“Stephanie was incredibly diligent, punctual, and friendly. I know LouLou thoroughly enjoyed her daily walks with her. Having someone here to care for her during the day made me feel much better. She did an excellent job, and I would definitely hire her again.”

“Maria really helped me out with my two dogs on very short notice. She was responsive and kind. Maria provided several pictures during the walks with realtime updates. I'd definitely trust her again with my dogs!”

“Jasmine was great! She followed all my instructions and even came out in the snow to walk my pups, as I work at a hospital. I came home and everything was in order and my pups were happy :)”

“I recently moved here from PA with my dog (Atlas). New state, new job and I really needed a pet sitter while I was at work. I won't lie - I was scared to trust someone with my fur baby. After the first week of walks I could tell Atlas really enjoyed being around Crissy and that genuinely made me at ease. Crissy is very reliable, communicates well, and most importantly is attentive when caring for my Atlas. She goes above and beyond when it comes to taking care of my fur baby. One instance was when I misplaced his raincoat and Crissy came to the rescue- she let him borrow a raincoat and made sure he didn't get soaked. No words can describe my gratitude. I genuinely believe Crissy is top-tier and deserves all the praise!!! Atlas and I highly recommend :)”

About: I have been caring for various types of pets for over 40 years. Mostly dogs. I'm very experienced with senior dogs as well as puppies and everything in-between. I can even care for your tropical and saltwater fishies! Recently retired with all the time in the world to be home and available to your babies. I couldn't truly relax on vacation unless I was completely confident that my babies were loved, protected and spoiled with attention and love. This is what I will deliver. I know the drill on feeding, potty, meds, grooming(not professional just basic) and play, exercise, bedtime routines.....you name it! I can't wait to meet all my new friends. I'm available everyday and most holidays. Being retired really lets me be flexible. I do travel a few times a year for vacation and visiting family. Otherwise I will be available, often times on short notice. I have a small yard with a tall fence and a nice deck for lounging. I also love to take length appropriate walks relative to the dogs needs. Rain or shine.
“Hannah was kind, consistent, reliable, and communicative when taking care of our dog while we were away for the weekend! We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great pet walker and sitter!!”

“Lady remains the constant star! She provided awesome updates while taking care of my puppy son! Will continue to use her services for as long as she’ll let me. 😂”

“This was our first time using Rover and Molly was very patient with my questions. We’re still working on training with our dog and she gave great feedback on how the walks went. We appreciated her being flexible with some schedule adjustment and will definitely use her again.”

About: I have been walking dogs for my neighbors since high school. I have one family that has continued to use me to house sit as well as dog sit for them. I am a recent college graduate from Towson University. I have been working with animals for about 13 years. I have experience with horses, dogs and cats as well. I love all the animals I look after. I bring them in as if they are my own. I make sure to follow the paper/schedule provided to me that way the dog keeps the routine that they are used to. My dog, lets me know what his schedule is and I listen to him every time.
“Heather and Jennifer were genuinely kind, caring, and attentive to Gizmo and Cinci, who are senior dogs. This is my first time in 14 years using a dog walking service for the boys, and I am really happy that I chose them. They were very professional, responsible, and reliable!”

The median cost per walk for dog walking in Overlea is $20

Jennifer is amazing, reliable and dependable. I put my full trust in her taking care of my Boxer when I am away. She is on time and takes the best care of her. Sends pictures and gives detailed messages about the stay. I will continue to ask Jennifer to take care of my fur baby.

Michelle has been super communicative and prompt when responding to requests. She's kind and patient with Artie abd has been more than flexible with her time. Artie has a very small circle of people that he trusts, so generally it takes a long time for him to warm up to new friends. Michelle was able to put the leash on him and walk him immediately, which is no small feat. Michelle will be house sitting for us soon, and it makes me feel relieved to know Artie will be in good hands.

We loved having Michelle sit for Penny! The whole experience was completely seamless. Michelle followed Penny's normal walking routine perfectly, so Penny barely noticed we were gone. She is super responsive and wonderful with updates. We will absolutely be booking her again!
Carrie was great! Prompt in replying and caring for our dogs, especially without having had a meet and greet beforehand. Carrie was through and handled our detailed instructions with care! We felt safe and happy having her care for our 6-month old puppy and our older dog and we’d happily book with her again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
