About: I've taken care of a family member's dog for 7 years. I frequently go to their house to play with, feed and walk him while they're out of town. I have two tabby cats at home. Brother and sister that my family and I adopted from Luna Cat Cafe. I recently finished Veterinary Assistant classes at CCBC Essex. I did my clincial hours at Ruxton Animal hospital. I love caring for animals of all kinds and I look forward to taking care of your fur babies as if they were my own. My schedule is completely open. So I'm free to pet-sit anytime. My availability is Monday through Sunday. My cats tend to wake me up at 7am. Then after breakfast they go out into the porch. Next I give them their dry food and after they eat I play with them. I always have my eye on the animal making sure their okay. I know their feeding schedules well and when their usually ready to play.

About: Hello, I'm Cori! I currently work as a manager at a preschool, looking for some part-time work. I'm a very active person so I wouldn't mind talking them out for a walk or the backyard to play! I have a very flexible schedule so I can visit your pets multiple times a day if needed. As for my experience, I had dogs and cats while I was growing up and I helped family and friends with dog sitting when needed. I hope you consider me for the position and I look forward to hearing from you. I have open and flexible schedule throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. I can help same day or plan for days in advance. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my priorities. I follow all care instructions carefully, maintain a calm environment, and provide attentive, loving, and reliable care.

Tania was a lifesaver. She was so personable from our very first meeting. She just clicked with Cooper. He liked her immediately. She was prompt for his walks each day and gave him a good amount of time outside exercising. I felt totally at ease knowing he was well cared for. Thank you Tania we will be using you again.

About: I previously worked with an animal sanctuary training dogs, and have fostered dogs for over 5 years. I absolutely love animals and would love to help anyone I can!!😊😊 I work part time, with lots of flexibility to play with your pets! I do not currently do boarding as I do not live alone, but am available for overnight stays, stop-in’s, or even just a quick walk! While I do not offer boarding, I take all animals as seriously as my own and can guarantee nothing but safety and the best care.

Allison was punctual and efficient. Poppy seemed to enjoy her walks and took well to her. My husband was home but unable to walk our dog because of a pinched nerve. I was only able to go to a long planned girls weekend because Allison was there to help.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Joppa. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Joppa.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Joppa. On Rover:

  • 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
