About: I am a therapist full time and I grew up with a labradoodle (he’s 13 and thriving!) I have two cats of my own as well. Growing up throughout high school, I was a dog sitter and dog walker for neighbors and family friends. I have so much love for animals and experience in senior dog care, post-surgery care, and all sorts of cat care :) I also have watched bunnies!! I work full time as a therapist but full time looks different as a therapist, I work about 25 hours a week so I have lots of time to drop by and check on your animal(s) or take ‘em out for a walk! I approach every animal with love and respect for their boundaries! I am a huge animal lover and my empathy I would say is my strong suit for both my full time job and this one :)

“Sarah did an amazing job looking after my ~9 month old cat while I was gone! She sent lots of photo updates to let me know that things were okay, and the my baby seemed very well taken care of. She cleaned the litter box and gave her lots of fresh water, just like I asked. I would definitely use her services again!”

“Kathleen was a lifesaver. We were away for a day trip and had scheduled her to walk our dog mid-day. While we were on the trip we had an emergency that made it impossible for us to get home to walk and feed our dog that evening as planned. Kathleen was quick to respond and helped us out last-minute for a second visit the same day.”

About: I’ve been the primary caregiver of our family dog for over a decade (miss you Luna!). She was small but feisty and I have experience taking care of dogs of all sizes and ages for friends and family! I’m a grad student and have classes and my internship to attend to Monday through Thursday, but am free in the evenings those days, and all day on the weekends! I have a peaceful home downtown for pets to roam around in, and a small, fenced outdoor space and nearby park to walk around with them.
“My first time using Jules and DEFINITELY NOT my last. Jules was responsive and interactive with both of my dogs. She played with Roman and rubbed Coco like the princess she is. We will be booking again.”

About: Animals have been in my family for as long as I could remember! When it was my time to take care of them, I loved them till my heart broke. I took care of my first ever pet fish, Rudolph, in elementary school till his last moments of life, the fish life can be simple but the work put into the fishes care can help create a fun and relaxing environment. After Rudolph, I have the pleasure of having the family dog Angel. A lovely pit bull mix, who made being fun and rambunctious seem to be the best characteristics in life. Later when I started high school, I had my first cat Lucy, who lived for a very long time until my junior year in college. I understood that cats are very laid-back, however I also understood that each cat has a unique personality, and like humans, take some time to see their personality. Very recently I take care of 2 cats with my mom named Rambo and Misty, we have had these kittens turned cats for a year and they still show me more and more how each cat is unique. I take care of these cats by providing a space of care, most people may think that cats are easy animals because they take care of themselves, but I realize that cats need to be taken care of as well in ways of having someone to play with, to having someone to cuddle with to having someone clean their litter box every day. My motto with animals is that, they should be treated with the same respect of humans. They should receive similar care and loving that we give to humans because of how much they do for us. And with my experience I have seen plenty of animals and I am always open to learning more about them. I have recently graduated from undergrad at McDaniel so as I am finding my footing in the world I currently strive to care for animals in my free time. With that I currently take care of my 2 cats almost every other hour, to feed them or to provide them cuddles and pets and when they need food or clean water bowls, I ensure they are done with integrity. I hope with the chance of taking care of your pets, I will have a new weekly routine. As mentioned, with my 2 cats, I let them get to know me in ways that can establish a sense of trust within me. Sticking to the daily routine of my client can help that process stick to where we can possibly make new connections similar to best friends creating a handshake to show the world their unique relationship, I would strive to do the same with your pets. When pets are seeing someone new they are nervous like humans, and if I can make sure when they see me, they can relax and possibly have fun I have done my job as a sitter, or a walker!
“Grace did a very good job of feeding and playing with our cat and giving him affection. Our cat is very fond of her so we felt completely reassured that our cat was happy when we were gone.”

“Vita was very professional and courteous. She went the extra mile to make sure my dogs were taken care of. Would 100% recommend for a home visit, especially for dogs that require a little extra care and attention.”

“Raechel was wonderful with my cat and sent lots of pics and videos to assure me that my fur baby was doing well. She even brought extra toys to play with.”

