“Jordan was amazing! She was so flexible, communicative, and was able to help when unexpected things came up. She gave love and care to all our animals and we were super grateful to her! Would absolutely use her again & recommend to friends/family!”

“Mariah has walked my puppy 5 times and is terrific with her. She spends extra time making sure she gets a lot of exercise, and sends pictures each time. I will continue to use her and recommend her highly!”
About: I have LOTS of experience handling and caring for dogs and cats (and birds). I am the person that everyone calls when they see an injured animals or lost pet roaming the streets. My love for all things furry (and hairless too) is beyond measurable. I am ready to walk your loved one and make sure they are safe, and getting their excessive! Want a photo of your baby? No problem! Want a video of your baby? No problem! I currently work from home so your pet will never be alone for long periods of time. I am available most days anytime after 10:00 am. If you are looking for a morning dog walk just let me know and I can try to make it work 🙂 I have a fenced in yard. I have two dogs of my own who can easily adapt to your baby with proper introduction :-). I have kids who have learned to respect all animals. You do not have to worry about kids hanging on your pet or pulling their tail. Animals respect is first and foremost in our household. I also have two birds. They are out most of the day but stay perched or hang out on my shoulder.
“I was very comfortable during our first meeting. Dakota is warm, friendly and it did not take long for my girl to warm up to her with a few treats. She has been walking my little girl on a repeat now for several weeks. I highly recommend her.”

“Kaylena is great with our Gidget! She is dependable and arrives on time and she really seems to love taking care of our dog. Gidget loves hanging out with her too and seems to know when a visit from Kaylena is coming - she gets excited when she hears us talk about Kaylena and her tail wags say it all!”
About: I’ve taken care of big and small dogs starting at a young age. Neighbors have trusted me to walk, play, and sit their loving dogs. I take care of a 115lb dog of my own, but have cared for dogs all of sizes! I am energetic and love to play and give all attention to the dog as if it’s my own. I am compassionate but take the training of the dog into consideration. I love long and short walks to keep the dog in shape and healthy. I’m currently working part-time, so I am very flexible and open to many schedules! I am a full-time student at UMD from September to May. I have a fenced yard and one chocolate lab at home who loves to play. I love to play indoors or outdoors depending on weather. I can never stray away from taking a cat nap with an adorable dog and have plenty of dog beds for your animal.

About: I have grown up with pets all my life, from cats and a dog, to a lizard! I have experience with pets with medical conditions (medications + some special care), from my own pets, and pet sitting for others. I have been pet sitting for my neighbor’s 2 young corgis for the past 2 years, as well as another neighbor’s 2 cats here and there as needed. I treat everyone’s pets as if they’re my own, and give them ample amounts of love and play time. My family currently has a senior dog (springer spaniel) and older 2 cats, with 2 of them being on daily medications, so I truly know the importance of a routine and how to convince them to take a pill! I am open to care for any animal that comes my way, but I definitely have a soft spot for kitties :). I am currently free most days, so I have plenty of time to fit in your pet(s)! I also have my own car, so I’ll always have a reliable means of transportation to and from your home. I care for other’s pets as if they’re my own. I start out slow and cautious to learn the pet’s behaviors and boundaries, and then venture into different types of play and experiences. Just let me know what your pet needs, and I will happily oblige!

“Hey Rover, do not put a cap on our tips! It's MY money and if I want to Tip Maria $10 I should be able to...NO MATTER WHAT! I'll leave you cash next time Maria, your fantastic”

About: *Please note, I will happily work with furry friends that are outside of my displayed work zone, if that is a situation that works for everyone. I truly am a dog and cat person. Dogs, and cats, are part of our families, and enrich our lives. I will always treat your baby, just as you would. I grew up with dogs. When I begged my mom at 12, and got my own dog, my mom told me I would have to do the work, and my mother doesn’t play. I did the work, trained my puppy to use one side of the yard for potty. She was trained so well, she could be walked off leash, and always responded. My dog had allergy problems, at age 12 I gave my dog allergy shots. As an adult, I lived in apartments, and cats suited my life better. I babysat a few cats, one for a month, and then adopted my first cat. Another cat came for a home to my back door. Both of my cats were raised with 3 kids, harmoniously. My schedule is open, whether you need play and activity for your pets, check-ins, or overnights. Mornings, nights, or weekends, I’m here to help your family! My goal caring for your babies, in their homes, is to keep their lives as stable and consistent as possible. I know how important keeping your fur family’s lives as regular as possible is, when you can’t be there. I love your advice on the details of what your baby/babies wants and needs when you can’t be there.
About: I am a school teacher and a life-long animal lover and have had pets since I was a young child. I currently have 3 dogs (and a horse). Two of my dogs have their intermediate trick titles and also compete and do well in agility. The third is an older deaf rescue. I am experienced with handling and also training dogs. During the summer, I have worked with a local company for 8 years for dog walking as well as dog/cat sitting for vacation clients. Through word of mouth I've had training clients and hope to add that service through Rover. I also I am fairly new to Rover since my availability depends on when school is in session. I am a teacher so I am available all summer for walks or pet-sitting. I also do days I am off work and some holidays. I am not available during the weekdays when school is in session. I treat clients' dogs like my own. I do prefer a meet and greet before caring for your pet. I will only care for pets in the client's home since I already have 3 dogs of my own. I am quiet and calm with animals to put them at ease. I can take them for a walk, or will play ball or whatever your dog enjoys playing. I can feed your pet, give treats, meds, and always provide fresh water. I am responsible and always show up, stay the full amount of time, and make sure the house is just as I left it. Dogs are always happy to see me. Your dog will get lots of love during my visits.
About: I am an enthusiastic and active animal lover with over 20 years experience. We live across from the Loch Raven reservoir within walking distance of many hiking trails. We enjoy playing with our pets in our fenced in backyard as well as taking nature hikes on the many trails across from us. Growing up, we had a dog and two cats. Currently, I delight in taking care of our 10 year old cat and 3 year old dog! I love being active with animals and walking them. Our house and yard are very pet friendly! I also am comfortable with admin of needed meds and grooming. The pets who stay with us are welcomed as part of the family. For boarding, we can accommodate one dog per night. We do not board cats. We have a fenced in backyard with about an acre of land. We have a 3 year old dog who is friendly. We have a shy 10 year old cat who will hide from other animals that she doesn’t know. We have hens, but they are fenced in completely.
About: I have been working with all sorts of animals for as long as I can remember. My family has been fostering cats and dogs for years, and I was always helping out. I started 'officially' petsitting when I was 15. I have experience with all types of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, reptiles, and more! My family owns a pig, ferret, and other various farm animals. I am comfortable with all ages and sizes of dogs, as well as any ages of cats. I love meeting and playing with new furry friends and can promise your pet will be in the best care! I am currently a student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and I am home for the summer. I have a part time job, but other than that am available to care for your pet! I am comfortable with overnight stays at your home! A typical petsitting job for me does include overnight care. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
