“Robert had impeccable communication and was flexible with our schedule. We really appreciated the thorough updates and pictures from each drop-in visit. We would definitely use him again!”

“Sabine did an amazing job caring for my kitty, Ruby, during a 3 day trip. She texted me throughout and left very thorough summaries after each visit. The best part was that Ruby took to Sabine so quickly! Sabine seems to have a energy that animals seem to love, even my shy girl Ruby. I would definitely ask Sabine to watch after Ruby again in the future.”

“She was great, reliable and was very flexible and went beyond what I asked her to do as we got a new pet parrot thrown in with our two cats. I would definitely book her again!”

“Aaron did a great job. Helped me out last minute which was appreciated. Was able to operate well without a meet and greet, so he's obviously skilled with dogs. He made sure our outside cat was feed and communicated very well for the duration of his support.”

“Tiffany was very sweet, and beyondf helpful! We got multiple pictures everytime that she stopped by! She communicated with me through every step from booking to her last visit with our animal! She was wonderful!”

About: I’ve been a lifelong pet owner and have always had a genuine love for animals. I’ve cared for my mother’s and sister’s dogs, as well as my neighbor’s cat, giving me experience with different personalities and care routines. I treat every pet as if they were my own and understand how important they are to their families. Whether it’s a playful puppy, a senior pet, or a shy cat, I’m committed to providing patient, reliable, and loving care. My schedule is very flexible, allowing me to provide attentive care and accommodate your pet’s routine. I do train mixed martial arts in the evenings, but I have plenty of availability throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, and quality time with your best friend. I care for every pet as if they were my own by following their normal routine as closely as possible. I make sure they have fresh food and water, regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and plenty of attention. I also take pride in keeping their environment clean, respecting your home, and providing regular updates so you can feel confident while you’re away. My goal is to create a safe, comfortable, and stress-free experience for your pet in the place they know best.
“Adalyn did a fantastic job taking care of 2 stray cats that I feed daily. She followed every instruction I left and went above and beyond to make sure that their feeding space was clean and they had fresh food and water daily. I’m so grateful for her help.”

“Emily has provided pet sitting services for my cat Honey a number of times. Honey is a shy kitty and will go into hiding when anyone other than me enters the home. Emily brought treats with her to gain her trust. I feel comfortable leaving now that I know Honey will not only have her physical needs taken care of but also some affection from a sitter she trusts.”

About: I’m from the south so my grandparents would always have different animals in the backyard. We’ve even had a goat before! I’ve always been there to help family and friends with taking care of their pets. I’ve also had an internship at a hospital and I’m going into my 4-year on the pre-med track! I am currently an incoming freshman so I will be free all summer and I’m trying to find ways to fill up my extra time. Anytime I’m at a friends house and they have pets I always say hello and give them love. I will always love and treat animals with respect, while also giving them a safe environment.

“Christine was great. She set up a pre-visit to meet Duke before the official visits started. During the visit she constantly updated me about how Duke was doing. She even watered my plants for me! Overall she was awesome”

“Thanks for checking in on Katy. We loved the backyard video. We were able to enjoy a day in NYC knowing she was fed and cared for . All instructions were followed to a T. You're at the top of our list for daycare. We know Katy is a bit fearful and wary of strangers. Thanks for your pleasant and caring manner. See you again.”

“Ashley met me outside. She was very professional and calm with our little dog who is not socialized and is very nippy and skittish. She did a very good job handling her thank you very much.”

About: I’ve been around animals since I was in diapers! My parents even got a puppy the week I was born, so I’ve only known life with the unconditional love of our fur babies. From ages 10-16, I trained dogs with my dad! I’ve trained puppies the basics of potty training, junior dogs their special tricks, and even senior dogs on positive house behavior. I just recently lost my rescue pup, he was 6 when I rescued him and passed at 11. I also grew up with cats from the age of 10, my parents had 5 indoor cats and one outdoor cat. I have a lot of experience with the tricky art of administering various types of medication to dogs and cats, as well as taking care of their physical health and of course their cuddle needs. I have experience caring for senior dogs and senior cats, I’ve got a special place in my heart for our senior babies <3 I love being around animals so I wouldn’t mind taking your fur baby out for their afternoon walk or just hanging out anytime of the day. I am interested in providing services such as - walks, play times, park visits, or just plain hanging out! My cat and I’s favorite pastime is to sit and watch the birds outside, making that cute little “kekeke” noise they do. My dog and I’s favorite past time was hiking our neighborhood trail - rain or shine! And I’ll treat your fur babies like my own!
“Faith did an amazing job taking care of my husky, Bruce, while I was on vacation. Her experience with dogs, especially energetic breeds like huskies, was evident right away. She kept me updated with photos and messages, showing Bruce happy and well-exercised. Faith’s professionalism and genuine love for animals gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I returned to a very happy dog and couldn’t be more grateful! Highly recommend Faith for anyone needing a reliable and caring dog walker.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fort Meade. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