“Catherine took great care of BuBu while I was gone. From the pictures she sent me, it's clear that he warmed up to her quickly and enjoyed the attention she gave him. It looks like Catherine spent a lot of time brushing BuBu, which is one of his favorite things in the world. Catherine went above and beyond by emptying the litter genie when it was full and throwing the bag in the dumpster.”

About: Note: I live in downtown Baltimore but work in Arlington, VA so housesits in DC/Virginia are ideal. Hi! I’m Serena, a dependable and experienced pet sitter with over 10 years of experience caring for pets and homes. I grew up in a home full of cats and 1 dog and was a proud cat owner for many years. Since then, caring for other people’s pets has become something I truly enjoy. Friends, neighbors, and travelers regularly trust me to care for their pets while they’re away. I understand that pets are family, and I always work to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and relaxed in their own environment. My clients often tell me they appreciate my communication while they’re away. I make sure to send regular updates, photos, and videos so you can see how your pets are doing and feel confident they’re in good hands. Outside of pet sitting, I’m an avid gardener with over 30 indoor plants and a vegetable garden. Because of this, I’m also very comfortable caring for plants and maintaining a home while you’re traveling. At the moment, I am available full-time some weekdays during the day as well as some weekends. Please send me your dates, and I will check my calendar. My Care Style My goal is to keep your pet’s routine as normal and stress-free as possible. During visits I focus on: • feeding and fresh water • litter box or bathroom breaks • playtime and attention • monitoring behavior and wellbeing • maintaining routines your pet is used to I’m also happy to help with small household tasks such as watering plants, bringing in mail, and keeping your home tidy while you’re away.
“Brittney was my new puppy first dog sitter to checkin on her while I am at work. We had her for only one week. Brit did great with keeping her safe, feeding her, and some TLC. Brit also replied to my request for checkin on the same day request. Lots of pics and super nice with my new puppy!!”

About: I grew up with dogs, cats, and farm animals that I cared for over many years; caring for animals is ingrained in me. Being with animals brings me joy, plain and simple. I've fostered animals for months while working with PACT - a temporary pet fostering organization that requires a background check. I also worked at the Humane Society for 4 years and have had many cats and dogs of my own. I’m a nursing student, so I have a flexible schedule that will allow me to take care of your cat / pup however you need :)

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - West Baltimore
Erin was such a breeze to work with for our pet sitting. She was quick to reply to messages, was clear and concise with her communication, took great care of our large dogs and took fantastic pictures. Furthermore, she was able to navigate her way to our house on a day that was challenging due to a city event. I would recommend Erin to anyone who needs a pet sitter.

Elizabeth was awesome and took such great care of my cats! This was my first time using Rover, so I was pretty nervous, but she totally eased my mind. She was super nice during the meet and greet and sent me pictures and updates every day while she was taking care of them. I really appreciated the communication and knowing my cats were in good hands. I would definitely recommend Elizabeth!

Margaret was great. She came over in advance for and meet and greet and Everly took to her immediately. I didn't get as many pictures or info. about her visits as I've gotten with other Rover sitters, but I was not concerned and I trusted that she would reach out if needed. She also recommended a weird attraction for me to visit in my roadtrip which was cool (& I was able too see it which was aweskne). Overall she was kind, snuggled w/ Everly as much as he washed/needed, communicative w/ me when needed, timely with her pop-in visits, and left my home in perfect condition. I'd definitely book her again.

Jayna has been wonderful with my cats. She's coaxed 2 extremely shy older kitties into coming out to say hello and has done an incredible job working out the energy of our youngest, most rambunctious cat. Sid has more mischief in him than we know what to do with, but his behavior is definitely improved after she visits and puts him through his paces. She has a very gentle and engaging energy with animals. Meanwhile, she is extremely consistent, prompt, professional, and courteous. Would 100% recommend.

Jillian is an outstanding cat sitter!! She took care of my two cats, Hana & Pachi for six days, and she did an amazing job. Jillian is a great communicator. She's very conscientious. She gave my cats lots of love, affection, playtime, and scritches. I will absolutely hire Jillian again!
