About: I adopted my first dog when I was 12, and the rest, as they say, is history! I have experience pet sitting for neighbors and friends, from puppies to senior dogs, including animals with medication needs. When I haven't had dogs of my own, I've been involved with fostering to get both cats and dogs ready for their forever home. I'm a hybrid worker with a flexible work schedule, so I'm available throughout the day, for whatever your pet(s) need, whether that's a midmorning walk, an afternoon play session, or meals at specific times of the day! I have a small fenced in patio, and I'm open to working with you to make sure your pet is happy, healthy, and safe. I have experience with obedience training, crate training, and animals with special requirements, and I will do whatever is necessary to meet your pet's individual needs.

About: 10 years fostering dogs with a local shelter—puppies, medical cases, reactive dogs, seniors, and the shy ones who need extra patience. My favorites are large dogs and blockheads (staffies, rotties, pit mixes), though a small dog sneaks in now and then (frenchies, Havanese, corgi, etc). I'm new to Rover but not to petsitting. I've cared for dogs from families who adopted my fosters for years, and I've been active on Wag! At my house, dogs get on the furniture, play hard, and get spoiled. Belly rubs, butt scratches, and ear massages come standard. My goal is to send your dog home happy, loved and tired. I'm self-employed and work from home when dogs stay with me. (My clients are used to dogs making an appearance during Zoom calls.) I'm a runner so long walks with dogs is just part of the fitness routine. I match my schedule to your dog's feeding and bathroom schedule. Every dog that comes here is treated with patience and care. Some arrive nervous, anxious, or unsure—maybe a potty accident in a new space, maybe hesitant to settle. My job is to help them feel safe, give them time to decompress, and meet them where they are. When they're ready, I'm here for play and snuggles. I have a fenced yard and my property backs up to a park. Dogs get regular walks, plus potty breaks. If a dog needs shorter, lower-key outings, we do on-leash trips to the park right behind the house. If your dog is reactive, we do backyard potty breaks and walk off-peak hours on a specific path to minimize potential sightings of other dogs.

About: I’ve grown up with pets my entire life and they soon become part of the family, that is my number one priority when pet-sitting! I’m a recent Baltimore/Fells Point transplant and I now have the ability and space to pet-sit comfortably. I work mostly from home so I am capable of watching over your loved pets for longer periods of time as well. The majority of the week I work remotely from home and therefore am able to focus on daily and weekday pet care routines. I am also a dog owner to a 6 year old Golden Retriever and I make sure he receives proper walks and breaks in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings and would commit to that level of care an more for your loved pets. I currently live in a rowhome with a decently sized and fenced back yard for your pet to run and play in, bonus points if your pet enjoys the company of my own golden retriever and loves to play fetch! I have ample living space and multiple dog beds for relaxation as well as a designated room in case a pet needs to be crated or boarded in.

Sausage is a very elderly dog with mobility and anxiety issues and Karla was able to care for and watch over him with patience and persistence, trying multiple ways to calm and soothe him until he was eventually able to settle down. I don’t trust my little pup with just anyone, and Karla never once gave me reason to worry. Clear communication from the get-go with multiple updates throughout the stay. I can’t say enough good things about Karla. We will definitely be asking her to watch Sausage again in the future!”

About: I have always taken care of pets since I was 8 years old along with growing up with animals in my household. I taught my former roommate cat to sit for treats and in the next year I am looking to get my license for animal training. I have always loved taking care of animals and am excited to help take care of yours. Adding your animal to my family and always treating your pet like my own with the same love and respect as my own. I am very flexible with others schedules and how late or early feedings are or walks. I take animals very seriously in addition with giving them the same love you'd give them at home during your daily reutine.

About: I have not only grown up with dogs my entire life, but I’ve spent the last 1.5 years raising my mini dachsund puppy Lilo since she was 8 weeks old. I grew up with Labrador Retreivers so I love dogs of all sizes. I’ve dealt with sickness and potty training and barking and everything in between. I also use Rover myself and understand the trust you are placing in a stranger to care for your pet (your baby!) and I take that very seriously. I will treat your dog the same way I’d want a sitter to treat my own. I work from home and have flexible work hours, and I enjoy taking Lilo on 4 walks per day (pre-9am, 1pm, 5pm, and 9pm). In between, I have a fenced in backyard for bathroom breaks. I am comfortable with all types of dogs and so is my dog Lilo! She is very playful and enjoys cuddling and roughhousing with other dogs. No need to worry - she is only 10lbs but enjoys dogs of all sizes. I try to make 2 of the 4 walks about one hour, and the other two 20 minutes. In addition, I’ll spend some time cuddling and playing with toys to make your dog feel loved and comfortable. I allow my dog lilo on all furniture and on my bed, and she is only crated if I leave. If you have a puppy I would also crate your dog if I need to leave as well, but if your dog is fully potty trained I will allow both dogs to be out of the crate together if I am gone (if they are comfortable around each other). If I am dogsitting for you I will never leave my house for longer than two hours at a time, and most days the dogs won’t leave my side. My apartment is quite small but there’s enough space to run and stretch out and walk around. I live alone so no need to worry about kids or roommates.
