“Fatty had the absolute best time staying with her family. He was showered with affection, got tons of cuddles, and even got treated to pup cups. He loved them so much and we are so happy he has an open invitation to return anytime. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will love their dog like family!”

“Lidia is really great and very nice! My dog had a good time and was napping afterwards from being active with her and her dog all day. Thank you Lidia, I will definitely book with you again!”

“This was my first time using Rover for my grand pup, and I was nervous. But the moment I met Robin, her energy immediately put me at ease. She was incredibly responsive and even sent pictures and videos without me asking—she already knew what I needed! The best part? My grand pup ran right into her home like she had been there before. No hesitation at all. That’s when I knew I chose the right provider.”

“Daniel took very good care of my senior dog. His pups are very friendly and good company for my old dog. Dog was happy when I picked him up. Daniel sent many pics during the stay. I would have him take care of my dog again.”

“Highly recommend Karla! Dodger was right at home! We loved Karla’s updates and photos, showing him having fun on neighborhood walks, eating his meal, and snuggling. Karla asked so many helpful questions to make sure that Dodger and she had everything they needed.”

“Kyra is amazing, Bo was well taken care of and very happy when I picked him up. Kyra kept me up to date with pictures of Bo. I highly recommend Kyra and I will definitely be using her services again. Thanks Kyra.”

“Wonderful host. I had a last minute booking, Cecil was responsive and helpful. Also very flexible when I had to extend my trip. Great environment, my dog had a great time. They sent updates and were super accommodating. Thank you!”

“Lia was AMAZING. If I could give her 10 stars I would. She made my fur baby feel like he was at home. She communicated with me his entire stay she even sent videos. I definitely will be using Lia again and I recommend anyone with fur babies to book with her as well”

“Joann was so nurturing with our dog Maeve. We had a wonderful experience during her stay! Maeve had lots of playtime outside with her dog Obi. We could tell from the updates each day that Maeve was very content. Highly recommend booking with Joann! We will certainly be booking again and again!!”

“Reynaldo did a great job watching Cricket (whos generally a really nervous dog). He got him to go on walks and even eat a little, and the photos he sent were great. We would definitely have Rey watch Cricket again.”

“Hayley was lovely- great communication and very accommodating! She really made sure my pup was taken care of and had a relaxed weekend. Special shout out to Duncan who shared his home with my boy and went on walks with him!”

“Elizabeth took great care of my dog. She gave lots of updates and was a pleasure to work with. My dog loves her and seemed so happy while she boarded with her.”

“Alex took great care of my Mini Aussie Tango these last several days, including timely communication and updates! His place with the large enclosed grass yard was perfect for Tango to get her energy out. She really enjoyed her time with Alex’s dog Reese and came home happy and exhausted!”

“Liz and Jeff C provided outstanding and caring support and boarding for my senior Samoyed Sooki. There is not enough space here to describe everything they did to support Sooki and our family. Sooki has substantial and sometimes unpredictable health challenges. Liz, Jeff , and their sons provided EVERYTHING Sooki needed and more.”

About: I know how special our pets are in our lives. I will bring the same care, love and affection I have provided for my own fur babies to yours. Pet care fits into my schedule during the morning and afternoon hours around 4 pm. I am pretty flexible with my schedule so can adjust when needed. Much like children I have babysat in the past - keeping a safe environment is vital to everyone’s safety. With pets this is the same principle. Making sure everyone is safe and happy is my top priority.
“Geovanna was absolutely amazing with my fur babies while I was out of the country! She updated me every single day and sent the sweetest photos of my girls, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. My oldest, Cali, can be a bit feisty at times, but Geovanna handled everything so well and I am incredibly grateful. She was also extremely responsive, immediately answering any questions I had. To top it off, when my flight got delayed, she was so understanding and accommodating about extending the time. We all know things happen when traveling, and she made a stressful situation so much easier! I would definitely use Geovanna again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for safe, loving hands for their pets. 🤍🐶”

Extremely friendly and reliable. I felt completely comfortable leaving Reagan there. We had a bad experience where a different sitter took us off of the app and then ghosted us after we paid and 30 minutes before drop off so we are wary of the sitters now but Rich has always seemed completely professional and calm. Great person and Reagan was very happy on the way in and out :)

Carrie was an amazing person to find to watch my little pup! My puppy was only 11 weeks old when we needed someone to watch him for the day and night and Carrie was caring and informative with him. Picture and video updates let me know he was happy and cared for. Definitely recommend her!

I am so incredibly grateful for Viviana! I have a very skittish, nervous, occasionally reactive dog who has grown to love Viviana and looks forward to being at her home. I was genuinely surprised to see how quickly my dog warmed up to Viviana and how comfortable she felt with her. I can finally travel and feel assured that my dog is safe, calm, happy and comfortable. Viviana is a life saver. I highly recommend!
This was the first time we trusted someone other than family or friends to watch our two dogs. Courtney sent text and picture updates daily. The dogs looked happy and content and that eased any worries we had! We will definitely use Courtney again. Thank you for taking such great care of Diesel and Ace!

Katherin was kind and communicative throughout my dog, Enzo’s, stay with her. We were visiting from Florida and he stayed at her home for 3 days while we stayed with friends who couldn’t have a dog at their house. I would highly recommend Katherin as a pet sitter!

Dawn took great care of our little dog Harper. Harper missed us and spent a lot of time whining. Dawn was great about remedying the situation by taking him for walks and giving him attention. When forgot to include his bed and Dawn was nice enough to provide him an old towel to lay on inside his crate!! I would both recommend and rebook!!

Makenzie was so great with my dog Wren! She was very communicative and kind and sent lots of pictures. Wren definitely loved making new friends with her! She also took amazing care of a scrape on Wrens nose that she got just before I dropped her off for boarding which I am so appreciative of! She was also super kind about scheduling changes!

Vince was fantastic! He’s very knowledgeable about dogs and made sure they were happy, well cared for, and comfortable the entire time. I really appreciated his communication and updates throughout the stay. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
