps with lap dogs anytime! I'm a college student looking for work over the breaks and any pet time over the semester as I'll be away from my own. I'm happy to work around my class schedule to be with your pets as much as possible. I have a mostly fenced yard with the only opening being the driveway but intend to do walks and keep pets leashed just for safety. My own home has two dogs that are great with other dogs, both of them being on the smaller side and great with people as well. When I'm up at school there will be no other pets up there and the space will be fully for your pets. I'm also able to do house sitting, walks, and drop-ins for your pets to make sure your pets are getting love and attention when you're away.
“Shannon was so wonderful! Our puppy had such a wonderful time and we got a lot of pictures every day of our week’s worth of doggy day care. Our puppy came home exhausted and happy each day. Shannon was always so responsive, flexible and kind. Highly recommend and will definitely come back!”

About: I have animals myself and i have been working in pet care for 8 years. I love all animals, the fur babies and scaled babies! I would love to gain some regular fur friends! I will be available at all times. Give me a chance to make your dog's tail dance! I'll be willing to take care of the pet in your home, let me know where your pups favorite play spots are and where they should stay away from!
“My Whiskey loves going to Rodney's house. He comes home exhausted from all the running and playing he does with the other dogs. I highly recommend Rodney as a sitter.”

“This was my first time using Rover and I was a little nervous. Aaron defiantly dismissed that feeling! He took exceptional care of Rita, sent updates, and cute pictures of her! Aaron is defiantly my top sitter for future needs!!!”

Kassie was absolutely wonderful! She accommodated us on super short notice after a last-minute cancellation and took amazing care of our pup who was in heat. She followed all recommendations & requests we left, and sent frequent updates and photos throughout our time away, which gave us total peace of mind. Her home is perfectly set up for pets, featuring plenty of toys, dishes, and a great fenced-in backyard for exercise. Thank you, Kassie, for making sure Shyloh was so well loved and cared for. We appreciate you so much! 🙏🏽

I would leave my fur baby with Dimitri any day. He is extremely attentive and you can tell he loves what he does. His dog, Stella, is the most adorable pup and they treated my baby well. Very communicative, organized, and great for a high energetic dog like mine!

My pup, Yumi, had a great time with Melanie and her pup. It was our first time doing a daycare service with Yumi but Melanie was very attentive and sweet to my Yumi. She was also very accommodating when my schedule had to change a bit as well and i greatly appreciate that. I felt comfortable and safe leaving Mr fur baby in her hands and would definitely book again in the future.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
