Caring, experienced, & thoughtful
I am a natural caretaker and love caring for pets of my own and my friends and family. I have cared for pets for most of my life and am excited to offer my services to pet owners. As of October 2026, I have completed over 250 rover bookings, and am excited to keep caring for animals in my community! I have two cats who are the best of friends, and are all play and affection. I also help my family care for their dog Isabella, a 7 year old terrier/lab mix who loves going on long walks with me and throwing the ball in the yard. She had a partner until recently named Chico, a greyhound/lab mix, who was full of affection and had some arthritis in his back legs that required extra care. My mom is handicapped so I supported her in getting him extra equipment, driving him to and from the vet, and exercising him regularly within his movement range. Before this, I cared for our family dog, a yellow lab named Lilly, from middle school through high school and college. I help a roommate of mine with her cat Lela, a talkative and sassy lady who started coming into my room for morning cuddles and talks. We also had two cats when I was young, Precious and Cokey, who tolerated me smothering them with love in the way kids do.

Schedule
I currently work remotely most of the week with a lot of flexibility, and am committed some weekend nights to event management work. My schedule allows for decent flexibility which is helpful for daytime care or weekend trips.

I own my home and am happy to host pets at my house that can get along well with cats. I have two cats at home who are pretty comfortable with dogs as long as they get along well with cats.

A typical day
I love taking long walks with dogs, and depending on comfort level of the owner love to take dogs on local trails for a long walk and fresh air. I’m really focused on making sure dogs are well exercised when I watch them, I think it helps them with being away from their owners and is also a good bonding activity to build their trust in me. I especially want to return an animal to their owners well exercised so that they are settled when owners return from their trip.

- I usually want to know any training or routines the dog already has so I can follow suit, and anything special to know about how they behave on a walk so I can make sure they’re safe. I also want to know the dogs preferences so I can form a bond with them so they can trust me, or if I need to watch for any escape acts or other challenges to make sure I’m keeping them safe throughout the walk or visit. Any creature comforts to know about are always helpful!
