“Keira was great with our old pup Toby while we were out of town. She was knowledgeable about care and Toby was in great hands. She gave updates and photos throughout the stay.”

About: I have taken care of pets since I was six years old, starting with a few fish. Then it developed into lizards, birds, hermit crabs and dogs. I love and care for all and make careful research to provide the best care. I’m home from college so my weekly routine is very flexible until the end of summer! Just in time for vacation! Personal preference is for afternoons but happy to work with anything. I keep alarms set at home for when to feed my pets so everyone knows when it’s breakfast and dinner time! Three times a day I will take my dog out for 30-minute to an hour long walk. As a 75lbs husky, my dog loved to pull on the leash but I was able to slowly train him out of that habit. Now he walks beside me and makes walking around the neighborhood a breeze!
“Cheryl was amazing. First time using Rover to assist with my adorable senior dog and she exceeded all my expectations. Hoping to be able to book her again soon.”
“Our animals were all so happy when we returned. After an unexpected vet visit the day before we left and additional meds and care, Shania didn’t miss a bit. She texted to confirm instructions and for guidance to be sure she got things right. We will definitely have her stay with our group again!”

“Samantha stayed in our home with our two girls. She updated me everyday and was a very respectful house guest! Everything was tidy and just where we had left it. The girls were happy and I doubt they missed us at all 😂. I would definitely recommend Sam!”

“Lisa was amazing with our dog Roscoe!! We appreciated that she kept us updated with pictures and messages, it was so nice to be able to take a weight off our shoulders and know she was doing such a stellar job! Roscoe loves her and her daughter, and we were thankful that Lisa also took the time to water our plants and herbs. We’ll definitely be a repeat client, I’d recommend Lisa without any hesitation!”
“Madison took the time to get to know our dogs are their quirks, and took excellent care of them and our house. Super responsive and knows how to work with “difficult personalities” and definitely won our dogs over. Will definitely rehire. Thanks Madison.”

“I had the pleasure of working with Robyn as my dog walker/dog sitter. From day one, it was clear that Robyn had a genuine love and passion for dogs. Her professionalism and reliability were outstanding. I always knew I could count on her to be on time and take great care of my furry friend. Not only did she ensure my dog got plenty of exercise and fresh air, but she also provided the companionship and attention that my babies need. She made sure to always send daily updates and pictures! What sets Robyn apart is her deep understanding of canine behavior. She knew just how to handle my dog’s personality and needs, making every walk a positive experience. She made sure to ask me about training and what she can do to follow our usual routine as closely as possible. My dogs absolutely adored Robyn and were always excited to see her. Safety was a top priority for Robyn as well. I appreciated the thoroughness in making sure my dog was secure during walks, especially when crossing streets or encountering other dogs. Her attention to detail gave me peace of mind. I can’t recommend Robyn highly enough. She provided exceptional care, trustworthiness, and genuine affection for my pet. If you want a dog walker who goes above and beyond, Robyn is the one to choose. My pups and I are truly grateful for her wonderful service and will be recommending her to family and friends.”

“Austin & Taylor house sat my two high-energy velcro Vizslas for 6 days/5 nights while I was in Mexico! I sincerely appreciated the excellent care they provided. They were attentive, communicative, and present with my pups, kept them on their routine, and sent pics and updates. They made it easy for me, being so far away, to be comfortable and relaxed knowing my fur babies were being well cared for. Not only did I come home to happy, separation anxiety free pups, but I came home to a house that was well taken care of! We hope to have them sit again!”
“Eli stayed with our dog over the course of this past week and was amazing! They made sure to take the best care of our girl while also leaving our house just the way we left it (we had an issue with a prior person). Eli made sure to keep us up to date, showered her with love, and was a great communicator. Highly recommend!!!”

“Haile was absolutely amazing from start to finish! I was a little nervous leaving my babies — a 4lb chorkie and a cat with someone new for 5 full days but she put my mind at ease completely. She was reliable, trustworthy, and professional in every way. I came home to a clean house exactly the way I left it which says everything about her character and respect for other people's space. Most importantly my animals loved her and that's the ultimate seal of approval. You can't fake that. 🐾 Haile will be my go-to pet sitter from here on out and I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone who wants their babies in good hands while they're away. If you're looking for someone you can trust completely - she's your person!”

“Sean is a wonderful pet sitter. Not only did he take such great care of our two dogs, he also looked after our geckos and fish without complaint. Sean left our house spotless! He is a great communicator and sent daily pictures and updates. It is evident that Sean truly cares for animals, and I won't hesitate to ask Sean to watch our pets again in the future!”

“Dorothy was great with my dogs, and sent me pictures each day I was away. They loved her! I was comfortable and had little worry about how they well they would be taken care of. She may have spoiled them more then me. Would recommend her and will be using her services again.”

“Lindsay was amazing with Loki and Val! She sent me daily updates and gave me the peace of mind that my babies were well taken care of. I will definitely use Lindsay again in the future!”

“Aryanna was wonderful. The dogs seemed to like her and were content to be with her. Especially the one dog who is very anxious about everything and everyone. Aryanna also took the initiative to take care of some of the chores such as taking the trash out. I really appreciated that. I would definitely rebook with her.”

About: I’ve always had a special bond with animals, and my family often trusts me to care for their dogs. I look forward to making you and your pets happy too. I have a wonderful Standard Poodle named Stormi Bless. Caring for pets is my part-time job while I’m also pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice. When I look after my family’s dogs, I make sure they get plenty of attention, affection, and playtime. I’m always mindful of their needs, whether it’s time for a walk, a meal, or just some extra care. This is currently my part time job as I am in college as well. I currently take up criminal justice, but I am sure to connect with your dog and show them support. Keira is so fantastic! My dog is still a little bit nervous because Keira is new, but she really takes it in stride and seems to magically make my dog more comfortable. Keira is so patient, kind, and gracious, highly recommended if your pup tends to be the nervous kind.

Bronte is so personable, kind, observant, and communicative! She even washed and dried the sheets she left for a one night stay. My baby is really happy today and I loved getting videos and pictures the whole time. You can tell when you meet her she has such a sweet heart and a good soul and it feels good to know my kitty cat who is my baby is in good hands. She even drove out for a meet and greet which means so much to me because I’m a little crazy as a pet parent. My house looks great and my baby taken care of and I would absolutely hire Bronte again, no questions asked!

Katie exceeded all of our expectations. She was attentive to every detail, followed our dog’s routine perfectly, and went above and beyond to ensure our pup was comfortable and happy. Her care, kindness, and frequent updates made us feel completely at ease. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate sitter and would definitely use her again!

Aaliyah was the absolute best! She was so patient with our rescue pitbull pup, letting him get acquainted with her and come to her when he was ready (the string cheese snacks helped too). We felt very comfortable leaving our pup in her care, and wouldn’t hesitate to book again!!

Our animals were all so happy when we returned. After an unexpected vet visit the day before we left and additional meds and care, Shania didn’t miss a bit. She texted to confirm instructions and for guidance to be sure she got things right. We will definitely have her stay with our group again!

We are so thankful we found Talayia to watch our two dogs and cat for overnight stays! She really came through for us at the last minute when we were in a tough spot of our last sitter cancelling. She communicated with us daily and sent us picture updates which put us at ease for the two weeks we were gone. She also kept our plants alive and our house was kept clean. Thank you so much for everything!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 6,082 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Windsor Mill. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Windsor Mill walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Windsor Mill maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Windsor Mill choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
