“Hannah was great. We booked her for a weekend to watch our cats, one of which has special needs. She took great care of them and made sure he got his medicine. Will definitely book her again.”

“Megan was an amazing caretaker of my cat. She was very attentive to detail and her visits provided the comfort my senior cat was longing for while I was away for six nights. I’m looking forward to provide her services whenever I’ll be out of town.”

“Rebecca is an amazing cat sitter! She is so kind, attentive, and incredibly responsive. When my cat's automatic feeder stopped working, she handled it right away—making sure my cat got fed and fixing the machine herself. Knowing my cat was in such caring and capable hands made my trip stress-free. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for top-notch care!”
“Katie was so awesome taking care of Cooper and Sophie! She took our request on the day before we had to leave and she was so easy to work with. She put a normally anxious dog dad at peace immediately with how she was able to easily befriend both of our dogs and was instantly chilling with both of them. She was right on time, the pics of the dogs were comforting, and the dogs both looked happy and at peace. I recommend her for anyone that’s looking to have their dogs watched and will definitely reach out to her in the future.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have always loved caring for them. I grew up with two dogs: a 12 year old Golden Doodle and a 4 year old Cavapoo, so I’m very familiar with both senior dogs and younger, energetic pups. While they are my family dogs and not currently living with me, I’ve been involved in their care my entire life, handling walks and daily responsibilities, especially when my parents were at work and I took on most of their care. I’m comfortable with walks, feedings, playtime, and making sure dogs feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I treat every dog like my own and enjoy getting to know their personalities! I work in the office Monday through Wednesday from 9:00–4:30, so my availability is a bit more limited during those days. However, I’m available during evenings on those days for walks or drop-ins. I work from home on Thursdays and Fridays, which allows me to be much more flexible throughout the day for pet care. Weekends can vary for me—I tend to be busy Friday evenings and Saturdays, but Sundays are generally open and a good day for me to provide care. I follow the owner’s instructions closely to ensure pets are comfortable and following their normal routine. During walks, I focus on safe leash handling and choosing routes based on each dog’s needs. For drop-in visits, I provide feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, and lots of play time of course. I always respect clients’ homes and my goal is to keep pets happy, cared for, and at ease while their owners are away.
About: With over ten years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes and breeds, I have developed a deep understanding of their unique needs and personalities. From playful puppies to senior cats, I provide attentive, compassionate care to ensure every pet feels comfortable, safe, and well-loved. My commitment is to treat each animal with the same respect and dedication I would give my own. I’m currently working part tome while also attending school but can provide frequent check ins for your pets while also provide house sitting on weekends if needed. I provide dependable in-home pet care, ensuring your pet feels safe and comfortable in their own familiar environment. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, administering medications, or simply offering companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pet is well cared for while you’re away.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I am very patient with senior dogs and puppies and I love to see them happy. Overnight stays are easier since I have my own pets and I can monitor and walk them all together and keep them in a routine. My dog sleeps in his bed, he is an older dog so sleeps a lot and my cats sleep in their tree or couch. I live in a townhome with plenty of room for the babies to play and/or keep company
“Lidia was absolutely amazing with my dog Tango! Super sweet, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure he was well taken care of. She made sure he got all his potty breaks and was very flexible and accommodating when I had to add an extra drop-in. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. Will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Grace was always on time to the visits. She went far and beyond and did everything I requested. I'm grateful I had her to take care of padme. Definitely will pick her again for a future. Thank you Grace!”

“Sylvia was wonderful!! Provided great information and photos. The cats loved her, they don't usually come out for sitters but they adored her and it was clear she made an effort to cultivate a relationship with them. I definitely plan to book with her again.”

“Tabitha took great care of my needy and noisy older cat with separation anxiety. It’s great to know I can leave her in experienced hands. Would love to book again if she’ll have us!”

“Elias was on time for each visit and took great care of our senior golden retriever. Unfortunately, our golden had a few accidents and threw up on his doggy bed but Elias cleaned every mess without complaint and kept us informed. Overall, we are very pleased with how our fur baby was cared for. Would book again!!”

“Heather came through for us after we had a late cancellation for a cat-sitting. I reached out to several Rover sitters and she was the very first to respond. It meant the world to go on our family trip assured that our boy was in good hands. Heather sent photo updates and promptly messaged back: would absolutely recommend her!”

“Lexie was wonderful with our cat Margot! She was great with all of the regular cat care like feeding and scooping the litter box, and we really appreciated that she gave her all the attention and love we weren’t able to give her while we were out of town. I’m always nervous to leave our cat in the care of someone new, but Lexie calmed all my fears! She sent plenty of updates and photos. I would definitely trust her with Margot’s care again.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter than Jaclyn! She took amazing care of our dogs, Hallie and Gunner, during her drop-in visits. Jaclyn was always punctual and kept in great contact with us, providing thoughtful updates that gave us real peace of mind. It’s clear she truly loves animals and treats them with the same care and attention as if they were her own. Hallie and Gunner were so happy and relaxed thanks to her. We’re incredibly grateful and would highly recommend Jaclyn to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate caregiver!”

“Joselyn was an amazing drop in sitter while we were away for the weekend. She provided photos and message updates at each visit. We felt assured our GSD and cat were being well cared for.”

“10/10, I would absolutely book with her again! She made the entire experience seamless from start to finish. Communication was excellent, everything went smoothly, and I felt completely at ease knowing my pets were in great hands. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely recommend her to others.”

“Michelle took great care of my cats while I was away. She spent a full hour with them every day, and sometimes even longer, making sure they had fresh food, plenty of water, clean litter, and engagement. I especially appreciated how consistent and dependable she was with the daily care routine. One of my cats can be a little particular and attached to his usual way of playing, but Michelle made sure he was safe, cared for, and checked on. She also seemed to really bond with Emi, which meant a lot to me. It gave me peace of mind knowing they had someone patient and attentive coming by each day. I’d happily recommend Michelle to anyone looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter.”

“Courtney was great with our 9 year old German Shepherd. Very responsible, professional and timely with drop-ins. Loved the notifications and pictures. Highly recommend and will derfinetly use Courtney as our dog sitter again!”

Stephanie is a responsible, sweet, and caring person. She arrived on time and patiently walked us through the issues with our alarm until they were resolved. She ensured the safety and happiness of our babies and kept us well-informed throughout the process. Thank you so much, Stephanie.

Hannah was ACTUALLY the best!! We went on a week long trip and booked last min but Hannah was extremely flexible. I got SO excited every evening to see our cat photos because Hannah always took the best photos of them playing and being silly little beans. She always took like 10 photos and sent us lovely messages on how the cats were doing and made sure to play with them.

Finding someone you trust to care for your pets is never easy, but Quintunya has been everything I could have hoped for in a pet sitter. She has been caring for my two cats, Pudd and Puma, for the past year. From the very beginning, Quintunya has treated my fur babies with so much love, patience, and kindness. It's obvious that she genuinely cares about them. Knowing that Pudd and Puma are safe, loved, and receiving so much attention while I'm away gives me incredible peace of mind. If you're looking for someone who will care for your pets as if they were her own, I wholeheartedly recommend Quintunya. She is truly one of a kind, and Pudd, Puma, and I are so lucky to have her in our lives.

Daniel was able to help us out last minute with watching our dog over the weekend. We have a very timid dog who can be difficult to walk if he’s scared and Daniel was able to do a meet and greet and was able to gently connect with him and handle him over the weekend without any problems. He asked a lot of specific questions during the meet and greet in order to best care for our pup and sent a lot of updates throughout his visits.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
