I’m Serena, a dependable and experienced pet sitter with over 10 years of experience caring for pets and homes. I grew up in a home full of cats and 1 dog and was a proud cat owner for many years. Since then, caring for other people’s pets has become something I truly enjoy. Friends, neighbors, and travelers regularly trust me to care for their pets while they’re away. I understand that pets are family, and I always work to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and relaxed in their own environment. I make sure to send regular updates, photos, and videos so you can see how your pets are doing and feel confident they’re in good hands. Outside of pet sitting, I’m an avid gardener with over 30 indoor plants and a vegetable garden. Because of this, I’m also very comfortable caring for plants and maintaining a home while you’re traveling. About: I have extensive experience caring for dogs along with a genuine passion. I believe dogs can be a life changing companion that benefit greatly from social and physical enrichment. I have a universalistic philosophy, I believe everything is inherently the same/equal at its core. Taking the perspective of a dog leads me to believe pets can be under appreciated or even neglected due to the busyness of life. Dogs are also very therapeutic for me; this combination of factors lead me to have a genuine and enthusiastic approach for canine care. My mother purchased dogs for emotional support, although she had a hard time supporting them in return. After noticing this, I decided to take care of them personally. I took care of all five of her dogs as well as my friend’s elderly Labrador. I would make them fresh dog food every week, walk them almost daily, take them to the dog park, groom/bathe them, teach them tricks, and show them love. I believe this inadvertently benefited my mom as well. As the dogs had a greater capacity to provide the grounded emotional support she needed. Providing this care didn’t feel burdensome at all, instead it felt mutually beneficial. With this background, I feel confident in my ability to bring a positive impact to your pets life. Not currently working, so I would love to take care of dogs when the owners are out at work. This would allow them to receive nourishment in times of inaction. I like to always be around the pet if possible. Petting and playing naturally occur, whilst keeping alarms on my phone so I do not forget any potty breaks or meal times. I also like to give the dog at least a 10 minute walk to use the bathroom so they don’t feel rushed. I have a minimalist phone and would never engage in any form of substances while watching a dog. Therefore, I will have minimal distractions and ample availability to properly care for your canine companion.

About: I’ve spent years caring for pets in my community, including seniors and those with medical & behavioral needs. I’m new to Baltimore and new to Rover, and I’d love to use my skills to explore the city with your pet! I’m currently working part-time, so I’ll have plenty of time for your pets! I am also free most evenings after 5:30, and I’m open to overnight stays. I currently cannot offer hosting pets in my home, but when I care for your pet, I truly care. I want to know their individual needs, and I know that good communication goes both ways: you can always count on updates (& cute pictures) of your pet!

About: I am certified in pet CPR and have completed in 1 year of pre-vet education in high school. I know how to do basic dog training. I am a full time college student so I have a pretty flexible schedule after 12pm on weekdays. For weekends I’m available at anytime. I can do 45-1hr of walking and playing fetch. I’ll make sure your dog gets clean water and gets fed the time you need me to.
