Things to note: 1. Meet and greets are required for new clients before booking a stay. 2. If you are a new client and want to book for a week or more, I prefer to do a one night trial run to make sure it is a good fit. 3. During the school year, I work full time and will be out of the house for about 8.5 hours. If I need to be gone longer, I will have another sitter come to the house to give the dogs a potty break. Also, when working, during the week I can only schedule drop offs and pick ups for after 5 pm. 4. On weekends and during the summer, I sometimes take day trips, so dogs must be comfortable with me being gone for up to 8 hours. If it is longer than that, I will schedule a visit with a dog walker to let them outside for a potty break. 5. When I am out of the house, dogs must be comfortable being placed in a crate or placed in the kitchen with a baby gate. For the safety of your pets and mine, I do not usually leave guest dogs out when I am not home.

Safety, trust & environment
About my house: I have a fenced yard, so weather permitting, dogs get plenty of time outside to run around during their stay. Depending on how well dogs are on a leash, I do provide walks sometimes if it can be done easily along with my two dogs.

Pet care experience
**New clients: Please read all information in the "availability section" carefully.* About me: I have had pets for my entire life and I've also worked for a pet sitting company for 15 years. That experience has included administering medication when necessary, adhering to feeding routines, and providing exercise and playtime. I truly enjoy interacting with dogs and your pet will be in great hands. Also, I have two dogs of my own who are both very friendly, so your pet will have some friends to play with during their stay.
Reviews
Melissa was great. She let us know what to expect ahead of time, dealt with our monster dog and oversize crate without issue, and provided regular updates with photos.

We first went to Melissa's for a meet and greet. Later I brought my dogs back to her house for a 4 night stay. They were pulling me towards her gate happy to be there. They liked the fenced yard, being able to explore freely. Melissa sent us a picture and short update everyday. I picked up very happy pups on Monday. Highly recommend Melissa.

Melissa did an outstanding job taking care of my dog Sky. She was very cooperitive and helpful. I think Sky really enjoyed her stay.

Velma loved staying with Melissa!! She was very well cared for and had a great time playing with her dogs, too! We will be taking her to stay with Melissa again soon.
