Pet care experience

Loving care when you are not there!

Hi! I’m Rachel, a lifelong pet owner and passionate animal caregiver. I’ve had animals my entire life and currently volunteer with Last Chance Animal Rescue, where I help with daily care and adoptions. This hands-on experience has strengthened my understanding of animal behavior and the individual needs of each pet. I’m comfortable with all sizes and breeds—from tiny lap dogs to big, bouncy pups. I’m experienced with special needs dogs, including those requiring medication, and have a solid understanding of puppy care and basic dog training. High-energy dogs? No problem, I enjoy working with active pups who need extra playtime or exercise. I use dehydrated beef lung treats, which are allergy-friendly and loved by just about every dog I meet. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priorities. Whether your furry friend needs a calm companion or a playful partner, I’m here to give them the care they deserve while you’re away.

Safety, trust & environment

In addition to Rover’s Pet Guarantee, I am fully insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates. My coverage includes liability up to $1,000,000 per occurrence, plus protections for pets in my care, client property, lost keys, and more—giving you extra peace of mind while your pets are with me. Your pet’s safety and well-being are always my top priority. I’m confident working with animals of all sizes, breeds, and abilities, and I’m able to follow all care instructions carefully—even complex routines or special needs. Meet and greets are mandatory for all new clients, in their home, to ensure we are all a good fit. My first meet and greet is complimentary, and will last no more than 30 minutes. I believe in clear, open communication. You can expect multiple updates throughout the day, including messages, photos, and any important observations. I also prefer to stick as closely as possible to your pet’s normal routine, as consistency helps them feel comfortable and secure while you're away. For transparency and peace of mind on both sides, I kindly ask that all clients: *Disclose any cameras (indoor or outdoor), as required by Rover’s policies *Inform me of any issues with the home or yard, such as damaged fencing or restricted areas *Be open about any behavioral challenges—I can handle most situations if I’m informed ahead of time *Share any medical needs, allergies, and provide your vet’s contact information in case of emergencies *Check in with me upon your return, so I know you made it home safe and sound and your pet has someone there to care for them.

House Sitting • Jul 08, 2026

We hired Rachel to help while we were away for several days. I was nervous to leave, as my dog is very old and needs a lot of help (namely with getting up onto his hind legs). Rachel was wonderful with him and took the time (through two pre-visits) to meet Parker and understand his needs. She kept me updated every day with pictures and updates. She was also kind enough to check on our house after a huge storm rolled through the area. I highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and compassionate sitter who will treat your pet(s) like their own.

Great job! Thanks for watching the kids. Water, food and litter were taken care of and Callie made a new play friend.

Rachel was outstanding with her care of our cat Calvin who is diabetic but in remission. She checked his sugar levels every 2-3 days to make sure his levels were in the normal range, was on time, and sent plenty of pictures and videos. This allowed our family to relax and enjoy our 10 day vacation stress-free. Can't recommend Rachel enough to watch your pet.

House Sitting • Jun 24, 2026

Rachel did an amazing job with our dog Murphy while we were away for the weekend. Murphy can be particular with who he gets along with and they hit it off great. She also kept an eye on the house by bringing in a package, shutting off a water valve on a toilet that was running, and watering some plants while we were away. Our flight got delayed for 4 hours and she was able to do his night meal and pills so he wouldn’t be delayed. She sent great updates throughout the day and pictures. Being newer to the area it can be stressful to find a new dog sitter so I am so thankful we found someone trustworthy and who gets along great with our boy.

Schedule

I have a flexible schedule and am typically available between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM, but I’m always happy to adjust as needed to fit your pet’s routine. I’m also available on weekends and most holidays, making it easy to find care when you need it most. House sitting includes both daytime drop-ins and an overnight stay. While I do care for multiple clients, your pet will rarely be left alone for more than 4 hours. If your pet requires constant supervision and cannot be left alone, I’m happy to discuss a dedicated care plan and adjusted rate to meet their needs. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my priority! I do enjoy traveling from time to time, so there may be occasional extended periods of unavailability, but I keep my calendar current so you can plan ahead with confidence.
