About: I've been caring for animals my entire life and have a genuine love for pets of all kinds. I currently have two dogs! I'm experienced with feeding, walking, playtime, administering basic medications, puppy and senior pet care, and overnight stays. I understand that every pet has its own personality and routine, and I'll treat yours with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away, so you can have complete peace of mind. I work full time from home. On my breaks I care for my animals. We take walks, play in the yard or cuddle. Home is where the heart is. I have a fenced in yard and live in a quiet neighborhood for walks. My dogs keep me company when I work from my office job. Taking naps and playing.

We have been working with Carol now for several weeks. We’d been looking for someone who could help walk our high energy pup during long work weeks so he wouldn’t end up alone all day. When we had a last minute cancellation, Carol came out of no where like a super hero. Safe to say, we have never looked for anyone else. Carol has loved our pup and even her name makes his tail wag. She’s always on time, always super communicative and always does an amazing job. Thanks, Carol!

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was a kid, and it’s still one of my greatest joys. Today, I’m a proud dog mom to two pups: Roxy, my 16-year-old toy poodle with a sweet but sassy senior personality, and Pickles, our affectionate long-haired Chihuahua mix who loves everyone—dogs and people alike! Over the years, I’ve also cared for many friends’ and family members’ pets, including dogs with different temperaments and medical needs. I'm comfortable administering medications and giving each dog the attention they deserve. I love going on walks and always enjoy bringing the dogs along for fresh air and exercise. My family enjoys having a house full of furry friends. Whether your pup is playful, shy, or somewhere in between, they’ll be treated like part of the family in our home. I work from home, so when I board dogs, I am available to them all day and night. I also have my summers off, so I can make even more time for the dogs I walk or board in the summer months. In my home, safety and comfort are top priorities. I have a securely fenced yard for safe outdoor play and potty breaks, and I’ve set up gated areas inside to provide quiet or separate spaces if a dog needs downtime. I have two friendly dogs who enjoy the company of other pups, and my two children are gentle and respectful with animals—they love helping give our furry guests lots of attention and affection. I always take time to get to know each dog’s personality and needs to make sure they feel safe, loved, and at home. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or quiet space, I’m here to make their stay as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.

About: Although I currently have no pets, I have had dogs and cats for over 30 years. I am recently retired and looking to fill part of my days with lots of doggy and cat snuggles. I'd love to help with your fur babies! I am retired and am available daily when I am not traveling. I am usually an early riser, so those morning walks are not a problem. If I am caring for a pet in my home, I have them on a leash when outside. In your home, I will follow your routine and all instructions you leave.

I’m so grateful to Elliot for helping me out in a pinch! He went above and beyond to make sure my puppy was well taken care of. At first, my dog was hesitant and wouldn’t let him get too close, but Elliot was patient and persistent, working to gain his trust without pushing too hard. Before long, my puppy warmed up to him and they had a great time together. It gave me such peace of mind knowing Elliot put in the extra effort to make sure he felt comfortable and cared for. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and dedicated dog walker!

About: I have loved animals since a young age. I have had cats and dogs my entire life. Currently I have 3 dogs, 3 cats, a bearded dragon and a horse. I have experience with older animals, administering medication, and pets with traumatic pasts. I know how hard it is to trust others with your pets as they are part of the family so I treat all pets as my own. I am very detailed oriented and openly communicate to ensure trust and assurance to pet owners. I am a stay at home mom so my schedule is very open and flexible! I am able to help out as needed and often on short notice. I ensure all outside areas are secure when letting pets outside to use the bathroom. I also stay close by to watch the animals as they are outside.

Sam was highly reliable, showing up on time or texting us if she thought she might be a little late. Our beagle mix can be challenging on a walk because of her tendency to stop and sniff so many inviting smells in the grass. Sam just took it in stride. She obviously has a lot of experience walking dogs.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
