“We are having Anna walk our Molly during the summer while she’s off school. She has been timely and reliable. Always kind and patient with our girl. We will be sad when she has to go back to her education. Highly recommend.”

“Elizabeth has been amazing! She walked our puppy every day as she was growing up and we could always count on her. We could tell our dog loves her and they really bonded. Our dog also has some medical needs that she was great at communicating about with us! She helped with our training and we never had to worry when our dog was in her care. We will definitely use her for all future walks and would recommend her to everyone!”

“Sonia was so attentive to our little girl!! She came late for us because we went to the Linkin Park concert last minute. I really appreciated her doing that for us! Nala can't wait to spend more time with you today :) Thanks again!!”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my genuine love for every pet I meet. I understand that every dog has their own personality, needs, and comfort level. I’m committed to making sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while they’re with me! Although I am working a part time job as a college student, my schedule is flexible as I will try my best to accommodate you and your pups needs! The days and times I can do walks will work around my jobs schedule, so my calendar on here will be consistently updated every Sunday once I get my work schedule for my availability for the week ahead! I care for pets by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved whether they are in my home or their own. I will follow their normal routine as closely as possible and will listen to any special instructions from the owner. I take time to understand each pet’s personality so I can meet their individual needs. I also make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection so they feel happy and relaxed while their owner is away.
“I am so grateful to Roberta for taking care of my dog while I was away for a wedding. She gave prompt communication. She took several notes. I instantly felt like my dog was important to her. She was timely and took tremendous care of Luna. I would happily rebook her!”

I currently work a hybrid schedule between office and home, often early in the morning til 3pm but its flexible. I have a teen and a 8 year old. I used to have a fenced in yard however I now do not, I often walk my two dogs 60lbs each together, my dogs are couch potatoes and love to be lap dogs. My cats roam around cuddle on the couch or beds unless they hear food or treat bag.

About: I’ve taken care of big and small dogs starting at a young age. Neighbors have trusted me to walk, play, and sit their loving dogs. I take care of a 115lb dog of my own, but have cared for dogs all of sizes! I am energetic and love to play and give all attention to the dog as if it’s my own. I am compassionate but take the training of the dog into consideration. I love long and short walks to keep the dog in shape and healthy. I am an athlete on the weekends, so my schedule is tighter Saturday and Sunday. But all weekdays I am able to fit your needed hours for your dog into my flexible schedule. I can attend to any hours needed for the weekdays. You can expect reliability and accountability for my sitting. I have a fenced yard and one chocolate lab at home who loves to play. I love to play indoors or outdoors depending on weather. I can never stray away from taking a cat nap with an adorable dog and have plenty of dog beds for your animal.
About: Animals are an integral part of my life. In addition to pet sitting, I have three dogs & two cats of my own and I foster for Coffee & Paws Rescue, Inc. I’ve also cared for wild residents of a rehabilitation facility in Brazil, injured birds at the Tales & Scales Aviary at Cunningham Falls State Park, horses at a local barn where I volunteered as a teen and again when volunteered with rescue horses at The Mule Shack, LLC., the three dogs I lived with growing up (including palliative care for my last dog who I spent 2 years helping through degenerative myelopathy using diapers and a wheelchair), and my friends’ cats. I work a flexible remote schedule, so I can be available almost any time I’m needed. Between my pets and the dogs I’m fostering, I usually have several animals in the house, but I maintain a separate space for boarding furry friends to ensure they’re comfortable while staying with me. I am safety oriented and will do everything in my power to keep your pets comfortable in your absence. I have a cat who takes every opportunity to attempt to escape, so I’m skilled at entering and exiting homes to ensure the animal occupants stay inside unless they’re properly leashed to go out.
“I had the pleasure of hiring Heather for daily drop-in visit's and I honestly can't say enough good things. She is incredibly reliable, kind, and truly cares about my dog like he was hers. Maverick gets so excited every time I leave for work and tell him that Heather will coming to see him—it’s clear to me just how much trust and affection has built up between them in such a short time! Communication is excellent, with regular report card updates and fun photos from their outings. It's such a relief knowing someone so responsible is helping care for my fur baby . If you're looking for someone trustworthy, professional, and genuinely passionate about animals, I wholeheartedly recommend Heather!”
About: As a proud dog mom to two Miniature Schnauzers, I know that dogs are family. My dogs are active, affectionate, and sometimes a little stubborn, which has taught me patience, consistency, and the importance of understanding each dog’s unique personality. I provide daily walks, plenty of attention, and a safe, loving environment. I am attentive to routines, feeding instructions, and any special needs your dog may have. When your pup is with me, they’ll be treated with the same care and love I give my own dogs. I also have a cage free environment and have a backyard for emergencies or outside play I also prepare balanced home-cooked meals for my own dogs and am comfortable following detailed feeding instructions, medication schedules, and special dietary requirements. I’m home for the summer since I work in education, so I am available to be attentive to your dogs needs such as play time , affection and 20-30 minute walks depending on weather conditions. My dogs have a routine schedule such as morning walks then breakfast between (6:30-8:30am) and dinner 5:30-7:00 then evening walk My home is cage free, so dogs pretty much hang out wherever I am in the home. We take breaks in the fenced back yard to get out the zoomies or a quick bathroom break mid day. We do have a cat who does get along with my dogs.

