“She was my first Rover dog sitter since the person I usually go to couldn’t watch my dog and I will say I was a bit nervous to drop her off at first but Nathaly eased all my concerns. She consistently sent pictures of my dog Venus while I was away, let me know when they were going on walks, her eating patterns and if she peed or poo’d. Honestly, when she told me this was one of her first sits, I was pleasantly surprised by how well she handled it also while having her own dog, Broly (sick name), and managing the two of them. I had no complaints and anyone who choose Nathaly to watch their pet, just know you will get top-of-the-line service and consistent communication. Would book again!”

“Janelle and Joanna were amazing! We have a puppy who is definitely in training. I was very worried about leaving him, especially since he was still newer to us. Janelle met Remy and me a few days before with her adorable pup Zoey. She had great communication prior to visit, during, and after. Remy felt very comfortable at her place. I am thankful for the extra TLC and patience she showed our boy. We will definitely being calling again for future needs! Thank you ?”

“My 4 pound malti-poo stayed with Dorothy for 2 nights. I felt very comfortable leaving him in her care. She sent pictures and was very calm and loving towards him. I highly recommend!”

“Aida was a wonderful sitter and my dog had a great time with her! He enjoyed time spent in her large yard, many walks, and an overall comfortable stay. She shared frequent updates and pictures, and was happy to adapt to my dog’s routine and quirks. I felt so comfortable and was able to enjoy my trip, knowing my dog was in fabulous care.”

“Chrissy is a great choice when looking for someone to care for your pet. She is communicative and keeps you informed with how your pet is doing. She is super kind, friendly, and clearly loves animals. Your pet will NOT be lonely!”

“Katie is amazing. Monty loved going to play and we know he is being taken care of so well. Katie provides us with frequent updates and pictures. We are so grateful to have found her.”

“I can’t say enough positive things about Keiwana and her family. They took great care of our Coco. Lots of attention and social connection, which was important for us. They provided updates and pictures to reassure us that she was being well taken care of. Very responsive to questions. They maintained a schedule our dog is familiar with. Plenty of walks, time outdoors and adequate feedings. We will definitely board with Keiwana and her family again.”

About: I’m someone who has had a love for animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up with pets wasn’t just a part of my life—it was my life. My Dad taught biology and always was bringing all kinds of pets home for us. From early mornings filled with wagging tails to quiet nights with a furry friend curled up beside me, caring for animals has always come naturally to me. Today, that love continues with my two dogs, who are truly part of everything I do. They go everywhere with me. They go boating and camping with me as well. They’re not just pets; they’re family, and they’ve helped shape a home that’s full of warmth, comfort, and lots of tail wags. When I am not working, you’ll usually find me at home spending quality time with my fur babies—whether it’s going on long walks, playing, or just enjoying cozy snuggles on the couch. My home is calm, loving, and pet-friendly in every way. I would absolutely love the opportunity to care for your fur babies as if they were my own. Whether they need a place to stay, extra attention, or just some good company, they’ll be welcomed with open arms (and plenty of treats and cuddles!). Your pets deserve a safe, happy place—and I’d love to be that for them. I work full time, but like to be home with my babies when I am not working. Outside of that I am spending time with my fur babies. In My Home (Boarding/Daycare): Pets staying with me become part of the family. I maintain a calm, safe, and pet-friendly environment where they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible—including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions. My two friendly dogs are well-socialized and used to having other pets around, helping visiting pets feel comfortable and included. There’s always time for walks, play, and lots of snuggles. In Your Home (Drop-ins/House Sitting): When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine consistent to reduce stress. I provide feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, litter box or yard clean-up, and medication if needed. I also make sure your home is respected and kept tidy while you’re away. I send regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for. No matter the service, I treat every pet like my own—with patience, attention, and lots of love.
About: I have cared for cats and dogs for years. I rescued one cat to later find out she had seizures. She got proper treatment, love and attention, and lived to be fifteen. I am retired and available days, evenings, weekends, and most holidays to meet your pets needs and your schedule to keep on your pets routine. I have a medium size backyard with shade trees and room to play. During bad weather I use the basement for play time and activities.
“Pamela was wonderful with our lab. Her property is safe & spacious for pets to run around and play. Pamela’s communication is excellent providing many pictures showing our dog having fun & being well cared for. I would definitely book with her again and recommend her services.”

