I work from home, which makes pet care a natural part of my day. My schedule is flexible — outside of occasional virtual meetings, I can stop by your place for potty breaks, walks, or check-ins at whatever times work best for your pet's routine. My evenings are always free. If your dog stays in my home, they'll have company all day long. I'm here from morning to night, so they'll never be left alone or feel lonely. My dog Kato recently passed away, so I don’t have any pets in my home at this time. I really miss having a walking buddy so I’m excited to spend some time with your fur baby.

Safety, trust & environment
I don't have a yard, but I have a covered outdoor patio with a doggy door and a turf potty pad, so quick potty breaks are easy anytime. For real exercise, I love taking dogs on walks around my neighborhood — walks are one of my favorite parts of pet care. I'm experienced with crating if that's part of your dog's routine; I don't have a crate of my own, so you're welcome to bring yours. My home has stairs, and your pup is welcome upstairs with me while I work and sleep — they'll be by my side, not shut away somewhere alone.

Information Kristen G. would like to know about your pet
The more you can tell me, the better! I have experience with reactive dogs, large breeds, and senior pups, so I'm comfortable with behaviors and special needs that are out of the ordinary. Whether it's medication schedules, leash reactivity, or just a particular way they like things done, I'm happy to hear it all and happy to help.
A typical day
A typical day with me is built around what your pup loves most. I'm a big walker — my dog Kato and I logged plenty of miles together, from short strolls around the neighborhood to long walks through Patterson Park. If your dog is dog-park social and you're comfortable with it, I'm always up for a trip there too. And for pups who'd rather stay in, I'm just as happy playing ball at home. Whatever the day looks like, your dog gets plenty of exercise, attention, and love.

Experienced with Big & Senior Dogs
Pet care experience
For 12 years, I cared for my 115-lb German Shepherd through every stage of his life. He was leash-reactive, so I know how to read body language, manage leash walks safely, and keep big, strong dogs under control without stress or force. If your pup pulls, lunges, or needs space from other dogs, I've handled it daily for years. I also have experience with puppies — the energy, the training, the potty breaks, and the constant supervision that comes with them. Whether your dog is brand new to the world or well into their golden years, I can meet them where they are. In his senior years, my Shepherd used a wheelchair, so I have hands-on experience with elderly and disabled pets: mobility assistance, patience with slower walks, medication routines, and the extra attentiveness aging animals need. Senior pets and special-needs pets aren't a challenge for me — they're my specialty. I'm also comfortable and experienced with cats, so multi-pet households are no problem. Whether your dog is an energetic puppy, old and slow, reactive, or requires special care, they'll be safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away.

Reviews
Kristen did a great job handling my elderly dog. He needed a lot of help on his walks and also needed to take his medication on time. She was very thoughtful and caring and very organized. I would highly recommend Kristen to anyone with a dog that needs extra care. She also had some good suggestions for healthy dog treats at home!
I could not recommend Kristen more as a pet sitter! She loves all animals as if they were her own and you can trust her to take the best care of your pups. She gave a 125 lb german shepard with anxiety the best life he deserved and has taken care of my fur babies countless times. Kristen is extremely responsible, attentive, and timely. Kristen has given my dogs medications, walked my reactive dog, and given them lots of couch snuggles. Kristen really is the best :’)
Kristen has always been very responsible and reliable in her daily life and with her pets. She was the proud dog-mom of her beloved GSD for his entire life of 12 years. She gave him a tremendous amount of love, care, and attention. Kristen stayed calm and in control when he was reactive on their daily walks. She made sure he received preventive healthcare throughout his life as well as senior care, medications, and a wheelchair when needed. Kristen is kind, patient, and loving toward all pets and I highly recommend her.
