About: With over 10 years of pet care experience, I provide personalized attention and care tailored to each pet's unique needs. I've successfully raised three well-behaved puppies, teaching them essential skills like leash walking and basic commands. I'm skilled at recognizing individual pets' personalities, quirks, and habits, and providing gentle exercise, playtime, and specialized care as needed. Your beloved companion will receive the love, attention, and expert care they deserve. As a stay-at-home mom, I've got plenty of time to hang out with furry friends. My two dogs keep me company, and we spend our days playing and chillin' in our big backyard. I'm all about providing a comfy and loving space for pets to relax and have fun. Your pet is welcome to join the crew and get all the snuggles and playtime they deserve! When pets stay with me, they get to enjoy the ultimate flex: coming and going to our fenced yard as they please through the doggy door. My securely fenced backyard is their playground, and they can soak up sunshine and fresh air whenever the mood strikes. I'm all about keeping things consistent, so I stick to a routine that includes scheduled meal times, two daily walks, and plenty of playtime and snuggles. Whether we're hanging at my place or yours, I've got everything covered to ensure a happy, relaxed experience for your furry friend.

Linda has been walking our 1 year old puppy for a few months now and we couldn't be happier so far. After having a really bad experience with a walker on this app, we were nervous to let someone back in. She is personable, kind, and easygoing. Very responsive and agreeable even when I mess up my own schedule. We were worried our puppy would be too much but she has big dogs and does a good job of handling his energy positively.

About: I have been caring for my own pets for 10+ years and could like to get into formal care. I have also pet sat for my friends and family in the past. As of now I am available daily for pet sitting or walking. I don’t mind waking up early. Would prefer not to be out too late alone. I like to hang out with my dog and take him for walks. He’s pretty lazy though so we just sit together a lot of the time. I will follow any instructions you leave.

About: I am a lifelong pet owner and animal lover with over 25 years of caregiving experience. I have had dogs almost continuously since kindergarten ranging in size from a 5 lb poodle mix (Trooper) to a 95 lb yellow lab (Nala), in addition to 3 years as a parent to 2 cats, Jules and Gemini. Jules was with us only briefly due to her advanced age when she was adopted, while Gemini is a much younger kitten who wasted no time claiming my home as her own. I also recently lost my 10 year old corgi (Sadie) unexpectedly to an extremely aggressive form of cancer, and so would love the opportunity to spend some therapeutic time with your furry kid. Prior to beginning work through Rover, I have several years of experience caring for cats and dogs for a variety of friends, family, and neighbors including everything from drop-in visits and dog walking to full-time house/petsitting. Outside of my petsitting duties, I am a PhD chemist working hard to make the battery in your phone last longer and your electric car drive further. My wife and I moved to the Silver Spring area in 2024 for her job as a television producer and I am in the process of establishing myself in the DMV research community. Availability: Except in special cases, I am available for booking at any time of day, any day of the week. I am happy to provide everything from drop-in visits to extended overnight stays. I am currently working part-time from home, so I am excited to have the opportunity to care for your pets at any time! This can include drop-in visits to your home, overnight stays with your fur baby, and day-care or boarding at my home (as long as they're friendly with my cat Gemini). I am glad to visit your home as frequently as you prefer. All visits will include checks for water quantity and freshness, any prescribed food refills or walks, and of course play time. I'm also happy to provide overnight care for your pets and home if preferred, please send me a message if you are interested in more long-term visits. I'm also very happy to host your pets in my own home! I have plenty of room for cats and dogs up to 50-70 lbs. Both my wife and I have had pets our entire lives and between the two of us, someone is nearly always home to supervise and provide any needed care. Since I live in an apartment complex, I do not have a private yard but do have plenty of communal space for walks and other outdoor activity.

About: Lifelong dog lover who grew up with a playful Bichon! Experienced caring for both small and large breeds through dog walking and pet sitting for friends (anything from German Shepherds to Maltipoos). I also have experience caring for puppies as well as older, blind, and sick dogs, and I understand the extra patience, attention, and care they require. I recently graduated from college and currently babysit part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule throughout the week. I’m a morning person who loves getting outside early, and I try to walk 10,000–20,000 steps every day. I genuinely enjoy long walks, staying active, and spending time outdoors, so pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I prioritize making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own environment. I’m happy to provide dog walking services and spend time playing with and caring for pets in clients’ homes while following their normal routines and any special instructions. At this time, I do not offer boarding or pet care in my own home.

About: I genuinely love dogs and enjoy adapting to each dog’s personality and needs. I’m a very active person who loves being outdoors, so I’m always happy to go on long walks, play, and keep energetic dogs engaged. At the same time, I’m patient and calm, which helps dogs feel comfortable and relaxed. Whether your dog wants an adventure or just a companion to hang out with, I’m happy to be exactly what they need. As a recent college grad, I currently have a very flexible schedule, and I am taking some time during the summer before starting the next chapter of my career pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I enjoy spending time with animals and being outdoors whether it’s going for walks playing or simply keeping a pet company care for animals is something I find rewarding and look forward to. When caring for pets, I like to follow the routine they are already used to so they feel safe and comfortable. I thrive with structure, so I appreciate clear instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, medications for feeding, or any special needs. Whether I’m caring for a pet in my home or in their home, my goal is to be present, attentive, and give them the care they need.

Camilla has been such a wonderful pleasure to work with. I had no doubt my fur baby was in good hands from the first day they walked together & I saw the pictures. Camilla also came to the rescue when a family member was locked out and I contacted her panicking to see if she would please help. On her OFF day!!! I know that I won’t want to work with anyone but her. She’s attentive and took care of my dog like she was her own. Thank you again, Camilla! You’ve been a God send! 🤍

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
