“Sonia was absolutely amazing. She watched my cats while I was away getting married!! It was so comforting to know my babies were being so well taken care of while I celebrated such a special day. She even did my dishes…I could CRY. She is incredibly kind, communicative, flexible, and even left a sweet card for my husband and I. Sonia, you are truly amazing. Thank you SO much!!!”

“Karen’s did a wonderful job watching my two kids- I mean my two cats ?! My cats loved her after the very first day and she made sure they ate and played, and was communicating with me throughout the weekend. My cats are shelter cats with abuse history, so I was very pleased with how quickly they warmed up to her. I would absolutely recommend her to a friend.”

“Nasa was absolutely the best!!!! We had her watch our potbelly pig. She was great with her! Every visit she sent us photos and kept in touch. We were very happy with her and will use her again!”

“Britney was amazing!! She treated my dog so well and listened to all my concerns. My dog is an anxious ball of fur and usually takes longer to warm to people, but loved Britney. Will use again!”

“Christine was great!! She took care of Riley for us, walking her, feeding her and spend time with her while we were away for a long day trip. We will definitely rebook her in the future.”

“I was out of town & there was an emergency with one of my cats that my roommate reported. I reached out to heather to see if she could run over and check on my cat that night (super last minute) and she made it work and ensured that everything was okay! Always super happy with her as our pet sitter ❤️”

About: I have always found comfort in having animals around me, when I was younger I loved digging in the dirt and looking through the potato bugs. My grandmother always had 2 dogs in the house… labs, Brittany’s, and now two mutts.. She also had parakeets that she let fly around the house before she got hunting dogs. My mom and I lived in apartments and we always had cats, I loved taking the time to learn all of their individual personalities and gain their trust. I have helped with kitten and puppy training for friends and family. I also have reptile experience- I have cared for iguanas and now my son and I have 2 pet geckos named Kenny and Copper. I currently work part time for my fiancés business so I have a lot of time on my hands to take care of your pets needs! I live in a very nice condo complex with a beautiful trail right behind the building, it perimeters the woods, there’s also a ton of walking trails around me to take your pups on new adventures. I have cleaned homes before, I have been the pet sitter and the house sitter as long as there are instructions I can follow easily and daily. I want to spend my weekends strengthening my bond with animals and providing help to anyone who needs it. My son (Roman) is 6 and very good with all kinds of animals he is very in touch with nature and understands to give plenty of space and time. Providing him with this experience by helping to care for animals and the life around you at such a young age is beautiful to me.

“Elizabeth was amazing to work with. Incredibly professional, friendly and responsive. I felt so safe leaving her with my cat Shredder, especially given her background in pet care and veterinary medicine. Thank you so much for your grace and understanding during the past 2 weeks, it truly meant a lot to me. 100% would recommend to anyone in the area seeking pet care.”

“We are so glad to have found Marwa to help take care of our pup during the day. She is truly passionate, caring, and knowledgeable about dogs. She is constantly going above and beyond to help Lolli become more comfortable and confident with her. Marwa is lovely, and we felt an immediate connection with her (maybe not Lolli quite yet!). I feel completely at ease having her enter our home and provide such extraordinary care for Lolli. Her patience, dedication, and genuine love for animals shine through in everything she does. We feel very lucky to have found her and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog walker.”

“Elise spent time every day with them and made sure they were fed and had some quality playtime. This was my first time using Rover and I will not hesitate to ask for Elise to come care for our two cats in the future!”

