“Kal has been a dream come true—I cannot praise her highly enough. My cats are very shy and can be anxious when I’m not around. Kal went above and beyond to meet them at their comfort level and help them feel secure. For the first time in their five years of life, they actually came out to interact with a sitter. That’s the kind of energy Kal has. From booking through sitting, she has been extremely thorough, detail oriented, and easy to communicate with. I feel so much better knowing that my boys have her to hang out with while I’m away. Your pets new favorite spare human indeed! Thank you so much Kal ❤️🐾”

“I cannot possibly say enough good things about Erica! While Erica has watched our pets in the past, this was her first time with our newest fur babies. She was incredibly patient with our pups and their "behavior struggles". Incredible communication. She is simply the best!”

About: I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I provide feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and lots of attention and affection. I understand the importance of following each pet's routine and ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. My availability is based on my current bookings and work schedule. I do my best to keep my calendar up to date and will respond promptly to booking requests. When caring for pets in their own home, I follow their normal routine to help them feel safe and comfortable. I provide fresh food and water, walks, potty breaks, playtime, exercise, and plenty of love and attention. I also administer medication if instructions are provided, keep the home tidy, clean up after pets, and send regular updates and photos so owners have peace of mind while they're away. My goal is to ensure your pet feels happy, relaxed, and well cared for in the comfort of their own home.
“This is my first time using a pet sitter for my 19year old cat, Sydney. I was apprehensive how he would do. Well, Tricia was fabulous caring for Sydney! For 4 days, she visited twice a day, feed and cleaned litter box. I received a text after each visit to let me know the status and updates. Even sent photos and videos. We had a meet and greet a few days prior to starting. I knew then Sydney was in good hands. I highly recommend Tricia. Your pet will receive excellent care!”

“Paige did a great job taking care of our cat, Dommy! Thanks to Paige, we had the peace of mind to enjoy our vacation. We will definitely reach out again the next time we need a sitter!”

I will adhere to any needs your pet has in your home and ensure they are not stuck in a crate all day.

“Caitlin was absolutely amazing! She was very kind and gentle with our anxious cat and made sure our cat was very well taken of. Caitlin sent daily updates with pictures and even helped bring in packages from outside. She was very thorough, considerate, and you can tell she loves all animals. I had absolutely no worries about my cat (who needs daily meds) while away, and will most certainly be using Caitlin’s services again and again when needed!!! I HIGHLY recommend!”

About: I have grown up with two dogs throughout my entire life, with the second being my own dog I rescued a little over a year and half ago! I provide fully for him. He had to be house trained and potty trained by me and is the sweetest pupper I know, just a little shy sometimes (biased of course)! I’m currently working part time so my availability is almost completely open and my schedule allows for me to take same day or last minute requests! I have always lived in apartments, so when I take my dog on walks we walk around my neighbor or we go to the dog park usually 2-4 times a week. I have crate trained my dog his whole life. He goes into his crate anytime I am out of the house so I have no problem with having to crate a dog. I am able to play with, walk, or entertain a clients dog in any way that is most comfortable for what they usually do with their own doggy!
About: I've been taking care of Dogs, Cats, Birds and Babies for neighbors and friends for as long as I can remember. I will love your baby's as if they were mine. ~Jill I have recently decided to do this full time so I have plenty of time to take care of animals on a full time basis. I have a fenced yard I also can provide a crate to keep your dog or cat in if that makes you more comfortable or I will be glad to come and stay at your house

“There aren't enough good things to say about Ziair. She takes great care of our Bernese. She's always accommodating even through last minute changes. She is kind and pays attention to detail. We are so glad we found her.”

About: I’ve had animals of all kinds ever since I was little and I currently have a guinea pig. I have been fostering basset hounds over the summer for the past 5 years including puppies and older dogs. I have pet sat for the past 2 years. I’m currently working from 7:15-2:30 on weekdays. I am available from 6:00 am-7:00 am and 3:00 pm -9:00 pm for either drop in visits and dog walking. I follow each pet’s normal routine during drop-in visits, including feeding, fresh water, potty breaks or litter care, playtime, and affection. I prioritize safety, monitor for any changes in behavior or health, and always send updates with photos after each visit.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Dundalk
Caitlin was fantastic with our two fur babies. One of them required multiple medications which she gave without any issues. She was very kind and caring, spent lots of time with them and gave us very thorough updates. It was wonderful knowing that while we were gone traveling our kitties were in wonderful hands. Do not hesitate to book with her!!

Sierra is wonderful! She asked a lot of thorough questions ahead of our trip and was flexible with her timing. Sierra was very attentive and spent a lot of time playing with our cats, who were thrilled with her company based on the numerous photos she sent throughout. Highly recommend!!!

Wonderful Care for My Senior Cats! Carlos did a truly wonderful job taking care of my two geriatric kitties, Frank and Ocea. He was attentive, patient, and genuinely seemed to care about them. He spent quality time with them each day, brushing them and giving them the affection they needed. Carlos is also an excellent communicator — he sent me lovely photo updates and even a video of him interacting with Frank, which was so comforting to see while I was away. On the last day, Ocea (who is usually very shy and stays in her tree) felt comfortable enough to come down, and Carlos was just as happy about it as I was! I’m so grateful for the thoughtful, reliable care he provided. I highly recommend Carlos to anyone looking for a sitter who will treat their pets with real kindness and attention.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
