“Brandon is our favorite sitter for Molly! We were gone for 10 days and despite missing her, we knew she was in the best hands. She sprinted to him at drop off and didn’t look back at us! Brandon sends daily pictures of Molly and his dog playing and walking. We really appreciate him”

“Katie kept my 7 month old puppy Gracie at her home for two days and was an amazing dog sitter. Katie was in constant contact with adorable photos of Gracie playing outside in her huge fenced in yard with her sweet dog Willow and inside her home resting on the couch with her children. Gracie came home very happy, tired from all of the activity and clean after a bath from Katie! I highly recommend Katie to watch your fur baby!”

“Thank you so much! Geovanna was wonderful! Very communicative and friendly throughout the whole stay, and they made Sunny feel comfortable and cared for. I felt at ease knowing my pup was in such good hands. Highly recommend!”

“Dana’s house was a perfect spot for our dog! She has a great fenced in yard and sent multiple photo updates reassuring us that our doggo was having a great time. Her location was a perfect stop on our way to the beach. Would definitely recommend!!!”

About: I have taken care of my own dogs and cats my entire life and cannot remember a time I didn't love them all. My cat is no longer with me but I still have dogs and would love to care for your pets as I currently do my own. I can handle big dogs and little dogs as well as am willing to clean out your cats litterboxes. I'm happy to tussle with big dogs and take naps with lap dogs anytime! I'm a college student looking for work over the breaks and any pet time over the semester as I'll be away from my own. I'm happy to work around my class schedule to be with your pets as much as possible. I have a mostly fenced yard with the only opening being the driveway but intend to do walks and keep pets leashed just for safety. My own home has two dogs that are great with other dogs, both of them being on the smaller side and great with people as well. When I'm up at school there will be no other pets up there and the space will be fully for your pets. I'm also able to do house sitting, walks, and drop-ins for your pets to make sure your pets are getting love and attention when you're away.
“Erin was totally a pleasure and kind person to work with. From scheduling a meet and greet with our Maxx a few weeks before to sending updates with pictures. We never once had to worry about my our baby Maxx while chilling on the beaches in Cancun, Mexico.”

“Jasmine was great she took amazing care of our puppy Bella! Would definitely recommend her. She sent photos and kept us up to date on how Bella was doing constantly. Bella usually shy but she warmed right up to Jasmine when we dropped her off.”

“My German Shepherd pup Louie is always so well cared for and happy. I feel great knowing he gets to have fun with other dogs and gets plenty of outside time. Ginnie and Steven are the best!”

“I cannot say enough great things about Liz & Jeff. They treated my pup like one of their own his entire stay. They sent me so many pictures and video updates which was so reassuring since I had to go out of town super last minute. I was 30 minutes late picking my pup up due to traffic and they were so accommodating and understanding. 10/10 recommend them! I will definitely be using them again :) thanks again Liz & Jeff!”

“Gina was terrific! She was super flexible with our scheduling and was very responsive. Great feedback/updates on our pup and the experience was a positive one. Will definitely look to use her again!”

“Veronica was so amazing with our puppy Oskar! She was very communicative and sent lots of cute pics. Oskar seems worn out after a week of fun! We can’t wait to use her again.”
“Winston stayed with Meredith and Kevyn for 9 days. We received updates and pictures of Winston regularly. They were very flexible with drop and pick up times. It also gave us some piece of mind that they have experience with dogs and that Winston had other dogs he could play with while we were away. We would definitely use their dog boarding services in future and recommend them to others.”

“We truly value the care and love Linda provides our buddy Biscuit. We know he loves his walks in the woods with her! Great communication throughout his stays, too.”

“Michelle took my baby in last minute bc of a family emergency, and I immediately new she would give her the best of care. She sent pics as she became more comfortable (she gets separation anxiety from me), which made me feel at ease. We will def be a repeat client! Thanks Michelle!”

“Brew seemed to have a great weekend with Alessandra and her pup! I’m so appreciative of her taking him out for adventures, as well as accepting our last minute request! She’s very communicative and keeps you updated with photos.”

“Peggy was very understanding and loving with Daisy. Daisy is a senior who at times requires a lot of attention. When I picked Daisy up she looked content. Usually when I board her it takes me a couple of days to settle her down. This was not the case with Peggy!”

“Our dog sitting experience with Shuling was wonderful. Lucky, our 4-year old mini goldendoodle, and his 2-year old beagle cousin looked like they were having a great time running around outside then relaxing inside. Shuling sent us lots of pictures. We would definitely contact her again if we need dog sitting coverage the next time we are in Annapolis.”

Nije took great care of my dog and was flexible in accommodating a last minute booking. She was responsive and communicated with me about my dog, especially since he was having an allergy flare up while he stayed with her. I recommend this sitter and would consider her for future pet sitting needs!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
