“Maggie was very sweet and attentive to our dog Nala while we was away on a trip. She treated our fur baby like her own! Thank you so much Maggie!! Will be booking again in the future!”

About: Hi! I’m a dependable and caring dog lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets. I’ve helped care for my family dog for the past 7 years, so I understand the daily responsibility, attention, and love that dogs need to feel happy and comfortable. In addition to caring for my own dog, I’ve also house-sat and watched dogs for others, including taking them on regular walks, sticking to feeding schedules and breakfast/dinner routines, giving them plenty of attention and playtime, and helping administer medications when needed. I know how important consistency and trust are when someone is caring for your pet, and I always do my best to make dogs feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while their owners are away. I genuinely love dogs and enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality and routine. Whether your dog is energetic and playful or more calm and cuddly, I’ll make sure they receive attentive, reliable care and lots of affection. I work a full-time 9–5 job during the week, but I’m available for dog walks, drop-in visits, and pet care in the evenings after work after 5:30. I’m also available for overnight stays during the week if needed, though I would be away during typical work hours (approximately 7:30 AM–5:30 PM). On weekends, I have much more flexibility and am available for walks, drop-ins, sitting, overnights, and extended care as needed. I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and make sure they receive dependable, attentive care while you’re away. I’ve been caring for dogs for years through both personal experience and dog sitting for others, and I genuinely love spending time with animals. I do my best to create a safe, loving, and comfortable environment where pets feel relaxed and cared for while their owners are away. Whether a dog is playful and energetic or prefers calm cuddles and quiet time, I’m happy to match their personality and routine. I also understand how important consistency is for pets, so I take owners’ instructions seriously and always respect boundaries, routines, feeding schedules, walk preferences, medication needs, and any house rules. My goal is to make your pet feel as comfortable as possible and provide care that feels like a natural extension of their home environment.
“Blair watched our 3 kitties over Christmas break and she was amazing! She came exactly when she said she would & gave us great updates and pictures! We weren’t worried at all when we were away knowing she was checking in on them. We will definitely be using her again and highly recommend!”
“Karenna is a reliable and thoughtful sitter. She made my cats feel like they had a friend when I was away. She cleaned up, asked questions along the way, and got my shy kitty to come out for rubs and pets. I will definitely use her again- I highly recommend her!”

“Sam was fantastic. She managed to visit with Bridget even after she was involved in a fender bender. She kept me up to date with the Rover card after each visit. She added two visits to my original booking without any hassle or problems. She administered my dog’s medicine. I can’t recommend her enough for watching your dog.”

“Laura was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. This way my first time using rover and I was skeptical considering these are people you don’t know and I would be letting them in my home. Laura was amazing. My dog loved her. Everything was left as was when we returned. She communicated very well and pleasant. Sent us plenty of photos and effectively communicated. We will be using her and her only in the future. Great job Laura! And thank you again! We can’t thank you enough!!!!”

“Excellent communication all the time, on the button My dog loves her….matter fact I’m home now and normally my dog Lexy would not go out with anybody if I was here. However, with Susan might Lexy gives her the respect she’s due and follows her without hesitation”

About: I have a myriad of pet experience!!!! I grew around horses, with many shelter pups coming and going at the barn we boarded at. We had a lot of dogs growing up, from great danes to bulldogs!!! I frequently dogsit for my friends, coworkers, and family when they’re out of town (a nice mix of puppies and senior pets) so I am very comfortable with any animal. I am a full-time graduate student + I work as a barista, but I drive so it’s easy for me to come and go! I’m also willing to spend the night if a housesitter is needed, but it will be difficult for me to stay put for a full day because of my other responsibilities. I just moved to the area so my apartment isn’t ready yet, but I frequently housesit when I dog sit. Whatever level of comfortability you have with me I am willing to accomodate :) whatever care works for you works for me!
“I’ve booked with Marina several times now. She’s so wonderful! Knows all my cats’ routines and love languages. She’s always reliable and punctual. It’s a shame I can’t leave a rating even higher than 5 ⭐️.”

