About: Cats and dogs have been part of my everyday life since childhood. Today my wife and I share our home with two cats and two dogs — so your pet is joining a household that already speaks their language. I've cared for family members' and friends' animals through house sitting, in-home drop-ins, feeding, walks, and play — at my place and at theirs. Laid-back, attentive, and genuinely passionate about animals. Pet care is my full-time focus right now. While I take cybersecurity courses and work toward a new career in tech, my days are built around home — which means your pet gets consistent, attentive care every single day of the week. I am available for both daycare and boarding seven days a week with no gaps in availability. A typical day looks like this: Meals Three feeding periods — morning, midday, and evening — keep pets on a consistent routine throughout the day. Walks Dogs go out 6 to 7 times a day, roughly every 3 hours, so there are no long stretches of waiting — they stay active and comfortable all day long. Cat play Cats enjoy one to two dedicated play sessions each day to keep them stimulated and engaged. My home is a pet-friendly, well-organized space designed with animal comfort and safety in mind. Here's what you can expect: Resident dogs Two friendly small dogs — a Pomeranian and a Chihuahua — live in the home and are great companions for visiting dogs. They've spent time at doggy daycare themselves and are comfortable and experienced around other dogs, which helps guests settle in faster. Cats in the home There are cats in the household. Baby gates are in place throughout the home to create separated zones as needed, keeping cats and dogs comfortable and giving everyone their own space to decompress. Yard & outdoor time My yard is not fenced, so all outdoor time is leashed. With 6 to 7 walks a day, dogs get more than enough fresh air and exercise — and they're never left unattended outside. Crating A small dog crate is available if a pet is crate-trained or needs a quiet retreat. I'm also happy to use a crate provided by the owner if your dog is more comfortable in their own space.

We had a great experience with Yeji! She took wonderful care of our cats and followed all of our instructions perfectly, including their different feeding routines. She was reliable, communicative, and made it easy for us to enjoy our trip without worrying about the cats. We came home to two happy, well-cared-for cats. We would absolutely book with her again!

About: I used to work for a family that had a young high energy golden retriever and it was the best! I was able to provide the needs the family asked me for which included walking him, feeding him, giving him attention, and putting him in the kennel for bed. They also had a cat and I was able to care for her too, so I have experience with working with 2 animals at once. On top of that, I also have a cat and a dog of my own so I am very used to being with animals in the home and providing proper care for them. I am a college student who is home for the summer, and I am currently unemployed so I am extremely flexible! I would like to prioritize being a caregiver for pets before I go back to school to save some money for college. I am able to offer whatever care is needed for your animals. I am extremely flexible when it comes to pet owners expectations and needs, so that everyone is satisfied and happy!

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs of all sizes, including my two cats and my 80 lb English yellow lab. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love getting to know each pet’s unique personality, needs, and routines. I’m patient, attentive, and dependable, and I like to think I have a special connection with animals and an instinct for understanding what makes them feel comfortable, safe, and happy. Whether your pet loves playtime, long walks, cuddles, or simply calm companionship, I’ll make sure they feel cared for and loved while you’re away. I’m available for dog walks and drop-in visits for cats and dogs, and I treat every pet like family! Lastly, I am also comfortable giving pets medications as my dog Gigi has allergies and takes some medication and supplements. Also I have had to give medicines for multiple cats over the years including inhaler treatments. Currently my elderly cat Mrs. Norris is 17 and living with cancer. She is taking a few medicines to keep her comfortable before it’s time. We have lots of snuggles on her heated blanket, look out the window and bask in the sun. I understand the extra care and love your older animal needs. I look forward to getting know your fur babies!! You could say: Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I am currently home while my children are out of school. I genuinely enjoy caring for animals and have the time and flexibility to provide consistent attention, exercise, feeding, companionship, and general care throughout the day. Caring for pets complements my lifestyle and is something I find both rewarding and fulfilling. I care for pets by following their regular routine, including feeding, providing fresh water, exercise, potty breaks, playtime, and lots of attention. I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow all instructions provided, keep the home tidy, and provide updates so owners know their pets are doing well. I am dependable, attentive, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals.

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats my entire life and understand the love, patience, and responsibility that go into caring for pets. As a pet owner myself, I have a high-energy terrier who keeps me active with daily walks, playtime, and lots of attention, so I’m comfortable caring for dogs with a variety of energy levels and personalities. I’m responsible, dependable, have my own reliable transportation, and maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate your pet’s needs. I also enjoy spending time with cats and other pets and believe every animal deserves compassionate, attentive care. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or simply keeping your pet company while you’re away, I’ll treat them like they’re part of my own family. I am currently going to school part time, my schedule is very flexible and I can be available anytime on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Weekends. Brooke took care of our cat Garfield while we attended our son's wedding in Virginia; it's been several years since we had a sitter. No worries. Brooke arrived on time, did everything we asked, and texted us a picture/update at each visit. She is now Garfield's new friend. Highly recommend her for your pet-sitting needs.

About: I’ve had dogs all my life and currently my parents will leave their dogs in my care when they go out of town. I also used to watch my friend’s dogs in college whenever they needed to go home! One of my favorite things to do in college was to walk the dogs at the humane society and we even had an event to walk dogs with other people in greek life on campus! I am very flexible when it comes to routine, i would structure my schedule around what you would prefer! I am able to do weekdays and weekends! I walk my dogs in the early morning but I would able to adjust based on your personal schedule! Pets are a part of a family! I would take the best care i could to make sure they are happy and healthy throughout the time they are in my care!

About: I'm a certified cat lady with a great understanding and love of our doggo friends too. 10+ years of experience living with and caring for dogs and cats. Our dogs always seek me out for walks because they find walks with me so fun! I have great skill dealing with special needs pets: administering medications (like giving my diabetic cat insulin shots), and reading pet body language to meet their comfort needs. I'm currently working part-time so I'll have plenty of time to check in and play with your pups and/or kitties! I'm available on weekends at 11am or later. Since our home is already full of cats and a dog, I am only offering services at clients homes or dog walking at this time. I will start each session by patiently gaining trust with your pet, with gentle greetings and allowing them to get comfortable first. Please include any special needs for pet care when reaching out.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Friendship choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in West Friendship with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Friendship. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
