“Maria is a fantastic pet sitter who treats your pets and your home like it's her own. She follows instructions and sends plenty pictures of my pets often. She is by far the best sitter I have hired and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet/house sitter.”

“Zana was great! We booked her for overnight pet sitting for our 2 dogs. She made sure they were never alone for long, spent lots of time playing with our very energetic pup and sent lots of cute photos during her stay. Our pups loved her and when we got home they acted like we'd never been gone. We have already rebooked Zana for a future trip.”

“Lois goes above and beyond. She genuinely cares about our dog PeeWee and it shows. It’s great to get pictures and videos of their time together. Our dog loves it when she watches him. We couldn’t be happier.”
“Asia did a wonderful job taking care of Piggy and Polo! 🐶💕 This was my first time working with her, and she was very responsive and made the whole experience easy. She sent updates and pictures throughout the stay, took the dogs on walks each day, and I came home to two happy pups and a clean, well-cared-for house. I really appreciated the extra care and attention she gave them and would absolutely book with Asia again. Highly recommend! Thank you Asia! 😊”

About: I specialize with big dogs and elderly dogs. I'm a taller guy with a longer walking stride so larger dogs can get more for workout. My schedule is daily throughout the whole day. I normally like to plan 24 hours in advance but if my schedule is open I don't mind same day or last minute. Tuesday -Thursday from 11am-3pm I am not available I currently have no pets right now at my home I do have a rather large backyard. At the parents home, I do make sure that the pets are well fed and hydrated before leaving unless otherwise told. Disclaimer: If there issues at the home during my time at your residence and not disclosed before booking such as but not limited to: proper running water, working AC/HEAT, controlled pest infestation, power outage, violent pet(s), unsanitary conditions, health concerns without proper insurance you will liable for the vet bill and transportation cost or all day 24 hour care with a pet(s) that can not be alone for 3-4 hours than will incur with an extra inconvenience charge of $100 or more and/or cancellation with the help of Rovers support team.
“I have used Jackie on multiple occasions to watch my senior Chiweenie (dog) and 10 yr old boy tabby (cat). They are both personality forward, and my pup is anxious/not the easiest to get on your side. Jackie always does her best to make them feel comfortable and while I’m away I don’t worry about the care my fur babies are getting. Thank you for the work that you do!”
“Absolutely wonderful! For starters, my three dogs loved her! Even the one who is a little grumpy. She stayed in our house for three nights and looked after our dogs while there. She was very communicative, prompt, and respectful of our home! It looked like no one had even stayed there. Would love to book her services again (if our diaper dog didn't scare her off)!”
“Ariel was great with our pets! She arrived on time(earlier), communicated with me well, have no complaints! Definitely plan to use her again, hopefully she’ll say yes!”

“This is our second time having Elliot stay with our Bear while we were away. He is a dog whisperer! Bear is huge, leans towards reactivity and Elliot handles all aspects of his care beautifully. I highly recommend Elliot. He makes being away from our big Bear worry free!”

“Connie provided excellent care for our two dogs and two cats while housesitting. She sent daily updates and photos and everyone always looked so happy and content. She went above and beyond to tidy up and provide plenty of exercise for our two pups. She is professional, communicative, and a true animal whisperer!”
“Lisa was so kind and conscientious about caring for our two dogs. She arrived punctually (and very early!) and stayed until the designated time. She sent photos and updates throughout the sitting period. I would book Lisa again without hesitation.”

“Crissy was absolutely fantastic! I got pictures and updates on my pup, daily. She took such great care of our girl and my flowers look better than when I am home! My dog is anxious one and she loved Crissy. We will definitely be using her again.”

About: I have worked with all sizes of dogs and have worked with multiple pets at a time for the past 10 years. I am available to stay overnight and am available for walks and drop in visits on my work from home days. I absolutely adore senior dogs and rescues as those have been the dogs that have personally come into my life but I love them all :) I absolutely love every aspect of working with animals and work very hard to communicate with you about your expectations of care for your dog. I also always make sure to send photos and texts giving you updates about how your dog is doing while you're away! I really just enjoy spending time with your pets and if you have a dog that loves going places I always love to take them out and about. If needed, I am also comfortable with administering medications for your pets. In my client's home I respect the rules of their home. It's my place to make sure your pets are taken care of the way that you want! So whatever are their normal routines and rules is what I strive to follow. I especially love if part of their normal routine is treat giving! I work from home on Mondays and Thursdays making me available for walks and drop in, I am also off work every other Friday and my schedule is fairly flexible! I find it really important to follow the rules and manners set by the pet parents. I have personally raised rescues with unclear pasts so am also very aware of how to socialize dogs appropriately and respect their boundaries so they feel safe and I can earn their trust.
“Amanda was so incredible! She was responsive and took the best care of our pups! Amanda was kind and helped take care of the house while we were away by bringing in the mail without asking and also taking the time to ensure things were left better than she found it. THANK YOU, Amanda! It is such a joy to work with you and I cannot recommend her enough! I 100% will book with Amanda again! (:”

“Jasmine is fantastic!! She made my dogs feel comfortable, safe, and loved. This was the longest time I’ve ever left my dogs and she helped calm my nerves about it! She would send me detailed messages about how they were doing and was very prompt with responding. I would 100% use her again! She is amazing!”

