Leydi was extremely responsive and caring for our young puppy. Remy made a friend in Leydi’s puppy Rocky and the two played all day. When she came home she was tired out. We will not hesitate to use Leydi again for doggie daycare!

About: I love dogs and in addition to growing up with dogs and pet sitting, I’ve been a volunteer at local animal shelters and have experience with a variety of dogs - young and old, different breeds, behaviors, etc. I’ve lived with dogs my whole life, and when I adopted my boxer/beagle mix, Sasha, from the shelter at two years old, she became my greatest teacher, showing me how to love deeply, be patient, and make the tough calls that come with being a devoted pet parent. I have experience caring for dogs at every life stage, from bouncy puppies to sweet seniors. Special food requirements? Daily meds? I’ve got it covered. I pay close attention to each dog’s unique personality ... some thrive on extra snuggles, others prefer long walks, backyard playtime, or peaceful naps in the sun on the deck. I think it’s important to set up a meet-and-greet with new clients. It’s the best way for us to see if we’re a good match and to go over your pet-care needs in person. It’s also a great opportunity to get all those questions answered, and chatting face-to-face just makes things smoother. And honestly, meeting a new pup is the best part! At the end of the day, we know who’s really in charge: the dogs. Our job is to make sure they’re happy, healthy, and surrounded by love. I work from home and have the flexibility to play in the backyard, take walks, and provide personalized care as needed. In the last year I became especially skilled at taking care of our senior dog so am ready to provide any specialty care if needed. I have a fenced yard and quiet neighborhood with walkable sidewalks and lots of opportunities for sniffing out the perfect spots. No other pets or children in my home.

About: What sets me apart from other care takers is the level of care and attention I give every animal. I take the time to understand their personality and routine and I prioritize inclusion. I love to keep them active and mentally stimulated especially the ones that are ready to rock and roll! I am always available to give updates and even FaceTime so the owners have peace of mind. I would expect that from anyone taking care of my fur baby as well. I am naturally a very active person and being able to play, walk and care for animals is something I genuinely enjoy doing, so pet care fits perfectly into my routine. I provide attentive, compassionate, and reliable care for pets in my home.I respect each pet owner’s instruction's, including feeding schedules, fresh water, exercise, playtime, medication (if needed), and maintaining a clean environment. I make pets feel safe and comfortable by giving them attention, monitoring their behavior, and respecting their routines.

Emily was amazing! We did a meet and greet a few days before hand and then on the actual day, my dog remembered her and was so excited to be back. I was worried because he’s a bit of a Velcro dog but Emily said he slept behind her while she worked and spent some time outside with her dog as well playing. 10/10, I will book Emily and Patrick next time I need a sitter.

This was my first time using Danielle, I was truly impressed, from the first picture she sent me I could see that my fur baby was in love from the way he was looking at her with his paw on her arm, that put my mind at ease. Danielle was a ten out of ten and I will definitely be using her again. ❤️

About: I have been a dog lover my entire life, but after getting my first dog at 18 I decided to become a professional dog lover. I have worked at boarding kennels, vet clinics and shelters and for the last 8 years have owned and operated a training company where we have offered in home care for a variety of pets. I love working with dogs of all shapes and sizes, and I love even more getting to make them a part of my extended family. Pet care is our routine around here! Aside from running our human kiddo to school, my entire days revolve around the needs of the dogs in our home. We set aside time for playtime in the yard, cuddles on the couch, and training time for pups booked through my training company. I have a fully fenced yard with a secondary fenced space for smaller dogs. We have 3 resident dogs who are all friendly and playful, and grumpy old man cat who mostly avoids the dogs. Guest pups are crated when we are away from home and overnight, with a camera on them to make sure everyone is safe and happy.

About: What sets me apart is that I treat every dog like family. I have experience with puppies, seniors, and dogs with special needs, and I adjust care to each pet’s personality, energy level, and comfort. Whether it’s teaching gentle manners during walks, providing extra cuddles for seniors, or keeping puppies stimulated and safe, I make sure every dog feels loved, comfortable, and happy. Being home often allows me to give one-on-one attention, consistent routines, and plenty of playtime and cuddles, so pets feel safe, cared for, and even a little spoiled while in my care. Pet care is part of my everyday life, not something I squeeze in. Whether I’m dog walking, pet sitting, or boarding, I plan my days around the pets in my care. My routine includes regular meals, frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, cuddle sessions, and calm downtime. For boarding and in-home sitting, pets are treated like family and fully included in my home or their own familiar space. I’m home often, so pets get plenty of attention and aren’t left alone for long. I keep a clean, cozy environment and adjust care to each pet’s personality so they feel safe, relaxed, and happily spoiled. Whether pets are in my home for boarding or I’m visiting them in theirs for sitting or walks, their comfort and safety come first. In my home, dogs are treated like family—regular meals, potty breaks, walks, playtime, cuddle sessions, and plenty of quiet downtime. I make sure their space is clean, cozy, and calm so they feel at home. When caring for pets in their own home, I stick to their usual routines, give lots of attention, and keep everything safe and comfortable, so they feel secure and happy while their humans are away. Every pet gets individualized care based on their personality, energy, and needs, making sure they feel loved and even a little spoiled.

About: I have cared for cats and dogs for years. I rescued one cat to later find out she had seizures. She got proper treatment, love and attention, and lived to be fifteen. I am retired and available days, evenings, weekends, and most holidays to meet your pets needs and your schedule to keep on your pets routine. I have a medium size backyard with shade trees and room to play. During bad weather I use the basement for play time and activities.

About: With 15 years of pet ownership, I pride myself on being patient, reliable, and communicative. I'm a pet owner too, so I know how important it is to stick to your pet's routine and send plenty of updates so you can relax. As a graduate student, I have a very flexible schedule. My campus is only a 10-minute drive away, which means I can easily come home to check on your pet every 2-4 hours, or as often as needed. My neighborhood has plenty of green spaces and safe areas, perfect for long walks and playtime. My home features a secure, fenced-in backyard with plenty of grass, giving your pet a safe space to play and take comfortable potty breaks. I have a friendly, 5-year-old Siberian Husky who loves making new friends. For everyone's safety, he is neutered and kept completely up-to-date on all vaccinations and routine care. I also have an XL dog crate available for your dog's use if that is part of their normal routine.

Makhayla really saved the day for me and my pup- last minute, she agreed to watch my dog on a Saturday, and later that day when my friend had a crisis and needed my support overnight, Makhayla came to my rescue and agreed to watch Molly overnight, even though that hadn't been our original plan. She was communicative, adaptable, kind, and great with Molly dog. Sent me lots of pictures too. Highly recommend- you can depend on Makhayla!

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Parkville

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Parkville on Rover is $44.4 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,418 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Parkville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Parkville commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,418 sitters in Parkville, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
