“Rory is always happy whenever she stays with Jennifer. Rory has terrible separation anxiety and often struggles with boarding. I can tell she is comfortable at Jennifer’s place. She’s a great pet sitter.”
“Aida was a wonderful sitter and my dog had a great time with her! He enjoyed time spent in her large yard, many walks, and an overall comfortable stay. She shared frequent updates and pictures, and was happy to adapt to my dog’s routine and quirks. I felt so comfortable and was able to enjoy my trip, knowing my dog was in fabulous care.”

“Excellent sitter for my dog who tends to be anxious in a new environment. My dog had a stomach issue and Linda took care of him as if he was her own. . My dog didn’t want to leave! Linda provided 5 STAR service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Janelle and Joanna were amazing! We have a puppy who is definitely in training. I was very worried about leaving him, especially since he was still newer to us. Janelle met Remy and me a few days before with her adorable pup Zoey. She had great communication prior to visit, during, and after. Remy felt very comfortable at her place. I am thankful for the extra TLC and patience she showed our boy. We will definitely being calling again for future needs! Thank you ?”

“These hosts totally saved me by being so kind, understanding, and flexible with a recent terrible back to back travel schedule. Not only did they help me book the proper days for Thor when I totally screwed it up, but Thor also really enjoyed his stay and came back to me a pooped and happy pup, which usually means he played the day away! These hosts are amazing and I've already rebooked!!”

“LC had a WONDERFUL time with Erin & her pup!!! We will definitely be hitting Erin up again when we need a dogsitter. She is the nicest person EVER! She is just WONDERFUL!”
“Maribel did a great job with Millie. I'm very impressed with her as Millie is very particular. She provided pictures and updates at least twice a day. She also snuggled with Millie which is something she loves. I will definitely use her again.”

“Halimah was a great sitter for my dog. Despite it being a longer stay, she took the time to meet with my dog and I, decide if we were a good fit, and reassured me of any concerns I may have while away (pictures/videos sent, very communicative). Zada is a great dog as well and I wish them the best of luck on future endeavors, a very nice pair!”

“Shannon is great! My dog had an amazing time (he is happy and exhausted after playing for 4 days straight!) and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for daycare or boarding. She was kind enough to do a meet and greet before my dog stayed the night, and sent pictures and updates every day. It's so nice to know that your pup is safe and loved when you are away, and Shannon made me feel super confident every step of the way!”

“Emily & Patrick are wonderful pet people! They took great care of Karson while we were away and sent us updates as promised. Karson loved hanging with his new friend Biscuit (Emily & Patrick's dog) too! Highly recommend them!”

“Ms Olga was so nice. She sent videos/pics often. Bruno had a good time she even let him stay an extra day when my travel plans got disrupted. Can’t wait to have Bruno there again.”

About: I have taken care of various friends and families cats over the years and have two family cats. I love playing with them and providing a friendly face for them. I have also taken care of friends and families puppies and young dogs as well. I always treat everyone’s animals as if they were my own and strive to make sure they feel safe and loved while they are with me. I’m currently working part time so I have time to watch and attend to your animals any time of day. I am also available for boarding and sittings at houses when needed. I have a fenced yard in a family friendly neighborhood with no other pets in my home. I can crate your dog if needed at my home for boardings and they will have a comfortable space to be in.
“Leydi and her family did a excellent job keeping Nova for a week while I was out of town taking care of personal family business. Nova enjoyed having other dogs her size to play with. I will surely use Leydi again in the future.”

“Amanda was wonderful! She took great care of our dog, Theo, for a week while we were on vacation. She was always available and kept us updated throughout our trip, including sending pictures of Theo, which we really appreciated. We can’t thank her enough for the communication, attention, and care she showed him while we were away. It gave us great peace of mind knowing Theo was in such good hands. We would absolutely recommend Amanda to anyone looking for someone they can trust to care for their pet!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Towson
Absolutely wonderful experience. We were nervous leaving our 4-month-old puppy for the first time, but Linda made the entire process stress-free. He watched our dog for three days and went above and beyond to keep us updated. The videos and pictures she sent weren't just quick snaps, they showed our pup playing, napping, and looking totally relaxed, which meant the world to us. It was obvious Linda took the time to make our young pup feel safe and comfortable in a new environment. Thanks to her, we actually got to enjoy our vacation without worrying. We will definitely be booking again.
Lisa accommodated my urgent same day request for boarding my puppy 1 night stay, when I needed to go out of town. Lisa was very responsive as I would check in a few times on Onyx. She even sent a cute video of Onyx playing. Lisa is nice and professional and I would use her again for boarding.

Katarzyna was wonderful and very accommodating for our 13 year old Golden with mobility needs. She provided a safe environment with indoor and outdoor space and made sure that he had all of his medications on time. We were so happy to find this option since traditional boarding just doesn't work for our guy.

Melissa was great! She allowed my dog and I to do a meet-and-greet in her backyard with her 2 dogs before I booked. She sent me a picture of my dog each day and let me know how he was doing. She also gave me a summary when I picked him up. Would definitely recommend!

Another exceptional experience boarding with Irene! My dog Lily is so happy and comfortable staying overnight with her. Irene ensures that she gets everything that she needs for her routine, plus so much attention and enrichment. Plus she's a great communicator and always responds quickly. Can't recommend highly enough!

We had to book last minute since for the 4th of July holiday weekend and Shatonia was so accommodating and understanding. She was very professional and responsive when I would check in and she was very understanding when traffic made us later than anticipated for pickup. Our pup seemed to have a good time and we definitely recommend booking with Shatonia!

Quinn was amazing (and a great photographer!) She was phenomenal at updating me twice a day about how their stay was going, and prompt to let me know when Riley had an upset stomach. I really appreciate and recommend her! If possible I will definitely book with her again. I know Riley enjoyed herself as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
