“I can always rely on Danielle to respond quickly. She’s reliable and is a HUGE stress reliever knowing that my pup is being well taken care of. I’ve rebooked her numerous times now, and she has never disappointed”

“Sophie was great with my cat. This was my first time using rover and she was very communicative and accommodating. She definitely went above and beyond what I expected”

“Iman was absolutely fantastic with my dog, Ammo. She was always on time, extremely attentive, and provided detailed updates after every walk, which gave me great peace of mind. She was also very considerate about the weather, always reaching out during extreme heat or rain to make sure Ammo would be safe and comfortable before heading out. She followed every instruction I left perfectly and clearly cared about Ammo's well being as if he were her own. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I will definitely be booking with Iman again. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional dog walker!”

About: We’ve always had dogs and cats growing up, so pet have always been a regular part of my everyday life! I know that sometimes this little things like walks or consistent feeding schedules can be the hardest part of having a pet! Allow me to take that weight from your shoulders! I have extensive experience with large dogs and puppies as well! I regularly housesit for homes with multiple animals and multiple species; dogs, cats, fish, bunnies, gerbils, and hamsters too! I’m currently working part time, but planning and scheduling are important to me. I am more often available in the mornings any day of the week. I value being consistent and reliable so I will only post availability that I’m sure will work! I will make sure to bring your pet everywhere with me! Clingy pets are my bread and butter! I have no problem hanging out as long as needed to always have an eye on your pets when they are in my care.
About: I've taken care of a dog in various formats since I was 14 years old. Currently I have three dogs that I have rescued and raised from various experiences where without me, they would have ended up worse off. I have extensive knowledge in pet care, wellbeing and injuries to keep a dog safe, happy and in a loving home. I've made it a point to understand dog nonverbal communication so that I can identify issues as they arise and keep my and your pets safe. My wife and I work opposite schedules most of the week meaning someone is home most of the day. I am an early riser often starting my day at 5am where I handle pet care until I leave for work around 7:30am. My wife takes over care until I return from work at 5pm and this is how our schedule runs Tuesday through Thursday. Monday and Friday we work the same shift so our pups will be unsupervised from 10am-5pm but are left in safe environments with plenty of mental stimulation and given potty breaks at 10am and extended breaks at 5pm when I arrive home. I am home all day on the weekends to take care of pet needs. I have a fenced in backyard that the dogs are free to play in all day with my other pups who are very friendly to other dogs. We have dog crates already set up in the home that are used on as needed basis and lots of mental stimulation toys like kongs, puzzles and treat dispensing toys. For my dogs they eat twice a day in the morning and night and are allowed unlimited (supervised through security cameras and frequent checks) backyard time, where there is water and a dog house to cool off. The dogs get walked on a rotating schedule throughout the week. In others homes I am sure to follow the schedule of the owner and ensure the wellbeing of your pet.

About: I have taken care of two smaller dogs the past 3 years and have learned the hard work that comes with them. I have also volunteered at BARCS for dog days out. I am comfortable with leash trained dogs and understand feeding schedules, potty breaks, and playtime. Hello! I am currently a college student working a part-time internship and taking a summer class! I am often available on weekends and monday, wednesday, and friday nights. I know how to crate dogs if needed and have reliable transportation to an emergency vet if needed. I have grown up around cats and dogs all my life so I understand the importance of keeping your pet safe.
“I am very pleased with the service received for Kash. He was well taken care of and notifications and pictures of him on a daily were appreciated. I will definitely be booking Shakiyla again for any pet services needed in the future. Thank you 😊”

About: My name is Nautica, I have always loved animals, especially dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages. I'm very patient and have fun teaching dogs new tricks or commands. I have crate trained both my dogs so I'm not afraid of a little mess. I have 10 + years of taking care of dogs, mostly 15lbs to 50lbs but I'm open to taking care of larger dogs. I have a large fenced in yard where we can run and play all day for dogs with a lot of energy or I can take relaxing walks for senior dogs. Dogs are like family and I will treat your dog as if he or she was my own. I'm currently a stay at home mom looking to support my family and grow my profile with Rover. My schedule is pretty flexible for pickup and drop off times. I have a fenced yard and 3 friendly dogs to play with your fur baby. Water will always be accessible. Your fur baby will be free to walk around or in a crate based on your dogs needs.
“Lindsay was perfect! Communication was easy and timely, we met for a walk around our neighborhood prior to her watching our pup. She sent pictures during her visits with Buster and made sure he got all the pets and love! Look forward to booking with her again!”

