“Barbara was very easy to work with and took great care of my fur baby while I was away. I especially liked that she welcomed us in her home. She was not afraid to show her home and where my dog would be, and eased any worry I may have had. We will definitely use her again.”

“Remunalila was an awesome dog sitter! She looked after both of our senior ladies, provided updates and made sure they were comfortable and happy. Would absolutely rebook her in the future!”

“Marliez was great with my Bentlee. She sent plenty of pics and videos. I’m always worried about him being around other dogs because he’s so young but she handled him so well. Def would recommend.”

About: I’ve loved and worked with animals all my life. I graduated from animal behavioral college college as a certified vet assistant. I’ve worked at animal shelters and veterinary offices. I’ve owned cats and dogs. I work from home so they’re not alone. I want a pet but can’t commit at the moment. So this is the perfect job for me as an animal lover. I get all the hugs and kisses I want. And your pet gets a new best friend. Again, the way will be spoiled. Sorry in advance! I handle all animals with care and respect. I am a certified vat assistant and trained on behaviors, emergencies, and medication administration. They’re in good hands.
“Jessica made me feel comfortable leaving my fur baby with her and she kept me updated on how he was doing the entire time! Great experience for my first time using Rover.”

“Amanda was so great with my nervous girl Xena, she provided a safe, loving home for her to stay in. Amanda was also amazing with providing detailed updates and photos. I would give 10 stars if I could.”

“Jasmine was able to fit us in last minute. She was great with our golden retriever. We received updates and our pup was calm and happy when we picked her up. Will use her services again!”

“Ahhhmazing!!! Michelle will absolutely be our go to dog sitter! Oliver is still a puppy so he is high energy and still working on his potty training. This was our first time using rover and his first time away from us. Michelle took care of him above and beyond our expectations! She sent us model pictures of him daily (much better than he lets us take of him, so we have new profile pics of him, lol!) She provided daily updates with the pics too, all of which gave us complete peace of mind! We couldn’t have had a better experience and that made our vacation that much more relaxing. We are extremely thankful to Michelle for treating Oliver like her own! 😊”

“Aviah was awesome! Milo had so much fun staying with her. She sent lots of pictures and videos, so we didn't miss him quite so much! I highly recommend Aviah to care for your fur babies.”

“Mady is amazing. I think our golden had more fun on his “vacation” with Mady’s family than we did on ours. This was our first time leaving our boy with anyone ?. Mady communicates flawlessly- many pictures and videos daily showing all the fun they are having. We give her our highest possible recommendation.”

“We absolutely loved Shane and Brittany watching out two Bernedoodles. They took wonderful care of them and treated them like their own pups! We received pictures of the puppies throughout the weekend and saw how much fun they were having. We will definitely be using them again in the future!”

“It is always a little worrisome when you leave your dog with strangers for an entire vacation but I knew Moose was in good hands with Ryan. They were also very flexible with timing of drop off and pick-up. Thank you both!”

“Michelle did a great job watching my little guy Charlie. She went out of her way to make him feel at home. She sent me much-appreciated pics and texts to let me know he was doing fine. I look forward to using her again!”

“Bria and her husband were very pleasant. I had a last-minute trip and we didn’t want to take our dog in the car for that long, so she was a lifesaver! And great communication and very close to my home, so I look forward to booking again. She has a full house with all pups of various sizes and breeds and I was nervous, but he got along with all of them and she checked in 2 to 3 times a day with an update. I will remember to bring his water bottle for his crate next time since he’s usually very thirsty and drank a lot when he got home”

About: Dog mom to a friendly 3-year-old Lab mix and passionate about providing loving, attentive care. I’ve owned a dog for the past 12 years, but grew up caring for my friends and neighbors pets. Your pup will enjoy plenty of attention, walks on the Baltimore & Annapolis Trail, or relaxed time in our fenced backyard. Whether they’re young and energetic or a senior who prefers a slower pace, I’ll treat them like family and care for them as if they were my own. For boarding, during the work week we are not home from 8:30-2:30. We will be home all day on the weekends. For walking and drop ins, I am available in the afternoon and evening during the week, all day on the weekends. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. We have a secure fenced-in backyard where dogs can safely play, explore, and enjoy time outdoors. We have indoor cameras to monitor the house while we are at work. Our friendly 3-year-old Lab mix loves meeting new canine friends and provides great companionship for visiting dogs. I carefully supervise all interactions and make sure each dog feels comfortable in our home. We have an 11 year old and 6 year old that both grew up with a dog and are very caring and respectful of boundaries. They will be supervised while with your dog. Whether your pup enjoys active play, relaxing in the yard, or extra attention and cuddles, they’ll be treated like a member of the family in a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment.
“Kiki was amazing with my corgi pup, Mushu! She's a true professional and kept me updated every day with adorable photos and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind during Mushu's first extended boarding stay. It was clear that Mushu was happy, well cared for, and having a great time. Mushu and I can't wait to book with Kiki again!”

“Nekia was great with Missy and I will be booking with her in the future. She kept us posted with updates and lovely pictures. I know Missy really enjoyed her stay with Nekia and her family. She told me Missy really loved playing with her dog and her daughter also loved hanging out with Missy.”

“Sharon agreed to watch our very large greyhound who is a bit of an anxious pup— Sharon was great with communication and sent many updates of our girl while we were away. She took great care of Piper— We already booked Piper for her next vacation with Sharon. :)”

“James did an excellent job watching over my 5 year old pitbull/german short hair fur baby! I was so worried when I first was looking for someone to take care of her because she’s so hyper, but as soon as I arrived at the house I knew that she was in good hands! Lots of space for dogs to play and the backyard was incredible. He sent me tons of pictures and kept me updated on how she was doing. I know she was taken good care of and we will definitely be reaching out to James again in the future!”

Rhonda, Paul and their own "fur kids" were so wonderful with Finn. He so enjoyed playing with the other pups...and Rhonda took great pictures and gave us daily updates----we knew we had left Finn in a safe and loving environment. Finn can't wait to go back! Thank you for everything!
Tom & Aimee took great care of our dog, communicated well, and sent pictures. We felt assured that our dog was safe and happy with a sweet family while we were away. Their neighborhood was lovely and their backyard was fenced and a great place for a dog to run around. We would use them again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
