“Talia took great care of my cats, and the super shy one came out to see her! She even brought in a couple packages that were delivered, so they weren't sitting on the porch. I am so thankful for her help.”

About: Hi! I’m Julia 😊☀️ For as long as I can remember, I’ve been surrounded by dogs. Growing up, I had all kinds—from dachshunds and pit bulls to Australian Shepherds and lovable mutts—and I’ve fallen in love with each and every one. I’ve previously worked at a veterinary hospital as well as a pet boarding facility, gaining hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds and temperaments. I’m now a stay-at-home mom to two beautiful, animal-loving girls who may occasionally join me. I truly believe dogs are best friends and should be treated as such. You can trust that I will care for your dog as if they were my own. I’m at home every day with my two daughters so I have a wide open schedule. I took a 3 year break from rover to raise my babies and now I’m looking to get back to dog walking! I have a lot of availability and love to be outdoors- rain or shine. I live on a 6 acre farm that has some areas fenced and lots of room for my 2 dogs to run and explore. I love to let any dogs that I watch get out some energy by running and getting to sniff & explore everything in sight.
About: I've grown up surrounded by animals, from little chihuahuas to big dobermans, and from your grumpiest cats to your sweetest ones. My mother loves to tell people I talked to animals before I talked to people. I am able to read and adapt well to your pets needs, providing the proper love and care to satisfy both you and your furbaby! I am a full-time high school student, and will be able to drop by after 3 pm on weekdays and at any time on weekends. I also do have a part-time job for a couple days out of the week but I make sure I'm able to stop by in between school and work to let them out and feed them! I am very good at reading animals, and will give them as much love or space as they want me to! I am very flexible and will provide whatever care you need me to while abiding by the boundaries you and your pet set for me.
“Jazmin has been highly communicative, very proactive, and sent me a lot of photos of the fur babies, which put me at great ease. She’s also been very punctual and checked in with me during the visits. I so appreciate that kind of thoughtful support and strong communication! Will be reaching out to her for future pet care. Thank you, Jazmin!”

“Allison was very responsive and our girls loved her. She sent updates and pictures throughout the visits, which were much appreciated. She was awesome! Our girls seemed very happy when we returned. We would recommend Allison.”
“Jodie is wonderful!! From her initial pet meet-and-greet, to her check-ins while you’re gone, and her follow through after you return- everything is perfect! Thank you, Jodie, for going out of your way to make my fur child so happy while I’m gone! Jodie deserves more than 5 stars!”

About: I’ve been a dog owner for over 10 years, I currently have two dogs and I love them so much. Getting dogs is one of the best decisions I’ve made thus far. This will be the perfect part time job/ extra money for me while caring for doggies that need a little extra love and caring for. I love having pets to care for, as they can be really healing at times we need it the most. They are definitely like mini humans.
“JHahna was fantastic with our pup while we were away. We were so grateful she was able to take care of her last minute. Every drop-in visit, she messaged to see if there were any special requests. She made sure Harlee had plenty of water and food and was well taken care of!”

“Meagan was wonderful! She took care of my 2 cats while I was gone for alittle over a week. She was responsive and easy to communicate with. I really enjoyed her! Will be booking again 😊”

“Emily was great and took excellent care of my two cats while I was away! They were very communicative throughout the entire time and they followed all of my instructions exactly as requested. I really appreciated their reliability and attention to detail. I would definitely trust them again in the future.”

“Miranda did a wonderful job with our boys and kept us posted the whole time with photos and check-ins. The boys probably would have even preferred us to extend our vacation since she spoiled them with so much playtime :)”

“Savannah did a great job getting to know Cody and she took great care of him! She had excellent communication with us throughout the stay and I always felt like my dog was well taken care of. I will book with her again!”

About: Hi! My name is Bria, I’ve raised pups my entire life. I got my first puppy (all black cocker spaniel) on my first birthday and have been in love ever since. I loved her happily her for a long 15 years and have had the pleasure of raising a Bichon, Cockapoo, and now a lovely rescue baby who we think is a lab mix. I will soon be moving into a space where I will be able to house many more pets at once but until then I’ll be happy to care for your pup (or kitty!) while you tend to your life. I have taken all the classes/certificates necessary but I’d be happy to do anything else to make you more comfortable. Thank you for considering me!
“Best cat sitter ever! Michelle went above and beyond. 1000/10 recommend. Our kitties loved her and they’re typically shy. Michelle was attentive, kind, and punctual. She sent the perfect amount of updates and pictures!”

“Sabine did an amazing job caring for my kitty, Ruby, during a 3 day trip. She texted me throughout and left very thorough summaries after each visit. The best part was that Ruby took to Sabine so quickly! Sabine seems to have a energy that animals seem to love, even my shy girl Ruby. I would definitely ask Sabine to watch after Ruby again in the future.”

“Luana helped us with our dog while we were away from home. She is a very lovely person and cares about our best friends ? I will definitely use her service again. She is punctual and always sends pictures of our dog.”

About: I've always loved dogs, but once we got our rescue was able to learn more about dogs. I love to walk and play with him. I've also cared for my aunt and uncle's 3 cats and 2 dogs when they go on week long vacations. Currently live with family and am the favorite aunt to 2 lab mixes 8 and 10 yrs old and a terrier rescue 12 yrs old. These pups are older, and have experience with dealing with older dogs. I work full time with a flexible hybrid schedule and always get in a morning and afternoon walk. Weekends love to go to parks, and being out in nature. Currently not doing boarding services but when house sitting will always ask about areas and furniture pets are allowed on or areas allowed. I've dealt with escape artists, so will be extra vigilant if that's the case. Don't mind letting dogs/cats sleep with me if your pet is used to that.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Millersville
Talia was very accommodating to our requests even though some of them were last minute. She is very thoughtful and sweet. Our pets seemed to have warmed up after the initial meet up. She treated Kuma and Kitty as her own. We’ll definitely hire her again in the future.

This was our first time using Rover, and Allison made it a great experience. She even let us know about and applied the first-time user discount, which we really appreciated. She made us feel completely at ease while we were away. She went above and beyond by playing with them, brushing them, and even giving them fresh water from the sink. She also took great care of our frog. Allison sent pictures and updates every visit, which meant a lot to us. We highly recommend her and hope to hire her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
