About: With over ten years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes and breeds, I have developed a deep understanding of their unique needs and personalities. From playful puppies to senior cats, I provide attentive, compassionate care to ensure every pet feels comfortable, safe, and well-loved. My commitment is to treat each animal with the same respect and dedication I would give my own. I’m currently working part tome while also attending school but can provide frequent check ins for your pets while also provide house sitting on weekends if needed. I provide dependable in-home pet care, ensuring your pet feels safe and comfortable in their own familiar environment. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, administering medications, or simply offering companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pet is well cared for while you’re away.
“We went away for Christmas and Alex took care of our 2 cats. He was great to work with, great communication and the cats were well taken care of. He put our minds at ease and we were able to enjoy our time away!”
“Megan was an amazing caretaker of my cat. She was very attentive to detail and her visits provided the comfort my senior cat was longing for while I was away for six nights. I’m looking forward to provide her services whenever I’ll be out of town.”

“James' professionalism shines through his attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile. His genuine connection with animals was evident when Geronimo, typically shy around strangers, warmed up to James enough to forgo his usual under-the-bed hideout. The daily updates reassured me that Beowulf and Geronimo were receiving ample attention, exercise, and care. James' excellent communication skills kept me informed and at ease throughout my absence. Perhaps the most valuable aspect of James' service was the peace of mind he provided. I could fully enjoy my time away, confident in Beowulf and Geronimo's well-being and my home's security. For anyone in need of a dependable, compassionate drop-in dog sitter, James comes with my highest recommendation. We're already looking forward to booking his services for our next trip!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I am very patient with senior dogs and puppies and I love to see them happy. Overnight stays are easier since I have my own pets and I can monitor and walk them all together and keep them in a routine. My dog sleeps in his bed, he is an older dog so sleeps a lot and my cats sleep in their tree or couch. I live in a townhome with plenty of room for the babies to play and/or keep company
“Melissa was great! She was very communicative and flexible when we had to switch our dates after the original booking. She gave me lots of updates and clearly loves animals! I would definitely recommend her!”

“Stephanie was absolutely wonderful to work with—professional, kind, and incredibly responsive throughout the entire experience. She went above and beyond by accommodating a last-minute request and fitting in two drop-in visits, which I truly appreciated. Despite not having the opportunity to meet us or our pets beforehand since we were out of town, she was more than willing to step in and help without hesitation. That level of trust and flexibility meant so much to us. It was clear our pets were in excellent hands. Stephanie kept us updated with thoughtful photos of them in the yard, playing, eating, and staying hydrated, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter!”

“Emma was WONDERFUL! I was very nervous about using Rover while we were away and Emma put us right at ease. She updated us every time she visited and our dog loved her. I will definitely be using her services again.”

“Chelsea was great! She quickly responded to my last minute request. It was easy to coordinate with her. Her communication was clear and effective. I definitely recommend Chelsea for your pet needs.”

“Super communicative, especially when my puppy isn’t feeling well. Very flexible and understanding with schedule changes and was available at the last minute.”

“Cheyenne went above and beyond in her care of our two kitties! Even when one of them was not feeling well, she cleaned up and kept me informed the entire time we were away. I highly recommend her for your precious pets!”
“Ryan did an excellent job taking care of my cat Casey. I was very happy to receive pictures of Casey where Ryan was interacting with him. This meant that Casey liked him and felt safe around him, which is very important to me. I hope to book Ryan again for Casey's care.”
“Grateful to Tabitha for taking care of Luna and Oliver while we were out of town! Luna was happy for the company and both cats were well taken care of during the visit.”

“Jennie is absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond in every way and treated my dog, Max, like he was her own. From the very first walk, I could tell how much she genuinely cared about him. She sent me updates, gave Max lots of love and attention, and made sure he was happy and comfortable the whole time. Max came back from his walks full of tail wags and smiles! It was such a relief knowing he was in such great hands. I couldn’t recommend Jennie more—she’s the best!”

