“Lydia stayed at our house for 2 nights to babysit our rambunctious labradoodle puppy and she was amazing! She sent us pictures and updated us the whole time we were gone. She even taught our pup how to run next to the bike with her! I would highly recommend Lydia to take care of your dog :)”

“Kathleen took great care of our senior cat and our home. She navigated some technical challenges with our alarm system with professionalism and good humor. Highly recommend. Will definitely re-book.”

“Gavin was exceptional watching our sweet pup! He was very proactive in communication & sending updates, and very responsive. Peu was well taken care of and he seemed very attentive to her needs. “Pre was very good with my two dogs and on time and responsive during the whole process. She kept the place in great condition and we would have her back in the future.”

About: I work full-time in Baltimore and am an experienced foster for BARCS as well, looking for pet cuddles and side hustle. I have 4 cats and live in Baltimore, MD. I like to play with cats and dogs and have grown up with animals my whole life. If you want your pet brushed or cat’s nails clipped, I can help you out. I clean up after myself so if I do overnight care I’ll erase my presence but your pet(s) will be happy and healthy while you’re away because I’ll be their faithful friend in your absence. What more do you want to know? Feel free to ask. Screening phone calls accepted and meeting in advance is okay. Mornings and evenings during weekdays works for me and my schedule is very flexible on the weekends. My work hours are 09:00am-05:00pm Monday through Friday. I can’t host dogs at my home because of my cats, but cats can stay here. I prefer to provide animal care at the animal’s home (it’s also more comfortable for them).
“SJ was a dream dog and house sitter! Very communicative, thoughtful and most importantly, an instant friend to my dog! I would book with them again in a heartbeat. Thanks, SJ!”

About: I’ve worked at and managed a dog boarding facility for a little over two years in downtown Baltimore. I also have a pit bull mix and a beagle. My beagle is 10 who’ve I had since she was a puppy and my pity is about 5 who’ve I’ve also had since a puppy. My beagle has currently had to undergo a lot of surgeries so I can certainly take care of any high maintenance or elderly dogs. I work a full time job but when sitting or having animals to care for they will get tended to in the morning before work, immediately after I am off and before I go to bed/home. The weekends I am always free. Pets will not be welcome in my home as I have too many animals and unknown factors associated with that. When entering a clients home I will make sure the pet can hear me entering the home as to not startle them. I will always let them sniff me and see who I am before any further approach. Any treats that are allowed to be given while owners are away I will give. It ultimately depends on the animal and what is communicated to me about the personality and behaviors. I will always Ask questions if I am unsure of anything and never assume something based off the way I care for my personal pets. Everyone has different instructions and I intend to honor them.
“Brittney was great! She was able to handle my gargantuan sized Goldendoodle with ease, and give him the love he deserves while I was away. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again or to refer her to others.”

“Amy is great! Our two small dogs instantly liked her when she came for a preliminary visit, and they definitely enjoyed their time with her during her three-day stay. Amy was reliable, responsive, and sent us nice updates with pictures. She also left our apartment impeccably clean. We will definitely book her again if she’s available!”

“Thank you Kathleen for a great stay with our two pups! We are always a bit uneasy leaving our dogs overnight but there wasn’t a time where we had to feel worried about anything over the past 3 nights! Kathleen sent cute pics and updates of our pups, didn’t mind the occasional behavioral issue and was overall such a great sitter who we’d recommend to anyone!”
“Emily is great! She sent continual updates and pictures throughout her time house sitting. It was clear that besides regular walks she also spent lots of time hanging out and cuddling with my dog, who is very affectionate and needs the attention. Would definitely book again!”

“Hannah was absolutely amazing and took such great care of our dogs while we were away for an extended period. She was so caring, informative, reliable, respectful of the property and more. A truly amazing experience. We will definitely use Hannah again!”

Inner Harbor pet parents share their Rover experiences
We have never used a sitter in our house before our dogs before but thought we should try it because one of our dogs get anxious going to other people's houses. Kathleen was such a great choice in a house/dog sitter. She was communicative, sent plenty of photos of the dogs, and overall went above and beyond in making sure they were well cared for while we were away for the weekend, including administering eyedrops to one of dogs who HATES getting them and walking a tough walker. We would 100% recommend Kathleen and will definitely be requesting her again for future house sits if she is available!

This was our first time using Rover, or any pet sitting service for our newly adopted rescue dog. We had to go out of town to attend a funeral very soon after adopting her. I was very nervous to leave her so soon. But Andrew made it much easier. He came to meet her, and was very professional. He asked questions about her schedule and what he needed to do for her. When I left, I left written instructions for him to keep her on as close of a routine as possible while we were gone. He followed our instructions and communicated with pictures to ease my mind. We came home to a happy and calm dog. I would 100% recommend Andrew if you are in need of a pet sitter. Thanks Andrew!

As helicopter millennial dog parents leaving our senior, velcro pup for the first time since we'd adopted him 6 months ago, we were very nervous. But, Abiyah was a wonderful sitter who communicated multiple times a day with photos and videos. Zeus was well taken care of and we would absolutely book with Abiyah again for future trips!

SJ is hands down the best pup sitter you could ever hope to find. From the very beginning, they were patient, attentive, and incredibly understanding of my sweet (but anxious and slightly reactive) dog, Rex. It’s not easy trusting someone with a pup who has a few quirks but SJ handled everything with such calm confidence and genuine care. Rex warmed up to SJ almost instantly, which honestly says everything. By the end, it was clear he wasn’t just “being watched” he was cared for, understood, and loved. We will absolutely be booking with SJ again and again. If you’re even thinking about it, just do it. Your pet will thank you.