“My pup loves loves LOVES her walks — the longer, the faster pace, the better!!! Aanya has been a great caring, companion who has lovingly kept the pace with my pup … so much so that when my pup (who, by the way, is 11yrs old but has the energy and go-go-go of a 2-3yr old!) comes back from her walks… she’s all smiles, followed by a long restful nap. Totally fulfilled! Thank you for taking such good attentive care of the one soul who means more to me than anything in this world! 🤎”

About: My parents got our 1st dog when I was only in Kindergarten and we grew up side by side, which is why I love dogs! Consequently, I started pet sitting about 15 years ago when I was still in high school. Taking care of my friends' and neighbors' pets helped me raise money for summer service trips. During college and into my adulthood, I cared for our family dogs as they grew old and more needy. Through the years, I have gotten to know many cute fur babies and I would love to meet yours! **Unfortunately, due to a cat allergy, I am not able to accept cat sitting requests.** I am substitute teacher on summer vacation, so my schedule is generally open. I am plenty available to spend some quality time with your pets while you're away! Please let me know if your dog is afraid of any particular people, animals, or inanimate objects i.e.( men, thunderstorms, vacuums). I will always have your dog leashed as we take walks. If your dog also uses a harness, I am happy to accommodate that as well. Sadly, if you also have cats in your home, I cannot provide you with my services due to a cat allergy. **Unfortunately, due to a cat allergy, I am not able to accept cat sitting requests.**

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Perry Hall
Constance is the best- very understanding of my requests for my pups, she was great at communicating (very quick responding) and my dogs were so happy when we got home!! Also she somehow got the best pictures!! Thank you for caring for our fur babies so we could spend time with our human babies 💜 we had a blast for two days because we weren’t worried about our pups!!!

Sam was highly reliable, showing up on time or texting us if she thought she might be a little late. Our beagle mix can be challenging on a walk because of her tendency to stop and sniff so many inviting smells in the grass. Sam just took it in stride. She obviously has a lot of experience walking dogs.

I am so grateful to Roberta for taking care of my dog while I was away for a wedding. She gave prompt communication. She took several notes. I instantly felt like my dog was important to her. She was timely and took tremendous care of Luna. I would happily rebook her!

Jennifer was wonderful! She walked my Boxer while I was away for 3 days and I know she was well taken care of. She kept me updated each day with the report card and took lots of pictures. It is never easy leaving your fur baby, but I was at peace seeing how happy my dog was on her walks. I will absolutely continue to ask Jennifer to take care of my dog for any future needs.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
