Pet care experience

Loving care you can count on 🐾

I’ve had dogs my entire life (35+ years) and have experience with a wide range of breeds, ages, personalities, and needs. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, seniors, high-energy dogs, and pets who require extra patience, attention, or medical care. I have hands-on experience administering medications, including insulin for diabetic dogs, and caring for dogs with seizures and other health concerns. I understand the importance of maintaining routines and closely monitoring a pet’s health and behavior. While I’m not a professional trainer, I’ve completed training classes with my own dogs and have continued that experience by working with my mom’s dog as well. I’m comfortable reinforcing basic training, structure, and positive behaviors.

We hit the jackpot with Carrie! My dog adored her, and it showed every time she came by. I loved getting pictures and notes after each walk, it made my day. It’s such a relief to know your pet is not just being walked, but truly cared for. Highly, highly recommend!

Carrie did a great job watching my fur baby (dog). He was not just cared for but loved! She sent me photos periodically of him and how he was doing which set my mind and heart at ease. She has a fenced in backyard which gave my dog free roam outside in safety. Carrie is a wonderful person to trust your fur baby with. She will take great care of them!

Carrie watches our dog every time we go out of town. She watches him for short weekends or long family vacations. She even watched him when he was a puppy and had him 90% potty trained when we got back! I’m pretty sure our dog likes “Aunt Carrie” more than us. He gets so excited when he sees her. Carrie will continue to be our go-to dog sitter!

Schedule

I’m a stay-at-home homeschooling mom with two children (ages 4 and 9) who love dogs. Because I’m home most of the day, I’m able to provide consistent supervision, attention, and care. I also offer care in your home when preferred.

Safety, trust & environment

Safety, routine, and comfort are very important to me. I closely supervise pets, follow instructions carefully, provide regular updates, and work to make every pet feel secure and relaxed while in my care. I can care for multiple dogs who are familiar and friendly with one another. If needed, I can also accommodate dogs separately to help ensure a calm, stress-free environment for everyone.

A typical day

During walks and check-ins, I focus on keeping your pet safe, happy, and on their normal routine. Walks include exercise, sniff time, and positive reinforcement, while check-ins cover potty breaks, feeding, play, and plenty of attention. I always follow your instructions closely and adjust to your pet’s energy level—whether they prefer an active walk or a calm visit.

To provide the best care possible, please share your pet’s routine, energy level, temperament, triggers, medical needs, medications, allergies, mobility concerns, and any training commands they know. I’d also like to know how they do on walks (leash manners, pulling, reactivity) and their comfort level with strangers, children, and other animals. I welcome a variety of personalities and temperaments, as long as expectations, behaviors, and any special needs are clearly communicated in advance.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