About: I’m Dan and I love dogs. I’ve always had a K-9 companion and love the company dogs provide. Walks, fresh air and playtime are things I like just as dogs do. I’m caring, loving, and respectful and always treat others the way I want to be treated. I’ve had a dog all throughout my life and have experience caring for animals of different sizes, breeds, and personalities! I have the most experience with Black Labradors, German Shepherds and Beagles, but would care for any pup. I understand how hard it is to be away from your pup so I’ll be in consistent communication, sending photo and text updates so you know how much fun your pup is having in my care. I have a flexible schedule so I can provide the perfect amount of love, activity, and play time in the care of your pup! I can’t wait to get to know you and your dog, creating a communicative, kind, and respectful working relationship. I will provide the same love, care and attention that I would provide my own dog to yours. It’s in my nature to go the extra mile to go above and beyond to make your dog feel like they’re at home! When I’m not spending time with animals, I spend my time working full-time at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. Even though I do work full-time, this will not get in the way of providing an excellent stay for your K-9 companion. I am very flexible and accommodating in order to provide the best possible care for your K-9 friend. I work full-time, however I can still take your dog for a brisk walk in the morning and evening. I am off on the weekends so your dog will have plenty of exercise and play time. I have fenced dog park right behind my apartment where your day can be active and interact with other dogs from the neighborhood. I can also crate your dog if necessary.
“Emily is a gem. She has watched our 3 cats (1 a diabetic who requires insulin twice a day) several times and has always done a terrific job. Our last trip, Emily visited faithfully despite having to blaze a trail to the house following a raging snowstorm. I cannot praise her enough.”

“Ana did such a wonderful job with my dogs when they had to take medications, had an upset stomach or itching issues. She sent me photos and videos which really lifted my spirits. Ana is very attentive and asks about how you would like things done in your home. I have two small dogs and would recommend her. My two dogs have different personalities and she was great at helping them each at their own pace.”

“I’ve requested Imani’s help a few times now with dog walking, house digging, or drop-ins, and she consistently goes above and beyond. She is always such a pleasure to work with and my dogs really love her.”

“Jalen has been checking in on our dog Charli for a little over a month. Charli is very stubborn, and not always the easiest to manage, but Jalen has been absolutely fantastic with her. He is very patient with her, but always manages to give her a good workout between walks and play. She is always very happily worn out when I return from work, and Jalen sends great pictures and updates throughout his stay. We couldn't be more happy with Jalen and how he treats our pup! Would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for help with their dog!”

Crissy took great care of Vinny during her drop-in visit. We did a meet and greet first and she was super patient with him since he is slow to get to know new people. She asked great questions at the meet and greet, then gave thorough (and cute!) updates after the visit. He was comfortable with her and she kept his occupied and happy.

Catherine made my first experience with this service a great one! I was so nervous and she made me feel at ease. My dog can be highly anxious but did well with Catherine. Also, this booking was last minute so Catherine was truly a life saver. I would definitely recommend and use her services again!

Erin was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Lola, while we were away for a week. She stopped by twice a day to walk her, feed her, and give her plenty of attention. Lola adored her from day one. What really impressed us was Erin’s calm, thoughtful care during an unexpected heat wave. She kept us updated, adjusted Lola’s routine to keep her safe, and made sure she stayed healthy and comfortable despite the weather. Her communication was timely, kind, and incredibly reassuring. We came home to a happy, relaxed pup — the best sign of all. We highly recommend Erin as a sitter to anyone looking for someone reliable, compassionate, and truly attentive.

Laura was so great! She came right on time, did a 30ish minute walk, and spent the remainder of the time feeding/playing with/enriching Brinkley. She was willing to work with a high energy puppy who doesn’t know personal space yet, and handled it wonderfully. We would absolutely love to have Laura look after Brinkley again.

Our 8 year old chocolate lab thinks Michael is the best....and so do we! Recently he took care of Ladybug in our home for five days and everything went perfectly: Many updates and pics reassured us that she was being well taken care of. Michael was also clearly respectful of our home. We returned to a happy and healthy Ladybug and a neat and orderly house. We are so grateful to have found Michael! The most recent check-in on Ladybug went just as well, allowing us peace of mind that all was well with our pup when we were out.
Katie was wonderful! She was available to help me out on short notice and was dependable, communicative, and caring. I had total peace of mind knowing my pup was in her hands. Katie was easy to work with and gave Penny lots of love. I will definitely book with her again; highly recommend!

We are so grateful for Angie and can’t recommend her enough! She came by twice a day to feed and let our beagle, Brady, out while we were traveling, and she made everything so easy and stress-free. Angie was super communicative, keeping us updated on all of Brady’s daily antics (and we know he can be a bit of a troublemaker!). She even went the extra mile by stopping by an additional time when Brady managed to get into some food he shouldn’t have—classic beagle behavior lol! Overall, she was wonderful to work with, and we’ll absolutely be booking her again for future trips. Thanks so much, Angie!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
