“Molly was great with Woodford! He can be pretty nervous with new people and seemed to warm up quickly with Molly. He needs daily medication and Molly was happy to assist and was not phased by his sometimes stubborn habits :) she sent us daily updates and picture, will definitely use her dog care services again!!”

“Amazing! So accommodating and kind as I kept changing the drop off and pick up times due to driving from New York. Got great pictures and my pup was so happy when I picked her up! 10/10 would recommend again!”

“Elizabeth was awesome. She sent numerous pictures of our dog during the long vacation. Our dog was clearly comfortable and relaxed when we picked him up. We will hopefully use Elizabeth next month!!!”

“These hosts totally saved me by being so kind, understanding, and flexible with a recent terrible back to back travel schedule. Not only did they help me book the proper days for Thor when I totally screwed it up, but Thor also really enjoyed his stay and came back to me a pooped and happy pup, which usually means he played the day away! These hosts are amazing and I've already rebooked!!”

“Becca was so easy to communicate with and treated my Charleigh girl like her own. I was so nervous leaving her with someone for the first time I didn’t know, but Becca was great at helping me through that from our first meet and greet to all the text and pics of Charleigh being cared for and loved on by her and her son Kash while staying with them. I would definitely have Charleigh stay with her again.”

“Mimi had a blast. Michelle was wonderful. She sent daily updates and pictures of Mimi everyday. Mimi loved playing with her new dog friends. She was so happy and we are so excited we found Michelle. I know Mimi was well taken care of. Thank you so much”

“100000000000/10 recommend Veronica!! She treated our little Toaster like her own child! She had a beautiful home that was fully decked out to be a 5 star resort for puppies! She was so knowledgeable about dogs (you would think she was a Vet!) and made us feel so comfortable that our baby would be in the wat of hands!! She even sent us update photos so regularly that we felt like we were there with our baby!! Toaster made so many friends with all the sweet little angels she had and hardly wanted to come home after his stay because he had so much fun!! If you want your baby to stay with someone that will love them and give them as much (and probably even more) attention than you do, then look no further!! Veronica is hands down the best sitter in Baltimore and we cannot thank her enough!!!”

“Karla took incredible care of Wow. She sent daily updates describing their activities and included tons of action shots. I felt like she loved my pet as her own! Couldn’t have asked for more.”

“Daniel was awesome. The dogs were well cared for. Daniel sent pics every day and kept us updated on how the pups were doing. Thank you, Daniel! We will definitely be using you again!”

“Elizabeth took great care of my dog. She gave lots of updates and was a pleasure to work with. My dog loves her and seemed so happy while she boarded with her.”

“Lexie was awesome with our neurotic chihuahua (who hates strangers!) and super hyper yorkie. The first day she had our doggies snuggling with her! Lexie is all kinds of magical, easy to communicate with and sent lots of pictures and updates to ease our minds! Highly recommend!!”

“Shruti did an awesome job taking care of our dog Nala while away on our honeymoon. She updated us and let us know how Nala was doing every day. Since we head back home pretty late, she did us the favor of dropping off Nala right at home before we arrived. It made such a big difference in our travel experience. I really appreciated her adaptability and flexibility. Will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, currently I only have one dog for the first time. I will treat your dog like a part of the family. Please let me know if there’s any special treatment that needs done. I do have a toddler home with me as well so I request that the dog is child friendly! I work from home so your dog will get potty breaks whenever they need it. I have a fully fenced in yard for your pup to run around and play. Your dog will be allowed on couches/beds, wherever they are comfortable. I have dog beds and have baby gates set up so they can have areas of peace if they need. I do have a toddler at home who loves dogs but will maintain space if needed. I also have a husky mix who generally just minds her own business.

“Excellent sitter for my dog who tends to be anxious in a new environment. My dog had a stomach issue and Linda took care of him as if he was her own. . My dog didn’t want to leave! Linda provided 5 STAR service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Edgemere
Dawn took great care of our little dog Harper. Harper missed us and spent a lot of time whining. Dawn was great about remedying the situation by taking him for walks and giving him attention. When forgot to include his bed and Dawn was nice enough to provide him an old towel to lay on inside his crate!! I would both recommend and rebook!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
