While my headline seems odd, it's true! I have been looking after pets for over 20 years. At 12 years old I started dog sitting for a few neighbors and by the time I was 14 I had regular daily dog walking jobs lined up. I later became a Veterinary Assistant but my husband's job took us out of the area. I continued pet sitting and each and every pet I met over the years solidified my love for animals. I adore meeting pets, their people and working with each unique pet personality. Eventually I found an amazing pet rescue to volunteer with and I became a foster parent for pets looking for their forever homes. I fostered over 75 cats/kittens and around 10 dogs/puppies. During this time I continued a much needed low cost pet sitting business for my neighborhood and donated a portion of the proceeds back into the rescue. I had an amazing time connecting with my community and providing them a very needed, affordable service. We moved again a few years ago and while I still work with the rescue online, I am missing your pets!! I'd love to start meeting them and help ease some of the worry that leaving a pet alone can bring. I'm a stay at home mom so my availability is very flexible. I'm an avid walker and with 2 very old dachshunds who can no longer keep up and I would adore a four legged friend to walk with me! (I do have access to Fort Meade) I care for your pets as I do my own. Always checking to be sure they feel safe and secure. Playing with them or just sitting and talking with them so they don't feel lonely during the day. I will not allow a pet to be off leash during outings/walks and will always accommodate their normal schedule to the best of my ability.
