âAida was a wonderful sitter and my dog had a great time with her! He enjoyed time spent in her large yard, many walks, and an overall comfortable stay. She shared frequent updates and pictures, and was happy to adapt to my dogâs routine and quirks. I felt so comfortable and was able to enjoy my trip, knowing my dog was in fabulous care.â

âOur fur baby always comes home in a great mood, rejuvenated and without any of the typical signs of boarding stress. Itâs clear that Ashley and her family take excellent care of him and truly love him. We love her!â

âAnother great stay for my little Tofu. Jhane and Emjay take good care of my little guy, send lots of photos and are great at communication. Highly recommend them.â

âShruti did an awesome job taking care of our dog Nala while away on our honeymoon. She updated us and let us know how Nala was doing every day. Since we head back home pretty late, she did us the favor of dropping off Nala right at home before we arrived. It made such a big difference in our travel experience. I really appreciated her adaptability and flexibility. Will definitely be booking with her again!â

âVery nice, great rate, beautiful lovong space and dog park on theroof of their apartment. Sent lots of pics. Said my dog was great, even though j know sometimes.he can be a pain... book her!!!â

âSarah was great and super communicative. She sent lots of photos and was quick to respond. I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a sitter.â

âIt is such a relief to find such wonderful dog people! I found a great home away from home for my senior dog. I got great photos while I was away and feel like Olive was surrounded by good dogs and good people during the visit. I will definitely request again. Right now in fact!â

âMarissa is extremely caring and flexible and treats the dogs she watches like family! I consider her house to be a second home for my dog. Unlike a kennel I always know Marissa will be there to snuggle and play with the dogs and the dogs will get tons of time to play together.â

âCheryl and her family were amazing again! Our dog is not comfortable everywhere, so it makes us so happy that he enjoys his stays with her and is himself! Thank you again and we will be seeing you soon!â

âKimberly was absolutely wonderful! My dog, Cooper, has anxiety when it comes to being away from me, which can make leaving him difficult. Kimberly made the entire experience so much easier by sending photos of him relaxed and comfortable, along with thoughtful updates on his care. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. We were so pleased with Kimberly that weâre already hoping sheâll be available again in July. Thank you for taking such great care of Cooper!â

âI felt comfortable leaving my pup with Nicolas. His home a was clean and spacious, and his neighborhood was suitable for dog walking. Would definitely recommend and request to board with him again.â

She look very happy in all those cute pictures updates you sentâŚand we looked forward to getting new ones each day. And thank you for the gift you sent home with her. That was so sweet of you. I am sure she will enjoy playing with it and remember you. I will certainly keep your contact information handy for any future boarding needs for Roxy.â

âMeagan did a good job with Stormy. She was very responsive and kept me updated throughout my whole vacation. It was my first time leaving my dog for that long and I felt at ease.â
âMy husband & I were ever so grateful to have our dog, Star, board with Rich. We had never been away from her for 2 weeks before and we hated the idea of leaving her in a cold, cinder-block kennel. Rich provided a warm, friendly home where we could trust that Star enjoyed her stay. We were happy to get updates and pictures of Star throughout our vacation. Even though these made us miss her all the more, we were happy to know she was being cared for with love. We will definitely contact Rich the next time we need to board Star.â

âLiz and Jeffrey were so great with our girl Paloma. From the meet and greet through the stay, their communication was great and I always felt like she was getting the best care. She had a great time with their pack and they really made her part of their family.â

OMG!! What an absolutely fantastic dog sitter! I forgot everything, including dog food. So glad she was able to provide meals for my boy Max! Everything went perfectly, and my furry boy looked so happy and well cared for upon my return. I would absolutely book their services again and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone in search of a trustworthy and compassionate dog sitter! Tae Said It!

Leah and Shawn were fantastic sitters for my Pitsky, Finnegan! I was traveling from out of state (looking to move to Baltimore) and felt completely comfortable leaving him in their care. They are both very laid-back, knowledgeable people who clearly understand dogs and dog behavior. Finnegan is a higher energy dog, and they were more than capable of handling the things that come along with that. I appreciated receiving updates and a few photos while I was away, which gave me peace of mind he was doing well. When I picked Finnegan up, he seemed very happy, relaxed, and well cared for. I can tell Leah and Shawn have a love for dogs that extends beyond their two very sweet resident pups, Olive and Zoe, who were such gracious hosts to have my little monster as a guest for an extended weekend stay. I would absolutely book with Leah and Shawn again and we fully intend to use them for future stays. Highly recommend!

Iâm so grateful that I found Kassandra to board my dog, Benji! The consistent updates and photos provided throughout, gave me such peace of mind while I was away. Kassandra and her adorable son will love your dog like their own to make the absence easier on your pup. Oh, and benji got spoiled with that amazing fenced in yard! 10/10 recommend.

P1 definitely had a great time, and we really appreciate the care you gave him. One small thing we noticed afterward was that all the food we prepared was gone, which ended up being a bit more than his usual amount. He had a couple more bowel movements than normal, so we think he may have been slightly overfed. Just wanted to mention this for future reference. Thank you again!

2nd time watching Mika! Brittney is so easy to work with and kept my puppy safe over night on a holiday! Mika boarded at her home and had a great time playing with their puppy. Brittney is super easy to communicate with and very responsive to my texts or calls. I'm looking fwd to having her watch my girl again for sure!

As a first time Rover user of the sitting service, Mila eased my anxiety with the care she provided to my senior dog. I was had not worries while out of town. She updated me and kept in communication along with sending pics. She is wonderful and my dog took to her beautiful energy. Thank you Mila for your exceptional service!

The best Dog Sitter weâve ever had! Very good with the dogs, they came back very happy. Very good with the communication. She took lots of pictures. Very good condition conditions you can tell by the pictures of things are neat and tidy. We will definitely be using Gloria again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, youâre adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
