“Barbara was absolutely what I had been searching for. I wanted someone to care for Bentley as if he was their own. I needed to have a person that understands pups that are somewhat privileged (spoiled). Bentley was cared for and loved on and was never exposed to danger. Barbara cared for Bentkey so well that he became possessive when her when her pup Justice wanted her attention. Barbara is an A1 sitter and I would use her again.”

“I love Maria she was so attentive to our lil peanut and you can tell she loves animals. When we picked him up she was so concerned about the tears in his eyes that she kept trying to clean it. I will definately be using her again and loved that she cared for our lil family member like he was her own.”

“Sandra was very nice and took excellent care of our two dogs. She worked really hard to take care of our Bernadedoodle who was away from home for the first time. We are so glad we chose Sandra for this!”

“Eli was awesome! My dog is somewhat shy but she took to Eli right away. Eli picked my furbaby up and once he was back to his home he sent a picture of my pooch and where she had her kennel setup. Skittles was able sit and stare out the windows, which she loves to do. I received plenty of pictures to put me at ease. Eli also had a camera setup so I could see my dog if I wanted!!! I’m super happy with Eli as he was on time for pickup and drop off and overall is a very nice person! I will definitely board my dog with Eli again!!!!”

“Leia was living her best life like she was at a pet resort. Marliez treated Leia like her own with great care and attention, making her feel right at home. I received regular updates and photos, which gave me complete peace of mind! I’d definitely rebook with Marliez. Leia has 3 new friends and thinks she’s the boss of cats now!!”

“Aviah was great with Gracie! I really appreciated the daily pictures and videos. It put my mind at ease knowing that she was having fun and well taken care of while I was out of the country. My flight was delayed and Aviah was flexible and able to keep her an extra night which was one less thing for me to worry about. I'm soooo relieved that I've found someone local that I can book for whenever I travel. Definitely interested in daycare services now. Thanks Aviah!”

“Charve was great watching our dog while we were away! She is very easy to deal with, pleasant and helpful, reliable and great communication. We would definitely use her as a dog sitter again!”

“Kiki dog sat my little man for 2 days. Within the two days I received picture and video updates. My dog Ace literally was all smiles when I went to pick him up ! I am very grateful for the kindness and love Kiki showed to Ace while I was away. I will definitely be booking again, and I highly recommend her to everyone with a 4 legged bestie !”

“Ruby had a great time and got plenty of attention, playtime and outdoor activity during her stay. Many pictures and updates were shared to reassure us that things were going well during a multi-day stay.”

About: I’m a proud dog parent to Moonie, my very smart 3 year old Maltipoo, and I also live with a 4 year old Pomeranian — so yes, my house is basically dog approved. I love walks, dog parks, treats, and teaching Moonie new tricks. I’ll treat your pup like family, with lots of love, patience, and probably a few compliments ❤️🥰💕 I work in the office some days, but I’m mostly remote and home with the pups. There’s always time for potty breaks, playtime, little backyard zoomies, and cuddle breaks.. so basically, the dogs have a better schedule than we do 😂 I live in a townhouse with a small backyard — perfect for quick potty breaks or a little zoomies session. My neighborhood is safe and great for walks. I always clean paws after potty breaks, keep fresh pee pads available and changed daily, and yes… dogs are allowed on the furniture.
About: Dog mom to a friendly 3-year-old Lab mix and passionate about providing loving, attentive care. I’ve owned a dog for the past 12 years, but grew up caring for my friends and neighbors pets. Your pup will enjoy plenty of attention, walks on the Baltimore & Annapolis Trail, or relaxed time in our fenced backyard. Whether they’re young and energetic or a senior who prefers a slower pace, I’ll treat them like family and care for them as if they were my own. For boarding, during the work week we are not home from 8:30-2:30. We will be home all day on the weekends. For walking and drop ins, I am available in the afternoon and evening during the week, all day on the weekends. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. We have a secure fenced-in backyard where dogs can safely play, explore, and enjoy time outdoors. We have indoor cameras to monitor the house while we are at work. Our friendly 3-year-old Lab mix loves meeting new canine friends and provides great companionship for visiting dogs. I carefully supervise all interactions and make sure each dog feels comfortable in our home. We have an 11 year old and 6 year old that both grew up with a dog and are very caring and respectful of boundaries. They will be supervised while with your dog. Whether your pup enjoys active play, relaxing in the yard, or extra attention and cuddles, they’ll be treated like a member of the family in a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment.
“I have never left my kitty before so I was a little nervous! Sabrina and Ryan sent pics and notes almost everyday showing how well he was doing in their care. He was very relaxed and comfortable in their home. I was so relieved, they were amazing. I also ran into some travel issues coming home and they were very accommodating with the pick up schedule. I would definitely use them again!!”

“Ahhhmazing!!! Michelle will absolutely be our go to dog sitter! Oliver is still a puppy so he is high energy and still working on his potty training. This was our first time using rover and his first time away from us. Michelle took care of him above and beyond our expectations! She sent us model pictures of him daily (much better than he lets us take of him, so we have new profile pics of him, lol!) She provided daily updates with the pics too, all of which gave us complete peace of mind! We couldn’t have had a better experience and that made our vacation that much more relaxing. We are extremely thankful to Michelle for treating Oliver like her own! 😊”

“Michelle was caring and really helpful on making our dogs feel at ease at her home. Sent us a bunch of pictures everyday and kept us informed on how the dogs were doing. I would definitely recomend her.”
“James was so great with our pup! We are usually wary of having others watch her due to her unsureness with new people and other dogs, but James took such amazing care of her! She got all the care and attention she could possibly want during her time with him, and James kept us informed the whole length of her stay. We highly recommend James!”

“Late review, but Bria was amazing and took great care of my puppers while I went on vacation. She consistently updated me and took plenty of photos of my dog trying to get accustomed to the new environment. I provided Bria with essential instructions and tips, and she followed them to the best of her ability. I would recommend using her services to watch your pet, as I plan to use her again :) thank you Bria for everything.”

“Jessica was wonderful with our cat! Our little old lady kitty is 18 years old and requires some special daily attention to make sure she’s happy and healthy, and Jessica was able to not only keep up with her special needs but also make sure she was comfortable and happy in a new environment. She also sent daily updates with pictures! She made me feel completely comfortable while being away from our girl, and took a huge worry off our plate while we were traveling. Because of all of this, Jessica is our go-to sitter for our old lady kitty. I highly recommend this sitter!”

“Katie and her husband Anthony were the perfect hosts for our Sadie girl! She had so much fun and many cuddles (her favorite). Katie was very responsive, easy to book with and schedule a meet & greet, and sent us updates every day. We definitely plan to have her care for Sadie again!”

“Always amazing to have Nekia keep Jackson. He is like part of the family and I would continue to go back. She’s flexible, considerate, provides feedback and tips that she notices about Jackson’s behavior and well being. I would recommend her to anyone!”

Rhonda, Paul and their own "fur kids" were so wonderful with Finn. He so enjoyed playing with the other pups...and Rhonda took great pictures and gave us daily updates----we knew we had left Finn in a safe and loving environment. Finn can't wait to go back! Thank you for everything!
Tom & Aimee took great care of our dog, communicated well, and sent pictures. We felt assured that our dog was safe and happy with a sweet family while we were away. Their neighborhood was lovely and their backyard was fenced and a great place for a dog to run around. We would use them again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
