About: As the daughter of a mother who runs a non profit for marine mammals and sea turtles-I have been around animals my entire life. Strays always came home with us as a kid. As an adult, my adoration for animals has only grown stronger. I am on TrustedHouseSitters because I like to dog sit while I’m traveling and I am a former BARCS volunteer with experience with levels 1-3 dogs. I’ve had two dogs in my adult life, one true angel baby whom lived until he was 16 (a large breed dog too!) and the other is a total second born child Tasmanian devil pitty. He is a shared dog by two humans that love him very much so it is flexible when he is in my home-if your pet needs special attention without another dog around, we can work that out. I am self employed and work in events so my Sunday-Wednesday schedule can be easily adjusted to having a companion around. Thursday-Saturday, the day varies a little on a typical week (more so in spring and fall which are my busy seasons) where they can come to my studio with me if needed (pet bed and toys are a permanent fixture there). Saturdays would be the only day, if any, I would need to keep them home by themselves for while I’m on site for said event work. I just moved into my cute little cottage August of 2026 and have put up a temporary fence in my backyard for my dog and yours. It’s welded wire, meaning it works great but won’t want to rely on it if you have an escape artist so let me know beforehand. I love having a dog around and it honestly feels unnatural whenever there isn’t one in the house. You can expect them to have access to dog beds and if permitted by owner, they are allowed on couches and human beds as well. I’m a snuggler and can meet your dog at whatever level of Velcro dog they are.

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wow! Les exceeded my expectations! Excellent communication. Accommodating. My pup loved hanging out with her. It was like leaving him with family. I will definitely rebook with her in the near future!!!!”

“April took great care of our dog Charlie! She was very attentive and was flexible with some last minute medication our dog needed. She was also on top of keeping us updated throughout his stay.”

“Lia was AMAZING. If I could give her 10 stars I would. She made my fur baby feel like he was at home. She communicated with me his entire stay she even sent videos. I definitely will be using Lia again and I recommend anyone with fur babies to book with her as well”

“Alexis was phenomenal. My dog has a great time, I got adorable updates and wheni was unexpectedly delayed, Alexis adapted and made a stressful situation just a good amount easier”

“We are so lucky to have found these rockstar sisters! They are endlessly patient with Henle and love on him during his short stays. I am grateful for their patience and care with my pup and love their welcoming home.”

Alexis was great! She was communicative, flexible, and took very good care of my Littles (doggies). While caring for my dogs, she checked in with me daily and provided lots of photos. Kodi and Nala seemed to really like Alexis, her dogs, and they enjoyed her home. Will definitely book with her again! Thanks Alexis!!

Halimah was amazing. My little fur ball is a little needy and she was patient and did all the little extra’s that I asked just to make sure that my girl and I were comfortable and I really appreciated this. We will be going back to Halimah for as long as she will have us.

Wonderful sitter! They were reliable, caring, and had such a great spirit when it came to meeting all of my puppy’s needs. They even noticed that he needed a little extra comfort and thoughtfully bought him a blanket. They kept me updated throughout the stay, and I felt completely comfortable knowing my puppy was in such caring hands. I would definitely book with them again!

Robert was a wonderful sitter for our dog Boh. He clearly has experience with dogs and understands how to handle different pet personalities and needs. He listened carefully to all instructions and asked good questions. He sent updates with pictures every day. Boh was obviously having a great time with Rob and his wife, and I felt comfortable with them right away. Would book again. Thank you for taking care of him!
Heather watched my dog Nova for a week, and everything went smoothly. Nova was kept safe, fed on schedule, and returned home healthy and in good spirits. All of the core instructions were followed as requested, and the stay was completed without any issues or complications. I appreciate the dependable care during my time away.

Absolutely wonderful experience. We were nervous leaving our 4-month-old puppy for the first time, but Linda made the entire process stress-free. He watched our dog for three days and went above and beyond to keep us updated. The videos and pictures she sent weren't just quick snaps, they showed our pup playing, napping, and looking totally relaxed, which meant the world to us. It was obvious Linda took the time to make our young pup feel safe and comfortable in a new environment. Thanks to her, we actually got to enjoy our vacation without worrying. We will definitely be booking again.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