“I really am honestly lost for words. Janelle is so passionate and caring not only for the fur babies she takes care of but for people as well. She always reassured me that my baby’s were on while I was away. She sent me pics and told me how their day was daily without me even asking. Our pups did wonderful with her. She was super gentle and kind. And if she needed anything she contacted me or used the tip sheet we gave her for guidance. Will be using Janelle again for Sure in the future. Thank you so much!!!!!!”

“We left our year old dog in the capable hands of Dan for nine days. He stayed in our house and took such a good care of our dog and our home. We will definitely book Dan for any future trips!”

“Lady and Khayri are perhaps the most gracious, caring, and best overall dog sitters I have had the experience of working with. They stayed overnight in my home with my two fur babies for 8 days and nights in the midst on one of my dogs needing personalized medicinal attention due to an infection he acquired right before we left to get married. Not only did I receive MANY photos and videos of my smiling, happy and playful pups, but I came home to a clean apartment, and two dogs who were clearly spoiled rotten as requested while we were away. I cannot day enough wonderfully positive things about these AMAZING ladies. If you’re a first time ROVER user like my husband and I were, I HIGHLY recommend Lady and Khayri. I can say with 200% certainty that my husband and I have found our new dog sitters! Thank you Lady and Khayri from all of us!!!”

Another great experience with Cassie. I came home to two very happy and healthy girls. The peace of mind being able to travel and know they are being loved and cared for is immeasurable. She even stayed a bit long as we were delayed in getting home and made sure they got some extra activity before she left. I highly recommend Cassie!

Absolutely wonderful! For starters, my three dogs loved her! Even the one who is a little grumpy. She stayed in our house for three nights and looked after our dogs while there. She was very communicative, prompt, and respectful of our home! It looked like no one had even stayed there. Would love to book her services again (if our diaper dog didn't scare her off)!
Lara was AMAZING! This was our first time using Rover so we were a little apprehensive but Lara went above and beyond with our pups. She was super communicative and provided daily photos/updates on our dogs throughout the week. Our Golden had a few health issues pop up right before we left for vacay but Lara took great care of her and administered all of the meds every day to ensure she was well on her way back to full health by the time we got home. I have a feeling Lara will be our new go-to pet/house sitter moving forward!

Claire was a great dog sitter for our aging lab. Our dog started having some mobility problems a few days before we left on vacation and Claire was great at taking care of her. Very friendly, responsive, and responsible. We had her stay at our house for about 2 weeks and when we came back the dog was happy and well taken care of and the house was in great shape. Would highly recommend Claire to anyone needing a sitter!

Kara was a lifesaver. This was my first time ever using a service like Rover. I’ve never left my dog with anyone before never friendly felt comfortable, but this time I had to try Kara was a true blessing. She took her time with Braxton. My dog is really not as social and only really likes 2 people . Kara was patient and kind with him. It took him a while to warm up to her,but I think eventually overtime he will get used to her. I felt comfortable leaving her with Braxton and the videos and update she sent me eased my mind. I really appreciate all of her patience with Braxton and I’m sure the more o utilize her service, the better he’ll be. I highly recommend Kara. She was very comforting, calm, and patient.

Lois was phenomenal with our two fur babies! We had a last-minute cancellation that really put us in a tight spot, and she was super quick to help us out and accommodate our needs. As soon as we met her, we knew this would be a great fit for our husky and pitbull. She sent us many updates, photos and videos of the pups, and we could tell she really cared for them while we were gone. We will absolutely book her again and can’t thank her enough for helping us out!

Kalliope spent the holiday weekend taking care of my two dogs. She was communicative and share photo updates of the dogs over the weekend. When I came back my house was organized and cared for plus my dogs were happy. I will be booking kalliope again in the near future.

Maria takes such great care of our crew every time she is here. We could tell when we got home that they were so loved and well cared for by her! They were excited to see us, but we know that they were happy and content the entire time Maria was with them. We cannot recommend Maria enough—she has become our go-to sitter for our boys. Thank you, Maria!

I had Mitchell house sit my 120-130lb bernese, Disco, for an overnight while my wife and I were part of a wedding which would really occupy most of our attention. Mitchell is a guy that's easy to trust, easy going, and follows directions well. Disco loved him and seemed to have a great time because hes very tired today. Mitchell took him for several walks through the woods in our property, including down to the stream where disco likes to drink the majority of his water like a camel. We got photos of their adventure all day and while I didn't have time to respond it was good to look at my phone and know hes having a good time instead of just laying by the door waiting for us to come home. I would absolutely recommend Mitchell to other people and hope to book him again when we need him.

Tara came through within a day when our petsitter had to cancel for medical reasons, two days before our travel. Very quickly she gave us confidence that she could take care of a big dog and two cats - and she did! We got regular updates and pictures showing happy, content pets and when my flight was delayed, she came back to walk the dog that night, without hesitation. To us, it's all about the pets and their care and safety, and without hesitation I would use Tara again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Parkville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Parkville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Parkville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Parkville. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