About: I've had dogs and cats my whole life, and since I was 11 or 12 I spent years pet sitting for cats and dogs all around my neighborhood. I love animals so much, and I'm so excited to meet your babies and give them the love and care they deserve! I'm currently in school part time after getting my bachelors degree, so my schedule is very flexible. I am happy to accomodate most requests - your pets comfort and safety are my top priorities! I do not offer services in my home, as my cat is not very friendly with other animals, but in my own home I have fully enclosed outdoor spaces for my cat, multiple litter boxes, high quality food, and endless toys and cat trees. My cat's health and wellbeing are the utmost importance to me, and I will bring that same level of care and attention to your pets, however their routines and environments differ from our own!
“This was the first time I used Jenna’s casting services. She did a wonderful job and was a super communicator, sharing photos and updates of my cat. I definitely would recommend Jenna and I will be using her services soon!”

“Michelle was great. She sent lots of photos and let me know how each of my cats were behaving. It is so nice to be away and know she was doing an amazing job taking care of my girls.”

“Sean and his partner Paulina were quick to respond to all messages and showed up on time, both to our meet and greet and to all three cat-sitting sessions while we were out of town. Our two babies were well fed and watered, and the more social one got some attention and play from Paulina too. The shy guy had a cleaned litter box to use when he came out of hiding after they left, but before that they even watered the flower baskets on our porch as a heat wave was starting. Thanks again Sean and Paulina!”

“Dalton was awesome! He dropped in on cats twice a day while I was on vacation and always made sure to give updates, which I really appreciate! By mid-week both cats were comfortable with him and didn't hide. Dalton also went above and beyond and watered my plants for me!”

About: 💗 If your pet needs someone who’s going to do more than just feed them and head out, I’m your girl!! I genuinely love getting to know each pets personality whether they’re the clingy type who follows you everywhere, the zoomers at night, or the pet who pretends they don’t like anyone (until they secretly do like my orange cat which is now super affectionate). 💗I have two cats of my own a boy orange cat who keeps me entertained every day and a girl black tuxedo cat who’s basically my little shadow. Having my own pets has taught me how much trust it takes to leave them with someone else, so I never take that responsibility lightly. I treat each pet I care for as I would my own. 💗 I’ve been pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors for around five years, caring for everything from fresh new born kittens/puppies to older cats/dogs who just want a quiet companion. I work as a travel home caregiver too, and actually a lot of my clients end up asking me if I can come back just to spend time with their pets when they’re away. I think animals can sense intentions from humans and want company for the ones who actually care and show them love. 💗 I’m a very patient person, so I don’t mind taking things at your pet’s pace. If they’re nervous, I’ll let them warm up to me. If they’re full of energy, I’ll match it. If you’re working on basic training or trying to keep them on a routine, I’m happy to help stay consistent while you’re gone. 💗 I know every pet is different, and that’s honestly my favorite part. Earning a pets trust and make to them feel comfortable is my goal. I want you as a pet parent to come home to a happy pet who was cared for and needs were attended as if you never left. Most mornings start with the gym or a run, then I meal prep before heading to work. I’m a Med Tech, GNA, and travel home caregiver, and I’m also studying Computer Science with a Nursing minor at Morgan State. On my days off, I’m usually reading with my book club, playing my PlayStation, or having a movie night. I keep a pretty balanced routine, so I always have the time and energy to give pets the attention, patience, and love they deserve. I look forward to pet sitting, it’s always the highlights of my week. I follow each pet’s routine closely, making sure they feel comfortable and secure in their own environment. I provide attentive care, regular feeding, fun playtime, and plenty of affection to keep them happy and stress free.
“this was my first booking with Jalen & honestly, so amazing!!! helped me out last minute and took care of my boy like he was his own. he even went out his way to go back to my house and feed him after a walk. i was working a 12 hour shift so i wasnt able to be home, and he really soothed my anxiety.i appreciate Jalen’s help and will definitely be reaching out again!”

