I work three days a week as a nurse! My sister also works in healthcare full-time. But we're both usually off on the weekends. On my days off, I'd absolutely love to walk, hang, and play with your beautiful pup! I'm an early riser, before the birds come out to sing. So I don't mind coming early. I also get off work after most (6:30p), so I don't mind a late night walk.

Safety, trust & environment
I love to spend enough time with the pup that they trust me in their environment! Some pups are shy or anxious, so I let them warm up to me. I will stick around to ensure that they eat and play with them using some of their toys to get them some exercise. I always make sure I know where the treats are and will use any toileting methods used by the pup parent. It's a dog's world - I'm just the side kick! (: In my home, the dogs have access to all beds and chairs! We have a big, fenced-in yard for them to run around in. There are dog beds in every room if they so choose to use them. We have toys and the feeding area is located in the open area of the house. There is a built-in buddy in our family pet Zoey, if your dog so obliges. And if there preference is to ride solo, that is possible too! Zoey lives with her owner in our basement apartment, which is fully separate from our living space. This is a dog-friendly home! The dogs are allowed everywhere in our living space when we're home. There are multiple dog beds, bowls, and lots of toys! We have a fenced backyard for their play pleasure. We have security cameras and smaller dogs are never left in the backyard alone! We regularly check for ticks and we encourage you to do the same.

Information Janelle & Joanna W. would like to know about your pet
Any behavior quirks or unique things about your dog that will help me care for them better, I'd love to know. Do they have allergies or follow a special diet? (I've taken care of a pup that has EPI) Do they interact well with other dogs? (I've taken care of pups who don't and the owner preferred them to play in the backyard after a walk, then in the local dog park). What would help me, help them? That's what I want to know. (: Are you going out of the country? Please make sure you have an emergency contact for your pup, who you authorize to make decisions if you're unable to be reached!
A typical day
I've dog sat pups that are super high energy and never get tired, as well as dogs that are very chill and like to lounge around! When I can, I like to take the dogs to the places they are accustom to and according to what they can tolerate. For some, it's a park close to home, and for others, it's a walk in the neighborhood! All depends.

Want Some Pups to Nurse My Heart!
Pet care experience
As a nurse during an especially stressful time in healthcare, I had been thinking the best thing to cheer me up would be some cool pups to spend time with. Couldn’t imagine not doing it now (: I have some experience with dog sitting for friends - medium sized dogs and even those that are itty-bitty! While I would love to help you by caring for your fur baby, I will not sit your pet without having met them first (or even a few times, with and without you). Why? - we find out how your pet does when you are not around. It's best for things not to be a surprise and my experience has shown me just how beneficial a meet and greet is! I do work as a nurse 3 days a week, so when I house sit or board, my right hand woman and fellow pet sitter (my sis, Jes!) helps. We're the biggest dog lovers who've never had dogs of our own LOL. It's our pleasure. I have experience giving oral meds and eye drops to pups and I am up for learning more! All the things I'd do health wise for your pet, I've likely done for a human. (: I prefer not to care for very big dogs because of my small stature, but I take temperament into consideration! I've had to work past some nervous exterior before, so I don't mind, as long as I don't feel my safety is jeopardized. If I care for a larger dog, I prefer for them to be the only pup I'm sitting. I've cared for more than one anxious pup at a time and it was challenging to try to sooth them simultaneously. Thanks in advance for considering letting me hang out with your best friends!
Reviews

Jess and Janelle are amazing. My two cats and two dogs LOVE them and are excited when they are cared for by them. I love them as well … they are professional, caring, communicative and thoughtful. Jess and Janelle are my go-tos … always!!!

Janelle was amazing! My dog can be quite anxious, and it sounds like he made sure no one had a fun time while I was away. It also sounds like Goose is significantly larger than the dogs that Janelle & Joanna usually watch, which I didn't realize at the time of booking. But Janelle was incredibly kind and patient, I would 100% reccomend her to anyone!

Great job. Thanks

Janelle, Joanna and Gwendolyn walk my mom’s dog every Saturday and Sunday. I love that the three of them team together to ensure one is always available. We LOVE them. My mom has granted them granddaughter status and I love them too. They love our dog, Bela and Bela is so excited when she sees them. I highly encourage anyone who is looking for someone reliable and sweet with both animals and people to consider this wonderful team. I can’t recommend them enough.
