“Daniel took very good care of my senior dog. His pups are very friendly and good company for my old dog. Dog was happy when I picked him up. Daniel sent many pics during the stay. I would have him take care of my dog again.”

“Alex took great care of my Mini Aussie Tango these last several days, including timely communication and updates! His place with the large enclosed grass yard was perfect for Tango to get her energy out. She really enjoyed her time with Alex’s dog Reese and came home happy and exhausted!”

“Bentley was in such great care with Danielle! We had daily updates with pictures which eased our minds while we were away. You could just tell he was loved and cared for those days. We appreciate all you do. I highly recommend Danielle and will be booking with her in the future!!”

“My two dogs had the best stay. The pictures everyday was really helpful. I recommend for anyone that wants to leave their pets in a safe place and travel with confidence. Thanks for the great service. Will be back soon.”

“Maryfe was amazing! She was responsive, kind, and incredibly understanding, especially when my flight was canceled and I needed to extend Henry’s stay by an extra day. She treated Henry like family and gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such caring hands. I’m so grateful for her flexibility and the love she showed Henry.”

“Nina place is Ramsey's home away from home! He absolutely LOVES going to Ninas. It feels great leaving him with someone I can trust whenever I go out of town. Thanks Nina!!”

“Gina was terrific! She was super flexible with our scheduling and was very responsive. Great feedback/updates on our pup and the experience was a positive one. Will definitely look to use her again!”

“Kera is so fantastic. She took such excellent care of my dog Kernel. The perfect amount of communication and photos. She's such a wonderful sitter and I would highly recommend her.”

“Our 8 month old Husky, Penny, just spent 12 days at Ginny's while our family took a trip to Thailand. Ginny made us feel at ease that Penny was well taken care of through her regular communication. On a daily basis we received an account of Penny's fun filled day, along with pictures of her. We will definitely request to board Penny at Ginny's if we need a sitter. It is comforting knowing your animal family member is having a good time too, on their own vacation. One can tell that Ginny and her husband genuinely love animals. We were very pleased.”

“Lidia took amazing care of our two dogs! Her dog, Saint, is very sweet and playful, everyone had a great time. She was available for a meet and greet with short notice, and was flexible on drop-off and pick-up times. We received many great updates and photos throughout the week we were away. Her backyard has plenty of space for everyone to play, and they also went on frequent walks and hikes.”

About: After a nearly a lifetime of caring for my own and other’s pets, I have so much love & care to share in the Baltimore area! I am fully remote with a very flexible job that allows me to show up & be present for your pet, anytime, anywhere! I have plenty of time to care & play with your pet(s)! I work remote & my job is very flexible. I walk everyday by myself & would love to share this with your animal! (Or just give them snuggles & check in 😊). Priorities are - wake up, take care of animals. If I walk, they walk. Play time is priority & I provide engagement and enrichment with your pet! Again - I have so much love to share, and would love to give it to your pet in whatever way they need it!
“Another great stay for Cocoa! He loves going over here & Ms.Theresa is always so kind in updating and sending over pics. Will use her again and again and again!”

“Had to go out of town for the weekend and left my little dog with Felice and Tyler. They have a nice fenced yard and dog friendly house which is great. You can tell they love dogs and are very knowledgeable about them. My dog, Sophie, is not used to being around other dogs so I was worried she would not fit in, but it was unfounded. We had a meet and great a couple weeks beforehand so she met their dog and sniffed around the backyard. I got periodic updates and photos, which was reassuring. I will definitely take her there in the future.”

“Emily and Patrick were so great with my dog, Smiley! They were so flexible when plans went awry and the updates were so sweet. It was great seeing Smiley and Biscuit together throughout the stay and I knew my dog was safe and happy.”

“Fabiola was the perfect sitter for Chance! Located very close by and took us on such a short notice. Her and her partner gave him so much love and attention. We know our boy is very attached, but she sent photos daily to ease both Chance and us! Fabiola took him on daily walks in the city and the photos were so sweet. We look forward to utilizing her services again and I’m sure Chance does as well!”

“Shannon took wonderful care of our pup Bailey. We received daily updates and he had a blast. When our travel plans changed unexpected, Shannon was flexible and so helpful.”

“Ashley could not have been better. She was beyond patient with my crazy travel schedule and more important than that she was so good with Beretta I was able to focus on what I needed to do on my trip. 10/10 would have her watch Beretta again”

“Marissa is extremely caring and flexible and treats the dogs she watches like family! I consider her house to be a second home for my dog. Unlike a kennel I always know Marissa will be there to snuggle and play with the dogs and the dogs will get tons of time to play together.”

Couldn’t recommend her more! She was incredibly kind, loving, communicative, and truly treated my dogs like they were her own. I felt completely at ease knowing they were so well cared for, and they had the absolute best time playing with her two sweet pups. When I came to pick them up, I’m pretty sure they would have happily stayed forever—which is probably the best review they could give! So grateful to have found someone I can trust with them and would absolutely book with her again.

This was Eugene's first time staying with Aida and she took excellent care of him while I was on a trip. She was very interested in his care and asked questions which showed me that she was invested in being a good sitter to him for the duration of his stay. She was very responsive and easy to coordinate drop off and pick up times with - a huge plus when you're rushing around packing and preparing for a trip. She sent daily photos without me having to ask or remind her, which meant a lot to me because I always miss him when I'm away, as well as updates about his health and behavior (i.e. if he was itching more than usual). Though he can be a bit of a handful, Eugene seemed very comfortable with Aida, which is also a plus as he can be somewhat anxious. Overall, I was very happy with the care Aida provided Eugene and would definitely book again!

Sarah was great! She was extremely thorough prior to booking to ensure she had all the information she needed to take care of our dogs. Her attention to detail and quick communication helped everything go smoothly. We would highly recommend her and would certainly use her again!

Julia was wonderful with Nellie! She was communicative, attentive, and made me feel completely comfortable leaving Nellie in her care. Nellie seemed happy and well cared for when I picked her up, and it was clear she had a great stay. I really appreciated the updates and knowing Nellie was in good hands. I would definitely book with Julia again!

Cada did well at Nina's for two nights! She got along with the resident dogs and I got regular feedback from Nina about how she was doing. On top of that, it's super convenient that Nina lives nearby. Great communication put me at ease. We have plans to use Nina again for boarding and feel very comfortable doing so. Thanks!

Working with animals must come naturally for Ece. Her patience was absolutely wonderful with my elderly dog, I got daily updates with many pictures and she showed genuine care and concern for Luna (asked if I noticed particular bumps/marks, for instance). Thank you so much!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