About: I’ve taken care of several dogs over the past 10 years. I currently have a 3 year old aussiedoodle that I’ve had since he was 8 weeks old. I absolutely love dogs and will treat your dog just like my little fur baby! I currently work from home, so I am very flexible during the week. My weekends are almost always free, so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your fur baby! I have house trained my dog, so I have no need for a cage. I have play time and plenty of walks. My dog mainly prefers snuggle time
“Kaitlyn was amazing. My little doggie daughter loved her and her pups. She sent pictures each day to keep me updated with Coco’s day. Highly recommend Kaitlyn to anyone that wants their pets to be in good, loving and caring hands.”

“Gary and his wife Karen took wonderful care of my dog, Finn, while I was away at the beach for a few days. They were great with communication, sending updates and making me feel at ease knowing Finn was in good hands. It’s clear they truly know and love dogs, and they have a welcoming home where Finn was well cared for. I came home to a happy, relaxed pup. I’ll be booking with Gary again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!”

“Had to find boarding accommodations for my dogs for a weekend which was a bit of a hassle, but I came across this app and Camila made the process very easy. She sent pictures and was very communicative throughout the weekend. I would definitely recommend boarding your doggos with her, I certainly will the next time I'm traveling. Thanks again Camila!”

“Lady was great with my kitten marvel! She took great care of her and was sure to send me photos throughout her stay. She was very flexible with me when I had to extend my stay. She was super kind, quick to respond, and I look forward to being a repeat customer in the future!”
“She was wonderful with my puppy! I was worried since it was going to be the first sleepover for him since adopting him, but after meeting her I knew he was in good hands. Super thankful that everything went great and will totally go with her again!”

“Emily & Patrick are wonderful pet people! They took great care of Karson while we were away and sent us updates as promised. Karson loved hanging with his new friend Biscuit (Emily & Patrick's dog) too! Highly recommend them!”

Monique was absolutely amazing! This was Rosie's first time staying with someone who isn't a family member so we were naturally apprehensive about how this would go. Monique treated her very well and even gave us some suggestions on what we could do to help train Rosie. She's a gem and we're very grateful for her.

Connie is amazing! My bunny and dog are both rescues, and my dog is very skiddish with new people. It takes her time to establish trust. She took to Connie immediately! Connie has gone above and beyond with her care. She even helped troubleshoot an a/c problem while I was gone. When I come home, my babies are so content and happy that I think Connie is their vacation! I highly recommend her services.

My dog took an immediate liking to Megan due to Megan's warm personality and happily walked into her house with her. Megan sent us pictures throughout the time she watched Raven and worked with us to resolve a problem when my dog initially did not eat her food. She also took my dog on long walks which was important as my dog is used to regular walking. I would most definitely recommend Megan to watch your pet.
Shoniece was extremely flexible with watching Nutmeg while we welcomed our first child. We had to drop her off early as well as extend her stay by a few days, and she worked with us to assure all worked out. She always sends updates and reassures us that she is safe and sound! Will have Nutmeg stay with Shoniece again and again.

100 stars⭐️ Jessica and her family took wonderful care of our Kiki while we were on vacation..They truly treated her like one of their own, alongside their sweet dog Rosie..Kiki and Rosie played together a lot in their big size backyard, and she stayed on her regular eating routine, which we really appreciated.. Their home is very clean and neat, and they care for pets like true professionals..this was one of the reasons we chose them, and it gave us so much confidence while we were away. Their kids also loved Kiki and enjoyed playing with her, which made us feel even more at ease… I was a little worried at first because Kiki is a corgi and sheds a lot, but Jessica and her family never made it an issue, they welcomed her with love and didn’t mind the extra hair at all. That really meant so much to us.. Jessica’s husband was very kind, and Jessica went above and beyond by sending us daily photos and updates of Kiki’s activities. It gave us such peace of mind to see her happy and cared for… Kiki had a fun and happy stay, and we will definitely come back to Jessica and her family the next time we need care. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a loving and professional home for their pet.. 100 Stars!!!!!!!Thank you so much, Jessica and family, for treating Kiki like your own. We truly appreciate you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
