“Rey is a Dog Whisperer. This was Blue’s & Ruby’s first stay with him and they loved the companionship of all the other pups, big & small, who Rey has cooperatively and lovingly interacting. He sends a dozen photos each day to reassure you of their safety and contentment. On the worst stormy rainy day Rey said they all (about 10-13 boarders) went “dancing in the rain” utilizing a beautiful green rolling hill area. Rey is also a rescuer and provides a food pantry for those who can’t afford pet food. Rey is the best of Baltimore and needs to be recognized as an humanitarian institution. “James and Mary were wonderful as always! They are the perfect stay-at-home couple who care deeply for their clients and treat their guests as their own pets. They were also incredibly understanding and flexible when my return travels got disrupted by weather. I look forward to my dog's next stay with them!”

“LC had a WONDERFUL time with Erin & her pup!!! We will definitely be hitting Erin up again when we need a dogsitter. She is the nicest person EVER! She is just WONDERFUL!”
“Geovanna took care of our fur baby very well. She sent us pics and videos regularly. We had a relaxed vacation knowing that our fur baby was well cared for. Also while coming back, we had change of plans and she entertained our request to accommodate us. Very thankful.”

“It’s obvious they truly love dogs and take the time to understand each one’s personality and needs. I loved getting regular photo updates throughout his stay. It gave me so much peace of mind to see him playing, cuddling, and looking completely at ease. When I picked him up, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for — I don’t think he wanted to leave! I highly recommend this home boarding service to anyone looking for a warm, trustworthy, and loving environment for their loving dog.”

“Great dog trainer/ dog sitter, she was able to handle our super territorial dog and the dogs came back happy, great area for dog boarding too, if youre in the Glen burnie area, book this.”

“Leah and Shawn were fantastic sitters for my Pitsky, Finnegan! I was traveling from out of state (looking to move to Baltimore) and felt completely comfortable leaving him in their care. They are both very laid-back, knowledgeable people who clearly understand dogs and dog behavior. Finnegan is a higher energy dog, and they were more than capable of handling the things that come along with that. I appreciated receiving updates and a few photos while I was away, which gave me peace of mind he was doing well. When I picked Finnegan up, he seemed very happy, relaxed, and well cared for. I can tell Leah and Shawn have a love for dogs that extends beyond their two very sweet resident pups, Olive and Zoe, who were such gracious hosts to have my little monster as a guest for an extended weekend stay. I would absolutely book with Leah and Shawn again and we fully intend to use them for future stays. Highly recommend!”

“Francine is a true dog lover who ensures our dog Camden is well cared for and loved. She has a large backyard for running and fun and shares her home with the dogs so they are comfortable as well. Camden comes home happy and tired whenever he has been there.”

“So happy with Sarah’s care; she followed instructions to a T, spent lots of quality time with our pup, and provided the most thoughtful updates! Would love to have her sit Taiga again in the future.”

“Bishoy was wonderful with my dog, Scruffy. He texted several times to let me know how Scruffy was getting along and also sent a photo. She must have felt comfortable at his place because when we came to pick her up we had to call her name for her to come from another room. We would definitely have Bishoy watch our dog again. Also, he was quick to respond to any texts I sent to him.”

“Theresa was fantastic and we really appreciated her accommodating a last minute booking for Saber. She kept us well informed with daily updates and pictures and was very thorough in understanding the needs of our German Shepherd. I would definitely recommend booking with her and would love for her to watch Saber again!”

“We just finished our first Rover experience with Jill -- we were thrilled with her and with the process, which Rover makes easy. Jill and her fiance were wonderful with my nervous nilly Shi-Tzu Gigi, and Gigi seemed really happy to be there after taking a day or two to acclimate. I am about to make my second reservation for Jill -- I couldn't have asked for a better experience.”

“Angela was amazing! She was so kind, attentive, and kept our dog active and happy while we were away. She is a true animal lover! We really appreciated all the updates, photos, and videos, it gave us so much peace of mind. Highly recommend her and would absolutely book again! 🐾”

“Esterline was great and would highly recommend. Hopefully she's available when I need her again. Chunk had a great time at the dog park and going out for walks. She sent lots of pics and videos.”

“Kyury took great care of my dog. She took her on multiple walks every day and went above and beyond caring for my dog. Her communication was great and sent me pictures and updates daily while I was gone. My dog came back home very happy and tired from a fun week. I will definitely be using Kyury again!”

“Ariel took amazing care of Fluffy! She took him on lots of walks and treated him like a king. When I came to pick him up after a week away, he seemed like he might have preferred staying with her 😂”

“They were very accomodating. Due to a flight delay on my end. They were willing to spend some extra hours with my dog until I could have someone pick them up. They also send pictures to show updates.”

Jamella has watched Favor several times. Favor is always well taken care of and gets along well with her dog. Sometimes I think Favor prefers Jamella and her family because he's sad when he gets home, lol. I know that Favor is in good hands when he's with her and I feel comfortable leaving him with her.

Nikki truly cares about the dogs she watches. She is attentive, keeps us notified of how our dog is doing, and works very well with senior dogs or ones who need a little extra care. We recently moved further away, but I’ll be willing to drive a bit more for Nikki to watch our dog.

Jessica was absolutely amazing with our dog! It was our first time boarding, and she made us feel completely at ease. She took such great care of our dog and sent us daily updates, which gave us so much peace of mind. We could tell our dog was happy and well cared for. We will definitely trust Jessica again and will absolutely use her pet-sitting services in the future. Highly, highly recommend!

Nina was such a blessing to find as I was looking for last minute care for my pup! She welcomed Sweet Pea into her home and within the evening she was settled and I could tell she felt at home. She shared pictures throughout the stay and was super communicative which I appreciated greatly! She came home tired and so happy - couldn’t ask for more!

They always enjoy watching our dog Kygo while we’re away on vacation. Update us with messages and pictures and make us feel at ease knowing he’s with people who care about him and treat him like he’s their own. Will definitely continue to use them in the future when needed! Thanks again!

Leah & Jada made Butters feel comfortable, safe, and genuinely loved from the start. They were generous with updates and incredibly transparent throughout his stay, which made everything feel easy and stress-free. Butters settled in immediately and truly seemed at home. It was clear he was in great hands, and their thoughtful, attentive care meant so much. Highly recommend!

Odessa took very good care of our dog! She sent updates and photos throughout the time that she had him. Our little guy really bonded with her during his stay and we could tell right away that she cared for him really well. We are so grateful for the care and love that he received from her. We will not hesitate to book with Odessa again!

Sean was great a fit for boarding my two girls Xena & Rogue! I went away for 10 days, they both got multiple daily trail walks, a quiet neighborhood, and a great living space on his ground floor. Sean would give a daily update most days with 1-2 photos so I could see they both looked well. I returned to two happy, healthy pups that seemed content being in Sean's home. Thank you Sean!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
