“Alyssa was able to accommodate my last minute booking request and was great with communication before and during service. My dog is highly anxious and she did wonderful with her! She took the time to ask questions and get to know her and what she needed.”

“Jordan was amazing! She was so flexible, communicative, and was able to help when unexpected things came up. She gave love and care to all our animals and we were super grateful to her! Would absolutely use her again & recommend to friends/family!”

“Mariah was able to help me out last minute with walking my puppy Maya for me when I was in a bind & I’m so glad she could & that we got to meet her because she has a great energy & now we have someone close to home to call on! You can definitely tell that Mariah is very comfortable with animals upon meeting her & it was only further confirmed by the fact that If was completely evident afterwards too that my pup really had a ball with her on their walk together ! We look forward to having Mariah visit again soon! Thanks so much again Mariah!”

“I can't say enough good things about Molly, not only as our dog walker but also as a person. She's considerate, caring, transparent and reliable. She loves our dog and he loves her. Molly has come thru for us last minute and we're so greatful to have her!!”

“Bridget is an awesome dog walker. Coal usually barks at new people and all he wanted to do was go meet her so I knew we were off to a good start. Bridget is knowledgeable and patient and we’d love to book with her in the future. Highly recommend!”

“Tiffany has been great. Our Molly warmed to her from the first moment she walked through the door. Molly is good with most people, but sometimes she takes a moment to work up to it. Tiffany must have given off great vibes because Molly treated her like one of the family the first second. Tiffany is communicative and reliable and most importantly, our dog is happy to see her every time. We have no doubts that our Molly is well taken care of and gets everything she needs. We cannot recommend Tiffany enough.”

“Samuel was great with both of our dogs! He followed our instructions perfectly and provided updates and photos of their walk. We will definitely be using him again in the future.”

“Thank you, Nathaly, for walking Neo and always keeping me updated with photos and messages. Having someone I can trust with my dog gives me great peace of mind while I was on vacation. I truly appreciate your care and reliability!”

About: I have always found comfort in having animals around me, when I was younger I loved digging in the dirt and looking through the potato bugs. My grandmother always had 2 dogs in the house… labs, Brittany’s, and now two mutts.. She also had parakeets that she let fly around the house before she got hunting dogs. My mom and I lived in apartments and we always had cats, I loved taking the time to learn all of their individual personalities and gain their trust. I have helped with kitten and puppy training for friends and family. I also have reptile experience- I have cared for iguanas and now my son and I have 2 pet geckos named Kenny and Copper. I currently work part time for my fiancés business so I have a lot of time on my hands to take care of your pets needs! I live in a very nice condo complex with a beautiful trail right behind the building, it perimeters the woods, there’s also a ton of walking trails around me to take your pups on new adventures. I have cleaned homes before, I have been the pet sitter and the house sitter as long as there are instructions I can follow easily and daily. I want to spend my weekends strengthening my bond with animals and providing help to anyone who needs it. My son (Roman) is 6 and very good with all kinds of animals he is very in touch with nature and understands to give plenty of space and time. Providing him with this experience by helping to care for animals and the life around you at such a young age is beautiful to me.

I can even care for your tropical and saltwater fishies! Recently retired with all the time in the world to be home and available to your babies. I know the drill on feeding, potty, meds, grooming(not professional just basic) and play, exercise, bedtime routines.....you name it! I can't wait to meet all my new friends. I'm available everyday and most holidays. Being retired really lets me be flexible. I do travel a few times a year for vacation and visiting family. Otherwise I will be available, often times on short notice. I have a small yard with a tall fence and a nice deck for lounging. I also love to take length appropriate walks relative to the dogs needs. Rain or shine.

About: Hi! My name is MaKenzi and I have had pets as long as I can remember, I grew up with two pitbulls rescues, two smaller dogs, and an older cat that I assumed most of the care for as both parents worked full time jobs. Taking care of multiple animals at one time requires a lot of energy and the ability to organize the things they need well but I learned very quickly! Since I have lived on my own I have helped friends and coworkers with taking care of their beloved fur babies while they’re on vacation or just need an extra hand with their pets. In the last year I have rescued my own kitten and I have absolutely spoiled her with all of the patience, love, affection, and extra care that her heart could desire.
About: When you choose me to care for your pet, you’re choosing a passionate and experienced pet lover who prioritizes not only your pet’s comfort and happiness, but also your peace of mind. I understand how important your furry family member is to you, and I strive to provide them with the same level of care, attention, and love they receive from you. While you’re away, you can rest assured that your pet is in safe, caring hands, with updates provided to ensure you remain connected to their well-being. I have experience caring for younger animals with energetic needs who require frequent playtime. I’ve also dedicated time to caring for senior pets, providing them with gentle exercise, extra comfort, and making any necessary dietary adjustments to support their health and comfort. Currently, I care for a 17-year-old cat who requires more delicate care. Additionally, my background includes working with anxious pets, where I’ve applied my professional clinical experience to soothe, calm, and build their confidence, helping them feel more secure in unfamiliar environments. I work from home and run my own business, so my availability can accommodate you and your pet’s needs. I’m flexible with scheduling and can provide consistent care and attention throughout the day. Whether your pet needs midday walks or frequent drop-in visits, I’m happy to help make things easier for you. I will offer whatever service and care is most similar to your pets current environment. If you would like them crated, I am able to accommodate. However, if you are more comfortable with your pet having more freedom within your home or my home, I am happy to provide that environment as well!

I am so grateful to Roberta for taking care of my dog while I was away for a wedding. She gave prompt communication. She took several notes. I instantly felt like my dog was important to her. She was timely and took tremendous care of Luna. I would happily rebook her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