About: Your pet deserves more than just a place to stay — they deserve someone who truly cares. With over 10 years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and small animals, I bring both heart and expertise to every pet I welcome. I'm the proud owner of a hospital therapy golden retriever, and that same patience and attentiveness is what every animal in my care receives. My extensive dog behavior training means I'm equipped to handle pets of all temperaments with confidence and calm. I know how hard it is to leave your pet behind. My goal is simple: give you peace of mind and give your pet a safe, loving home away from home. I am a teacher, so completely available to care for your pet most days during the summer! I'm very attentive to pet routines because I have my own dog at home! I'm available to take pets on short notice, with a home interview. I live in a safe neighborhood and walk my dog on a daily basis. I do not leave my dog outside unattended, and the same will apply to your pets! Nothing hazardous is accessible to pets in the home, and we are diligent about keeping doors closed
About: I used to be afraid of dogs and now I love them! I always connect well with new dogs I meet. I have a year experience and I am willing to learn and gain more experience. I know the ins and outs of taking care of dogs and I am willing to provide above quality care to your dog. I currently work in special education, working with kids on the spectrum as a teacher. During the summertime I like to do work with dogs as behavioral intervention originated with dogs and how to use conditioning to change and improve behaviors. I like that it has allowed me to get closer to dogs and overcome my fear. Working as a sitter, I am dedicated to provide safety and companionship for your fur baby, making sure they are safe and taken care of. I will ensure they are fed and watched carefully and walked often.

Chelsea is so sweet and sent pictures for every check in. My 2 cats were often hiding but she stayed for a bit and always sent good updates! I am always nervous about leaving them when we travel but Chelsea made me feel so much better about it. Will definitely rebook when we travel again.

Stephanie was an angel! My baby boy was so well taken care of. I was unfortunately called away for last minute travel and then had travel complications and Stephanie was not only able to help out last minute but she also adjusted her schedule to add on an extra day. Stephanie was super communicative and provided so many pictures. I will definitely be using Stephanie again and highly recommend her!

Amy was very responsive, communicative, and helpful. I came back to clean litter boxes, nearly organized mail, and cats with fresh water. My cats were uncooperative, but that's due to their comfort level with strangers. All, in all, she was great and would use her services again.

Aimee is absolutely the BEST!!! I cannot emphasize that enough! Every visit she left a thorough message about her visit, plenty of pics with my babies, and went above and beyond to find my apparently shy girl when she didn’t see her for a couple days! My food bowls were always full, the water too, and the litter boxes always cleaned. She took her time to let my babies warm up to her and get to know her smells and it’s so unfortunate that we will be moving soon and can’t take her with us haha. Thank you Aimee!!!

We’ve been booking Rachel to watch our girls for years now and can confirm she is the absolute best kitty sitter!!! We never have to worry when we go out of town. You can tell the kitties look forward to her visits and she always sends us daily updates with the cutest pics! Can’t recommend her enough 🩷

Alise is always the best!! She has dog sat for our two babes many many time. This time, we had some changes in scheduling and issues with our electronic front door lock, but Alise was great with navigating it and communication. There’s no one else I trust with our pups. 10/10 always!!

Liz was amazing, as always. A check-in and potty break for our pups ended up being a cleaning project, not to mention having to deal with a visiting family member’s evil chihuahua, and she handled everything very graciously. Our two dogs love her (one of them being an incredibly discriminating corgi) and we feel a lot more at ease when we know Liz is taking care of them. She’s the best!

We have used Elizabeth to care for our two cats and fish for multiple trips and will continue to request her services in the future. We are never worried while away as Elizabeth is great at communicating issues/questions and is careful with our pets care. Anyone browsing looking for a trusted pet sitter I recommend that you can count on Elizabeth! Thanks again!

Thank you for looking after Taro for the second time. I really recommend them. We were out of town and Jahcarre and Morgan stopped by for an hour on two separate days. They were on time and allowed our dog to relax for a while. We really appreciate the both of you.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sabrina. As soon as we met, I knew she would be a wonderful cat sitter. She took care of my babies like they were her own, and they warmed up to her right away. She is extremely professional, but very sweet and personable also. I recommend her highly and of course I will have her watch my cats whenever I have to go out of town. The peace of mind I feel with her is awesome. Thank you, Sabrina.

Cheyenne checked in on our three pets (2 dogs, 1 cat) while we were away. She gave them lots of snuggles and they immediately warmed up to her. Even my shy kitty came out to say hi and fight for pets from her, my dogs were taking all of her time/hands haha. Cheyenne was very responsive, and did everything i asked her to do! (it was a lot). Thank you, Cheyenne. We will most definitely keep you in mind for future trips!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
