I am busy with walks and drop ins most days of the week. When providing house-sitting, my rate includes time with them in the morning and evening or afternoon, plus an overnight. If your pet could benefit from a longer amount of care or a 24/7 presence, let me know and we can talk about adjusting my nightly rate to carve out those days of availability from my schedule.

Information Ned B. would like to know about your pet

I ask that all dogs be house trained, and past their first birthday. I'm not equipped to handle aggressive dogs, or dogs over 40 lbs who pull on a leash, even if they usually listen to commands, or those with major separation anxiety and behavioral issues, as much as I might care about them and love them. Keep in mind that being honest about this will ensure the best possible care for you and your furry friend.

A typical day

Depending on the pet, a typical day could involve a nice walk, throwing tennis balls around the backyard, tiring them out with a laser pointer, or simply spending quality time with them and showing them some affection.

Sweet, attentive animal-lover!

Pet care experience

My clients over the past few years have been a mix of large and small, but I'm particularly fond of the little guys and spending quality time with the quiet, sweet ones. Playful, bossy chihuahuas have stolen my heart. A client of mine said her cats acted like they hadn't been gone a day - that's what I strive for! I'm comfortable with senior pups, and those that need to take medication or be given a little extra love. I've given grumpy cats anxiety pills, hidden arthritis meds in chicken for the smart pups, etc. Although Rover is dog-focused, I also care for cats, plants, and small pets like mice and hamsters too. I've owned cats most of my life, and volunteered at Crash's Landing & Big Sid's shelter. I'm LGBTQIA+ affirming, respecting of all people, etc. Personally, I think letting someone into your home is an act of trust, so I strive to show the utmost respect to you, your pets, and your house, to give you peace of mind while you're away. I have one sweet little cat named Lily (in my profile picture) and she is my everything.

Ned was absolutely wonderful! He took such great care of our cats, and sent us daily updates/photos that put our minds at ease so we could enjoy our vacation. We came home to 2 happy, relaxed cats and a tidy house. We highly recommend Ned and will hire him again! Thank you!

Ned did a great job taking care of our cat Emmi while we were away. He was very caring and kept us posted with lots of pictures. He was also very responsive if anything came up. I can only recommend him if you are looking for a cat sitter!
