About: I’ve trained and taken care of dogs since I was 15(now 32). Have experience with puppy and senior as well as medical needs. Apollo is my 2.5 year old lab who is incredibly friendly to people and animals. Great walking partner! Please let me know if your dog is not good with other dogs. I currently work full time remotely. I’m mostly available on the weekends and week days after 4pm but can sneak out for lunch visits and walks. With experience and genuine care, I offer a safe, structured, and dependable environment where your pets can relax, play, and feel completely at home as well as a great play partner with Apollo.

“Rachel is an excellent care person : kind and caring. She also gave us wonderful photos of the dogs. during her stay there was a strong thunderstorm which frightened the dogs. There was also a dead squirrel in the yard - which had never happened before. Rachel handled it all well: letting me know what was happening. i would trust her and use her again.”

About: I've had lots of pets over the years and my life has been made a lot richer for having animals in it. I am very comfortable with the care of dogs, cats, birds and tortoises as these are the pets that I've had the most. I am comfy with the care of puppies and have spent a long time volunteering with rescues. Dogs and cats that have special quirks or need additional care are welcome with me. I'm here to offer a loving and caring environment for all animals regardless of their issues or needs. I work from home and I'm really flexible so I can offer a lot of attention and focus to your pet's needs. Just let me know how I can help! I live in an apartment but there are green spaces on either side of the building where your dog can be taken out to relieve itself.
“Katherine has been so helpful, accommodating, and reliable, when it comes to Callie. As a first time dog owner, I am worried all the time about my puppy, so it’s nice to know she’s with someone who genuinely cares during the day. Would definitely recommend!”

“Jocabet was a lifesaver! She filled in last minute when our usual walker wasn’t available and was very communicative, punctual and gave great updates as well as photos. We will definitely book her again!”

About: I’m a dependable and compassionate pet lover with over five years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats. Since 2020, I’ve helped care for my family dog and have regularly pet sat for friends and family, including daily check-ins, feeding, walks, playtime, administering medications when needed, and providing overnight care while they’re away. I’m also a foster volunteer with the Human Rescue Alliance, where I’ve cared for senior dogs and helped them adjust to new environments with patience and consistency. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I do my best to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Whether it’s energetic puppies, senior dogs, or independent cats, I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own. I’m a dental student with a flexible schedule. My schedule gives me open blocks of time throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, and quality time with pets. I’m also available in the evenings and on weekends, making it easy to accommodate boarding or extended care. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s individual needs, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special instructions. I’m experienced caring for dogs and cats through fostering, family pets, and pet sitting for friends and relatives. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, I’ll provide plenty of attention, playtime, updates, and lots of love so you can have peace of mind while you’re away

“If I could give Syd 10 stars, I would!! Syd watched our 9 year old pittie mix while we were out of town for 5 days. She came over for 3 visits a day including one walk. She came over to meet our pup and he loved her right away. She sent us detailed visit notes and pictures with every single visit which made us feel so at ease. She went above and beyond even giving him an extra walk when he had some energy and cleaning up his accident in the house. We would definitely recommend Syd for anyone looking for a pet caretaker!”

About: I've cared for dogs throughout college as a part-time job, gaining experience with both dog walking and pet sitting. I've walked dogs multiple times a week for several families and understand the importance of providing consistent care, attention, and exercise. I love being outdoors, running, and staying active, so your dog will get plenty of exercise while having a fun and safe experience. I'm currently working remotely part-time, which gives me a lot of flexibility during the day. For those working 9-to-5 jobs, I'm available to walk, play with, and care for your pups while you're away! My top priority is making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. I take the time to learn each dog's routine, preferences, and any special instructions so I can provide consistent care. Whether I'm in your home or caring for your pet in mine, I'll ensure they have plenty of attention, exercise, fresh water, and a safe environment. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to make their experience as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.

“Drew was AMAZING! I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for my sweet Lady. She’s 12 years old and needs extra care and attention, and Drew went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable, loved, and well taken care of during each visit. Communication was excellent, and the updates gave me so much peace of mind. I 100% recommend Drew to anyone looking for a truly caring and dependable sitter!”

About: My passion is making sure pets are cared for to the utmost quality. My pet sitting journey started by walking my neighbors dogs when I was just 12 years old and continued dog walking/pet sitting for family members/friends/clients until graduating college. My pet sitting has grown over the years and I definitely have grown more in love with it. I have a lot of cat sitting experience as well and have always cared for my grandma’s cats when she needs the extra help. I’m currently only pet sitting part-time. I am available after 5pm Monday to Thursday and after 12pm on Fridays. I’m available all weekends. This can be variable as I will also have days off from work which will allow me to have more availability. I live in a spacious 700 sq ft studio by myself. I also don’t have any pets that live with me. I live in a very dog friendly community with a dog park and large fields of grass perfect for off-leash time. I do also have large windows perfect for bird watching for my meow-er companions :)

Brianna was amazing! Meet and greet beforehand was easy, and my cat loved her. She provided daily updates, which gave me peace of mind when I was away. She’s reliable, communicative, and definitely took good care of my cat. I highly recommend Brianna and will book again.

We booked Quantairra pretty last minute before a trip. She came the next day to meet us and our cat, Cash. She was attentive and we felt good about leaving Cash in her hands! Quantairra sent us photos and a helpful report in each Rover report, which we really appreciated, and Cash was doing great when we got back. She also cleaned up a couple messes for us which we really appreciate. Thanks Quantairra!

Amanda was wonderful!! She took great care of our two cats, and one of them who is usually a little shy came out of her shell with her. Amanda sent plenty of photos and kept us in the loop with how they were doing every day. Would for sure have her look after our cats again!

So appreciative of the care Ashley provided to our kitty while we were away. Our cat tends to get pretty stressed and upset when we’re away. Ashley kindly brought her treats and fun toys (including mazes with treats inside!) to keep our cat entertained and help try to keep her spirits up. Truly grateful to Ashley!

Landy was fantastic! She is very attentive and communicative, giving us detailed daily reports and lots of pics, which gained our trust knowing our cat was in great care. We definitely recommend her for your pet sitting needs, and we look forward to booking her in the future to take care of ours.

Maura was absolutely wonderful with Duchess! This was my first time leaving Duchess home without me for several days, so I was definitely a little nervous, but Maura made the entire experience so much easier. She was attentive, spent quality time with her, took her on walks, and made sure she was comfortable and well cared for. I especially appreciated how consistent Maura was with sending updates and pictures and letting me know how Duchess was doing throughout the day. I would absolutely book with Maura again. I think Duchess may have officially found herself a new babysitter!

Karrah was wonderful! She took great care of our cats while we were away and sent us regular updates and photos, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. It was clear they were in good hands, and we came home to happy cats. We would definitely recommend Karrah and would be very happy to have her watch them again!

Tenzin was excellent, very conscientious and communicative. She did everything I asked of her, and my pets (a dog and 2 cats) seemed to love her. She wasn't fazed at all by my 120 lb dog or my 6.5 lb cat; she handled both extremes with skill, confidence and care. I'll be looking to rebook her regularly from now on if possible!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
