“Our dog loved staying with Rich, took to him immediately and showed no anxiety of being left. He is a Covid dog and very attached us. Rich sent photos. His fenced yard is great for our dog, we will be return customers.”

“This was the third time Claire watched Milo and she did a great job taking care of him as always. Unfortunately, Milo was sick while staying there, but Claire was a great caregiver and was very communicative throughout. We would definitely leave Milo with Claire again.”

“Ozzy had so much fun with Jill and made a new puppy friend at the dog park. Jill was wonderful and was so responsive when I was checking in. She sent me some photos of Ozzy so I could see how much fun he was having - and how tired he got after playing all day! Thanks Jill!!! We appreciate you taking such good care of our fur baby. ❤️”
“Kimberly and her family were fantastic. My dog seemed super happy during her stay. I received a photo and note every night. I will definitely be booking with them in the future.”

“Bentley was in such great care with Danielle! We had daily updates with pictures which eased our minds while we were away. You could just tell he was loved and cared for those days. We appreciate all you do. I highly recommend Danielle and will be booking with her in the future!!”

“We loved having Gina watch our dog, Camden. She sent lots of pictures and videos which made us feel so comfortable. He’s been sleeping ever since we picked him up so I know he had a great time! Would definitely rebook with her and highly recommend.”

“My boy Saint lovesss Yukia. After a 9 day stay he didn’t want to come home. I know under her care he is safe, active and loved. She speaks his love language — Amazon box lol. Yukia is officially Saint’s auntie. There’s no one like her.”

“Katie is amazing. Monty loved going to play and we know he is being taken care of so well. Katie provides us with frequent updates and pictures. We are so grateful to have found her.”

“i had a really good vibe from erin when we talked on phone; I was right she was wonderful, she communicated w/me during the week sending me videos of Betty playin etc She seemed so knowledgeable about cats and training them; she was very reassuring a couple times when i got sad for leaving her. When betty got home i axpected that she may act out by going places not allowed etc. but betty was fine no bad behaviors it was like she nevr left!!! I do believe that is called success and erin reported that there were no issues and that she would sit again if & when needed.”

“Steph took great care of Jill and kept us in the loop on the great time she was having with her two dogs. Jill was very happy and very tuckered out from a great couple days of playing when we picked her up.”

“This was my first time using Roover and I can say Jessica surpassed my expectations for a sitter. I was hesitant to leave our puppy with just anyone, but after meeting Jessica I knew he was in good hands. I look forward to using her in the future.”
“Meagan, Chris, and pups, Butter, and Lucy took great care of Ozzie. Ozzie does not always warm up to strangers immediately but felt at home with them burrowing under their blankets and sleeping in their pup beds. They provided daily report of Ozzie antics and photos keeping me posted. Meagan really loved Ozzie and animals in general, and adjust to them easily. It was evident Ozzie enjoyed his staycation. We will definitely board Ozzie at their place in the future.”

“Rosie had a great time with Sabrina & Ryan. They have a great backyard for her to run all day and let out all of her energy. They gave us updates and picture every day which we very much appreciated. I highly recommended and will definitely use their services in the future. Thank you!”

“Apologies for taking so long! I must say that my Hendrixx adored her stay with Esterline! I felt so at ease while on vacay that my baby was in good hands. She sent pictures & updates throughout her stay & loved that!❤️”

“Lisa was excellent. From the moment I dropped Diamond off, I sensed great vibes and knew my dog was in good hands. She frequently sent videos and pictures and stuck to Diamond’ schedule. I would definitely recommend her for boarding. Thanks Lisa!!! 🤩🤩🤩”

“Marliez was great with my Bentlee. She sent plenty of pics and videos. I’m always worried about him being around other dogs because he’s so young but she handled him so well. Def would recommend.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Edgemere
Super sweet and caring for my dog. I appreciate how she made my dog feel welcomed and loved. Treats, cuddles, lots of play time. And I am grateful for the flexibility that she had as I had to extend the stay. My dog didn’t want to leave when it was time to go. Highly recommend and would definitely book with her again.

Dawn took great care of our little dog Harper. Harper missed us and spent a lot of time whining. Dawn was great about remedying the situation by taking him for walks and giving him attention. When forgot to include his bed and Dawn was nice enough to provide him an old towel to lay on inside his crate!! I would both recommend and rebook!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
