I’ve cared for dogs my entire life, including large working breeds, senior dogs, puppies and dogs with medical needs. I’m comfortable managing multiple dogs safely, and tailoring care to each dog’s personality and routine. Lu’s Doggy Watch was inspired by my Doberman, Eero Lucas (“Big Lu”), who recently passed away. After losing him, the house felt far too quiet, and caring for dogs again felt like the right way to honor him. Every dog in my home is treated like family, with a safe, structured environment, a fenced yard with birds and squirrels, plenty of supervised play, walks, pictures and attention! My goal is simple: give you peace of mind knowing your dog is safe, happy, loved, and cared for as if they were my own.

Nicholas was super awesome. My dog took to him right away and Nicholas was just superb with Po. He was very good about sending pictures and just never once made me feel like I was missing anything. I would highly recommend Nicholas and will use him in the future for sure

Nick provided excellent care for Maverick while I had to attend an in-person work meeting for the day. He kept me updated throughout the day, which gave me so much peace of mind, and he sent the best pictures of Maverick enjoying himself. It was clear Maverick was well cared for, comfortable, and happy. I truly appreciate the attention and care Nick provided, especially with Maverick still being a puppy. I would highly recommend Nick to anyone looking for reliable and caring puppy-watching services!

Schedule
Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I work from home and maintain a flexible schedule, allowing me to provide frequent potty breaks, supervised playtime, walks, feeding, and plenty of attention throughout the day. Dogs are rarely left alone for extended periods and are treated like Big Lu, the Doberman who inspired Lu’s Doggy Watch, in other words, part of the family.

Safety and supervision are my top priorities. In my home, dogs are cared for in a clean, comfortable environment with a fully fenced backyard, structured routines, and plenty of attention throughout the day. Dogs are introduced carefully, monitored during play, and separated when needed to ensure everyone remains safe and comfortable. I follow each owner’s instructions for feeding, medication, exercise, and sleeping arrangements, and I provide regular updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind while they’re away.
A typical day
A typical day includes plenty of supervised outdoor time, play sessions, potty breaks, and time to relax indoors. I tailor activities to each dog’s energy level and personality, whether that means playing fetch in the yard, going for walks, working on basic commands, or simply providing companionship and attention. My goal is to keep dogs active, engaged, fed and comfortable while maintaining a structured routine that helps them feel at home.
