About: I have one pet, and I am an aunt to many others! I am no stranger to unique dietary needs (food allergies arose for both my current cat and my former dog). I had a handful of regular house-sitting and drop-in clients before moving to Maryland, including some highly energetic medium dogs, and one small sweet senior dog. I have helped care for my friend’s pittie Piglet since she was a puppy, I was a go-to cat sitter for a number of colleagues at my last job, and I’ve even looked after Guinea pigs and a gerbil. I look forward to meeting your pet, no matter what age or energy level! I work with very flexible hours, which means I am able to check on pets multiple times throughout the day on weekdays if need be. My weekends are typically free all day Sat & Sun! I let pets take the lead on how social they would like to be. My cat tends toward shyness and does not appreciate uninvited touching, while my friend’s dog prefers engaged playtimes with my full attention. I respect pets’ comfort level as well as their routines—if your dog has a very strange or specific release word at mealtime… if your cat demands a particular treat at a particular time of night… let me know, I’ll accommodate!

“Izcali has been great with our two dogs! Both our dogs can be nervous around new people but they took to her very fast. She arrives on schedule each day and takes them out to stretch their legs and potty. She sends us adorable pictures and updates us on what they get up to. Thank you so much for looking after our babies!”

About: As a life-long pet owner I have the experience and patience needed to give your pets the best care and attention no matter their age! I currently am looking for a job but don’t have one yet! As of right now I’m available anytime for your pups. Can’t wait to meet you and you doggies! I usually feed , bath, brush teeth , brush out hair, take them for walks , make sure they have enough play time and obviously lots of cuddles and kisses!!
“Erica, we want to thank you so much for taking excellent care of our 4 cats. Erica was checking in on our cats twice daily for the week we were on vacation. She arrived right on schedule each day and fed and cared for our cats, and before checkout sent pictures from each visit. When we arrived home our pets were happy and well cared for, thanks to Erica. I highly recommend Erica to anyone who is looking for a reliable, honest and trustworthy caretaker for your pets.”

“Giovanna was amazing!! Drako loved being visited by her, she was very communicative with us and made sure we got pictures and updates on a visit baisis! We felt so happy and comfortable that our dog was being taken care by her! Definitely would recommend her with anyone that needs his/her dog taking care of! We would definitely will be thinking of her if we need someone to take care of our dog! Thanks Giovanna!!”

About: I currently have two kittens, Nala and Luna who are my everything. I've had dogs all throughout my life. I am doing this to fulfill my desire to meet and hang out with all sorts of pets. I currently live alone and work a 9-5 at an engineering research lab with a flexible schedule. Other than that, I am open and free to help with your pets. This includes weekends anytime, and also morning and evening stops at your house. I am open to learning anything that your pets need. I love playing with animals and ensuring that they feel safe with me. Anything you need including feeding, water, cleaning (changing litter box etc.) I'm all game for.
About: I have taken care of dogs of all breeds since I was little, friends and family have trusted me a lot to take them for a walk & feed their pets! I'm not currently working, so I have plenty of time to play with your puppies. I am available to take care of them on weekends and during the week, in what you do your activities! When I take care of the pets at home I make sure that everything is clean and with their respective water and their croquettes and that they feel at home!

About: I walked dogs in my neighborhood throughout all of middle and high school, and had well established clients for a number of years. I frequently pet/home sit as well, and am looking to expand my clientele. I’ve owned dogs my entire life and have experience both training puppies and caring for elderly dogs, so neither of those are challenges to me. Excited to care for some new pups and cats as well! I’m getting my Bachelor’s at George Mason University, but I only go in person for classes part time so my schedule is pretty flexible. I’m very comfortable entertaining and playing with dogs and cats both indoors and outdoors, and enjoy taking dogs on hikes in the Sligo area when the owners are comfortable with it. I love to snuggle up with and spoil furry friends, but am capable of being more strict with furniture allowance and training if requested!
“Will absolutely ask Coralie to watch our boys again. They are each capable of getting a little spicy and it was nice to know that she gets it, doesn’t mind, and will still have chill social time with them. Thanks Coralie!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was young! I’ve had one cat, 2 birds, and currently have a cute doggy! I love love love spending time with dogs and am willing to adjust to any special needs or attention your pet requires! I work part time as a Behavior Technician, so I will definitely have a lot of time to play with and tend to your cute pups! I currently have a pup at home, she’s super shy at first but extremely sweet and docile! Perfect if your pup gets along with others! If your pup needs to be taken care of alone, I do have another house to house them!
“We rely on Jared for walking our dogs and also for dropping in on our cats when we travel. He stays the whole time and plays with them in addition to feeding them and cleaning their litter boxes. All our pets like Jared.”

About: “Lifetime pet lover with experience caring for my own dog and my current cat. Excited to provide loving and reliable care for your furry friends!” “My schedule is flexible right now, so I’m available pretty much anytime to care for your pet! Morning, afternoon, or evening—I’ll be there whenever you need! I provide a safe, comfortable, and caring environment for pets, trying to ensure they feel at ease with gentle care, attention, and plenty of affection.
“Jason was wonderful. He was communicative, went above and beyond (like offering to pick up more food when I miscounted and didn't leave enough cans of food), and was generally lovely to correspond with. Me and my cats wholeheartedly endorse!”

About: I love pets! I have experience house/dog sitting for clients that have taken vacations of up to 15 days. While house sitting, I can also bring in mail and water plants. In the past, I have been able to watch up to 2 dogs at a time. I love the exercise that comes from walking dogs, and I welcome dogs that have both high and low energy levels. When given specific instructions about caring for someone's dog, I always follow them, never letting my previous experience and "what I usually do" come before meeting the expectations of my clients. I have lived with at least one dog as a pet for 18 years of my life. Let me take care of your dog and be an extension of your love towards them when you cannot be there. I have graduate school classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, but I am free for pet care outside of those hours. I am flexible to work around your schedule. I’ve house sat and taken care of cats and dogs while I’ve lived in the house. I’ve also stopped by house periodically to walk dogs and feed them. I’m open to both methods.
About: Hi there! I’m a veterinary student at the University of Glasgow Veterinary School. I’ve worked in a vet clinic and have experience giving medication. I have dog and cat care experience, as well as having a dog and two cats of my own. I know what it’s like to want the best for your pets and would love to provide that for them. I’ll be back home in Maryland from the 18th of May-July 3. Feel free to reach out to see if schedules line up :) . I’m very conscious that every pet has different needs. With some pets, long walks and high-energy activities are what make them happy, but I am equally happy to hang out at home and give them extra snuggles.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Langley Park
Lynleigh was very responsive and came across as extremely experienced with cats. Noodle, our cat, took to her after a minute or two of sniffing and we knew that he had someone he could trust and be cared for by while we were out of town. We received many pictures and updates, and did not need to reach out before hearing how things were going. As far as we are concerned, Lynleigh is our go to moving forward, and should be yours as well!

I cannot say enough good things about having Kim as our cat sitter. My last trip, she accommodated multiple scheduling changes. When one of my babies was particularly struggling with the separation, she took special care of him, was flexible with modifying longer visits, and amply communicated and reassured me.
Erin provided exceptional pet care for our cat and tortoise! She sent detailed daily updates and photos that assured us they were being well cared for. Erin also stepped in on a moments notice to feed a pregnant outdoor stray on our porch until help could be provided to the roving kitty. She ensured our ferns and houseplants were watered too. When we returned, food bowls and boxes were clean, and fresh water was in dishes. We highly recommend Erin and will definitely request her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Langley Park. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