“Joscelyn did an excellent job looking after our 3 cats for the whole week we were away. We reached out to her last minute the day before our trip. Issues came up with the cat sitter we had already hired forcing us to look for a new cat sitter within 24 hours. Joscelyn put us at ease with her immediate response and effective and timely communication. She swung by the night before just a few hours later after reaching out to her for the first time. She understood the tasks at hand, no drama no fuzz. She communicated daily with us, sending us pictures of our 3 cats and letting us know when she came by. We really could not have asked for a better sitter. She went beyond what was expected of her. We came home to find a clean home. She swept the floors around the cat litter area which is something no other prior sitter had done before. She did all the menial extra things we asked for. We are definitely tipping her well. We highly recommend her.”

“Susan did a great job taking care of our two dogs while we were away. We felt totally confident in her ability to care for our pets. I highly recommend Susan for your pet care needs!”

“I am incredibly pleased with the service provided by my dog walker, Shania. She is the epitome of reliability, always punctual and flexible to accommodate my schedule. Shania's sweet demeanor makes her a favorite not just for me but also for my Remi, who eagerly looks forward to their walks together. Her consistent dedication and professionalism have been a tremendous support. I never have to worry about missed appointments, and I truly appreciate her adaptability. Without a doubt, I give Shania a well-deserved 5-star rating. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a trustworthy and caring dog walker!”

About: I've taken care of all types of animals since I was 12. I've cared for lots of cats, my own dog, fish, guinea pigs, and snakes. I have the most experience with cats but I love all animals. I have the most experience dachshunds as I’ve learned how to personalize care for the breed of dog. I am working part time on Mondays mornings, Friday mornings, and Saturday nights. Otherwise I am open to fit your schedule! Things may shift around as my I just started my job and my schedule may change. Since I will not be caring for pets in my home, it will entirely rely on the rules of the client's household. Any rules that are there will be followed to make sure your fur baby is safe and happy. Along with your fur baby, I can water plants, take in mail, or accept packages.

“Ana did such a wonderful job with my dogs when they had to take medications, had an upset stomach or itching issues. She sent me photos and videos which really lifted my spirits. Ana is very attentive and asks about how you would like things done in your home. I have two small dogs and would recommend her. My two dogs have different personalities and she was great at helping them each at their own pace.”

“Janine is excellent!! There’s a reason she has such rave reviews. She’s checked in on my dog for a few weekends now and when Janine watches her I know she’s in good hands.”

About: I've had pets my whole life, so I understand what they need to feel safe and happy. I live with two dogs and have experience caring for a variety of animals from large dogs to guinea pigs. As a high school graduate, my schedule is fairly flexible. I have a part time job but I am available most of the day to care for your animals. I only care for pets in a clients home. “Sarah has been fantastic with our anxious dog. Leo doesn't normally go up to anyone, even if they offer treats. Sarah seems to have won our dog's trust. She even bakes homemade dog treats to gain Leo’s trust and slowly and with lots of patience she is accomplishing the visits with Leo. We are greatly appreciative of all her work. I highly recommend Sarah as a pet sitter. Thank you Sarah!.”

Sophie is amazing! We totally forgot to book someone for our sweet Asher, Sophie was super responsive, and was able to help in a pinch, because of our mix up. She’s always great with Asher, provides plenty of photos and he loves hanging out with her! 100% recommended!

Erika was wonderful with my two kitties! They were going through a finicky stage so I had to transition them to a raw diet which was a bit detailed. Erika followed everything to the letter! I love that she sent me daily photos. It was very much appreciated! Thank you Erika for giving the love and care ❤️

Lindsay was perfect! Communication was easy and timely, we met for a walk around our neighborhood prior to her watching our pup. She sent pictures during her visits with Buster and made sure he got all the pets and love! Look forward to booking with her again!

Anna is for real, the best! Every time we need to leave our boys at home we ask her to watch them because we love her so much! She’s always on time, sends lots of pictures, and takes care of our furry guys like they were her own. We would pick Anna over any other pet sitter or kennel every time.

Kristen A. is a lifesaver! I ended up having to go to the ER after thinking I can just get taken care of at the urgent Care. That led to almost a full week Hospital stay, my pup Oreo was home and because I didn't know how long I'd be there thinking maybe a day or so I decided maybe to try doing drop-in appointments and allowing him to stay home. She came faithfully twice a day giving my dog so much love and attention! She is very good with communication giving updates on how he was doing and sending copious pictures, and very sensitive to my situation. I would definitely recommend her to anyone for drop in care!

Shakiyla was an absolutely fantastic sitter! She is so knowledgeable about how to care for a big, very loving but also high energy dog like my Alba, and I felt very comfortable knowing my baby was in her care while i was so far away. She is professional, kind, responsive, and an excellent trainer as well, and I will absolutely be requesting her services in the future. Highly recommend, especially if you have a bully breed dog!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