Excellent communication all the time, on the button My dog loves her….matter fact I’m home now and normally my dog Lexy would not go out with anybody if I was here. However, with Susan might Lexy gives her the respect she’s due and follows her without hesitation

Maria was amazing! She was timely, great communication, and truly loves animals! We didn’t worry once about our dog! (I think he might be mad we came home and he no longer gets to be with Maria!) we will be using Maria again in the future! Thank you for always keeping us in the loop and sending the most adorable pictures of Ripken! ❤️

We are extremely grateful for the wonderful loving care Elsie showed our two cats. We have a senior cat that does much better with attention and love. Upon arriving home we could tell he had received both! She handled everything we asked her to do and more. We will definitely use her services again.

I was glad to have Dalton look after a cat............LOL. But I felt stress-free and had a peaceful time. My camera would alert me when someone entered my unit, and I had no reason to check and have pictures sent. Dyson is a strange cat when I'm ready to leave town. Dalton is a GREAT backup. Thanks Dalton

Irene was absolutely above and beyond and if I could give 10 stars I would. The meet and greet was so easy and my dogs were obsessed with her then. During her check ins she was prompt, made sure they were loved on and was so extremely thorough with her reports, I felt so at ease. I truly am so impressed and will not hesitate to reach out to her first every time we need dog care. She was truly incredible, 10/10 recommend her!

Catherine made my first experience with this service a great one! I was so nervous and she made me feel at ease. My dog can be highly anxious but did well with Catherine. Also, this booking was last minute so Catherine was truly a life saver. I would definitely recommend and use her services again!

I went away for two weeks to Italy and Victoria looked after my sweet cat Willow for me. She did an amazing job and I didn’t have to worry at all while I was away. She made sure Willow had plenty of food, water, and pets everyday, and also was super diligent with giving Willow her daily medicine. I loved Victoria’s daily reports and pictures of Willow and it gave me a lot of comfort while I was on my trip. I would definitely recommend Victoria for looking after your fur babies.

Sarah was amazing with our puppy Billie. She was always on time for the check-ins and left great notes and photos to help let us know what was happening and how she was doing. She went above and beyond and will definitely reach out to her again the next time we go away. Thank you Sarah!

Jenna is my girl! After each visit, I have more and more pictures for my cat's modeling book. She's also super flexible with schedule changes - I've had to come back early from trips on two occasions and she has been patient, understanding, and super accommodating.

This was my first time ever leaving my dog with someone outside of family, so I was honestly very nervous. My dog is extremely shy, very attached to me, and doesn’t warm up to people easily. But Amy made the entire experience feel so safe and comfortable from the very beginning. One thing I truly appreciated was that she took the time to meet my dog before the actual booking day and never forced interaction. She allowed him to approach her at his own pace, respected his space, and made him feel comfortable naturally. Seeing that level of patience and understanding meant so much to me. While I was away, Amy constantly kept me updated with pictures and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. The photos showed my dog relaxed, laying next to her and even cuddling with her, something he normally doesn’t do with strangers. That alone told me everything I needed to know about how caring and trustworthy she is. She was punctual, responsible, respectful, attentive to every detail, and genuinely cared about making sure my dog felt safe and comfortable the entire time. I could tell she truly loves animals and treats them with so much patience and kindness. I’m beyond grateful for the care she provided and I would absolutely recommend Amy to anyone looking for someone reliable and compassionate to care for their pet. She exceeded all my expectations and I would 100% book with her again.

Sean and his partner Paulina were quick to respond to all messages and showed up on time, both to our meet and greet and to all three cat-sitting sessions while we were out of town. Our two babies were well fed and watered, and the more social one got some attention and play from Paulina too. Thanks again Sean and Paulina!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
